It is said to be the biggest Aids charity event in Europe. This year’s theme is 1001 Nights and Adam is to be “Ali Baba” and sing the theme song “Love Wins Over Glamour” to open the show. Enjoy the extravaganza that seems especially suited to “love to dress up” Adam. Look for the single to be available on iTunes as in previous years.

The song was way more than I expected, there was some breakdown in the middle, but I am sure they will take that out of the song. He kept it together, I am sure that he know they were going to talk during it. He is such a performer!

OMG, I just arrived at the San Francisco airport for a well-timed layover enroute to LA, quickly fumbled around to get an internet connection, struggled to get the livestream to work on this airport wifi connection, and then voila! At 12:53 the livestream started and there was Adam already singing!!
LOL the stream was so slow that it would show 5-10 seconds and then buffer for 1-2 minutes, and I missed significant portions of the song. But it was worth it!
That was awesome!! WOW! The song, the beat, the production, the spectacle, Adam’s voice, Adam’s costume, Adam on stage – WOOOOT!!
Now fingers crossed for excellent uninterrupted videos with excellent sound and the song available on iTunes. I don’t ask for much, but this I’m asking for.
Maybe he sang some of it live over the backing tracks.
For sure he sang back up on the song, you can hear him wailing over himself in the snippets released earlier. It reminded me of Runnin and Pick U Up with all the tracks over tracks of pure Adam vocals. (( Sniff-wipes eyes–I just love that so much ))

I think he was probably singing live over a pretty heavy duty set of backing tracks. I’m assuming all of the music was prerecorded, and obviously there were many layers of his prerecorded voice. (It’s also possible he was lipsynching all or portions of it – that was a huge production. )

Just want to express my thanks to aely for posting a great video of this performance . Now we can see/hear just how really good this was…after the problems with ads interrupting, slow speed of the stream and the bufferring. Thanks for making this a really great afternoon!

He must have had such a blast – what with all the costumes and the 40 cute robbers!!! From what I heard the announcers say, he himself planted the idea of participating in this event, and the song is by two Austrian guys called “Beat for Feat?”, and -super random- after his first visit with them he had Wiener Schnitzel (which is a sort of breaded veal cutlet).

So do people think that the song will be released? Maybe for charity? I love it, but really can’t watch because I get so angry when I hear the German drowning out his singing
By the way, someone mentioned the possibility of lip-synching, I just watched the speeches and it was clear that the audio and video isn’t in synch.
Last year’s theme song “Blindfold” was released to iTunes about 3 weeks after the show aired. Let’s hope that they realize that Glamberts can’t wait and will release it sooner. It seems that they already have the recording done so it should be easy to put it on iTunes!
