Let the party begin! Adam and guests including Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Fergie, Kelly Osbourne, Bill Clinton, Carmen Electra and Elton John are set to participate in the 21st Life Ball “Fighting Aids and Celebrating Life” at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. It is said to be the biggest Aids charity event in Europe. This year’s theme is 1001 Nights and Adam is to be “Ali Baba” and sing the theme song “Love Wins Over Glamour” to open the show. Enjoy the extravaganza that seems especially suited to “love to dress up” Adam. Look for the single to be available on iTunes as in previous years.

    I knew there would be videos later, but I was thrilled to see it on the Live Stream. Mine came in perfectly. Oh, the two announcers said a few things, but no ads or stalling on mine. Sorry some didn’t get the reception as well. It’s hard to believe the the enormity of this show. Adam was a perfect fit. The only other guy there I’d like to see is Bill Clinton. I’ve met Adam and I’d sure like to meet Pres. Clinton. Wink

    The press started to pick up the news of Adam at Life Ball.

    Do we have a new song from Adam Lambert? It certainly looks that way! While at the Life Ball event this weekend in Vienna (which is designed to raise awareness against AIDS and money to help fight against the disease), the former “American Idol” star, who may be under consideration to become a judge next season, debuted a full version of a song entitled “Love Wins Over Glamour.” Adam wrote on his Twitter that this song was written specifically for the event, so we don’t want to speculate yet as to whether or not this is intended to go on a future record, or will just be released as a charity single at some point.

    I’m such a sentimental sap.

    I see this Ali Baba performance and I can’t help but juxtapose it with the photo that was shown on AI of little boy Adam with a penciled on mustache extending his cape, playing dress-up, and wanting to be an adult.

    That little boy could never have imagined then what he realized today and I get a lump in my throat to know that he had a dream and that it came true.

    Remarkable! I loved it!

    Adam flies halfway around the world and is at the same table with Kelly O at what looks like a press conference.

    I read the lyrics to the song and was way less than impressed, but it works when it is sung! Yes, I can hear that on the radio but … TBH, it is a song from an AIDS fundraiser, sung by a gay singer. If they wouldn’t play Adam singing other things, not sure they why would play this, in particular.

    At some point, he will be such a well-known and accepted star that the discrimination will have to end. Not yet, but it seems to be on the horizon.

    Mine was a different color but it was very close to and almost the exact same thing.

    Such “old hat”, I gave it away to Goodwill three years ago.

    Loved this performance, the coat and boots, the setting…everything. And I love the song, its really catchy.
    Could have done without the Austrian voices talking over him though…with Mils, I hope some computer savvy fan is able to get rid of the voices.

    I’ve gotten down to a few sites that I search for his wardrobe pieces. It’s funny because now they pop up in ads on my computer all the time!

    I love the new image that glamberts seem to have acquired over time. From the idea that all were crazy sparkle cows to an obvious respect in a lot of quarters.
    I am glad for Adam’s sake.

    Wonder if he gets to keep the coat? Bet he made an offer if it wasn’t given to him. Wondering when we will see it again!

    Some on twitter believe that it is the same coat, just a “bit” embellished! I tend to agree. Look at this pic. Same lines, same fit, same same.

    Don’t think the sleepwalker coat, after months of touring, would have been worth putting that much $$$ of applique on.

    Did anyone watch the speeches and the full fashion show? Elton John was so good, he puts so much passion into his speech, like he did in Kiev.
    And the fashion show!!!! OMG, sooooo many beautiful gowns, really amazing.
    I really don’t get their love for Carmen Electra though….she is just meh to me. Or Azealia Banks, either…
