After six successful shows in Japan, the “We Are Glamily” tour now is in Shanghai, China. Adam has been here before for The Voice and a Hennessy Artistry event. And now he even has a game endorsement! China really loves Adam and it will be interesting to see the reaction to a full concert. The show at the Mercedes-Benz Arena begins at 7:30 PM Shanghai time (6:30 AM EST, 3:30 AM PST).

    I feel like total crap so of course I came here for some pretty! Damn but Ashley just gets hotter and hotter.

    Love love Love Adam in Bob Fosse mode…the top hat, the moves…his scorned (by some) musical theater background serves him well on a concert stage.
    Adam in Cabaret? Sure.
    But also Pippin, another Fosse musical…I can totally see Adam as the First Player, the role Ben Vereen played. I would love to hear him sing Pippin’s part, though, especially the song about not fitting in…okay, let’s give Adam the part of Pippin. Kesha for his non-love interest, it isn’t hugely challenging vocally and she would be great. Cher for his mother (she would OWN that role!). So now we need a First Player….?

    I would totally go anywhere and pay almost anything to see that!

    So I googled “what is the Greek symbol AE”?

    The Greek god Aeolus.

    I don’t know if there is an ancient symbol for him
    but by the 1600’s He appeared on maps as a face in a cloud
    with his cheeks puffed up, lips pursed as blowing out wind.
    (curly lines drawn from the mouth representing the movement of air)

    hmmm of course I don’t even know if it is Greek.

    I’m for Pippin as well. Adam Broadway trifecta: Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Pippin! Surely there are more roles just waiting for him.

    He could play Che in Evita. It’s not a to-die-for role but it requires very strong vocals and a female Diva in the lead. Adam would kill it. Not totally feeling that one though.

    TLKC, we know the boy can sing absolutely anything.
    It’s fun thinking about roles that especially suit him.

    His interview in NYC in January made me so happy when he sounded (for the first time, really) quite open to the idea of a turn on Broadway.

    The only sketch of Calcutta that I remember is the Sam Shepard monologue “When I run, I run like a river.” I am a HUGE Sam Shepard fan and Richard Gere performed that piece.

    Have to admit: I kinda like this tattoo already.
    ETA: haven’t checked urban dictionary yet!
    ETA: now I have and I think you can interpret Freak of Nature pretty much any way you want. Adam is unusual in many ways (from being gay to his unreal voice), so I think it fits him very well.

    There were many other definitions of freak of nature before the urban dictionary came along and I’m voting for multiple meanings; as in his voice is a freak of nature etc. Adam is a man of many meanings and double-entendres.
