After six successful shows in Japan, the “We Are Glamily” tour now is in Shanghai, China. Adam has been here before for The Voice and a Hennessy Artistry event. And now he even has a game endorsement! China really loves Adam and it will be interesting to see the reaction to a full concert. The show at the Mercedes-Benz Arena begins at 7:30 PM Shanghai time (6:30 AM EST, 3:30 AM PST).

    Slept in but it looks as though I haven’t missed much.

    I read somewhere that they opened a top tier in the hall to expand to the audience to 6000 but they were only adding sponsors. Apparently ticket prices for this concert were very high. Maybe HK Fan can confirm. She would have a much better handle on this.

    I just took a trip around twitter and read that Adam took a lump sum for Shanghai, rather than a % of the gate. The promoters opened another tier and sold the last 1000 at $$$ so Adam lost out on some of the proceeds. Sad, but they probably thought it was safer to take the money upfront.

    Well, he does have the video deal $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
    I was telling someone about the Rift deal yesterday and they don’t understand why I was happy Adam got it, that it was probably huge money, etc. They said he’s a “singer” and doesn’t understand why I was happy he’s making money.

    In a few words can someone offer examples of why I should be happy and what to say? In my mind I know but I get tongue tied and I want to be intelligent and shut them up!!

    Please let there be vids this morning so I can drool over them with all of you. I haven’t been able to do that in real time so far. My workload is seasonally adjusting to a 3-day week for the next 2 months so I might get to see the videos as they come in on Tuesday and Friday. YAY!

    Hi all.
    I don’t know what the cost of the Shanghai tickets were. If someone knows, I can tell you if they’re expensive or not.

    The tickets for the HK show are $590, and $790. (I have the $790 one). Divide by 7 I think to get US dollar prices.

    This is the standard price in HK for concerts, theatre tickets, sports matches etc. Some big named stars (Gaga) are twice that nearly.

    That’s weird luval. Maybe they think he’s making so much money as a singer that a big fan would prefer him to make it singing, ‘cos that’s where it’s at for him.

    A lot of people think he’s making big bucks already so what’s the deal? We are like moms and want him to have a fully feathered nest, no matter how he gets it (well almost no matter how he gets it.)

    Just tell them you’re excited because he’s a big enough singer to get endorsements in other areas. Alternatives:

    Sniff and say: “At least he’s not doing a perfume like every other Tommy, Dick and Hollywood Harry!” (Worry about the consequences of that comment if/when Adam gets a perfume deal.)

    Say: “Don’t you get it? It’s China – huge bucks! Not some crummy US deal with only 400 million people!” Then sniff.

    Damn, is that the arm with the vomiting warlock? Then this would be the lower part of the sleeve. Whatever. Surprised that he didn’t tweet it.
    This weekend is a big tattoo convention here and there have been some pics in the paper that are hard to look at. It kinda puts Adam’s relatively harmless tattoos in perspective. One guy with concentric circles on his face, like a target. What was he thinking?!?!

    On a related note, what happened to the OOFTA tattoo? Looks like it was removed?

    I don’t really like tattos either but oofta is small, has meaning (imho something to do with restraint of drink or thinking twice) and it is related to Sauli.

    I dislike the spewing man tattoo and wish Adam would stop or stick to small ones but c’est la vie.

    I spoke to a young guy at my gym who is having tattoos removed from his hand. He said that service industries don’t like to hire people with hand tattoos because you use your hands to serve people and words might turn them off. He is in the middle of four painful treatments that must be done over time. I can’t remember the amount of time between treatments but it’s long. It takes several months according to him.

    I hope Adam doesn’t find himself doing that.
