Let the party begin! Adam and guests including Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Fergie, Kelly Osbourne, Bill Clinton, Carmen Electra and Elton John are set to participate in the 21st Life Ball “Fighting Aids and Celebrating Life” at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. It is said to be the biggest Aids charity event in Europe. This year’s theme is 1001 Nights and Adam is to be “Ali Baba” and sing the theme song “Love Wins Over Glamour” to open the show. Enjoy the extravaganza that seems especially suited to “love to dress up” Adam. Look for the single to be available on iTunes as in previous years.

    Thanks AL for special thread. So excited for Adaam! Love that luval and part of our Canadian friends get to experience the event together.

    If CA gets the idol gig I will have to take it as a sign that Adam is being saved for much bigger and better things. Not sure how I feel about JH. On one hand she is a very strong person who has overcome immense tragedy in her life. On the other hand she hasn’t been a fan of idol and has said she thought it should end. Her lack of loyalty plus my dislike of her style of singing leave me cold re the hire decision.

    They just had a test of the live stream and it looks great! Can’t wait for tonight.     During the Life Ball song 2013, interpreter Adam Lambert as Ali Baba will come under the spell of the treasure of the 40 thieves, who will accompany his performance by their dancing. The US singer, whose career started off at “American Idol“, is famous for his extraordinary voice, with covers several octaves, as well as his flamboyant-theatrical performances. He was the first openly homosexual pop artist who signed a contract with a major music label in the US.

    At the end of the song, the famous words “Open, sesame!” show their meaning at the Life Ball, as they fully open the stage for the first time. About 270 protagonists – harem girls, belly dancers, musicians of a Turkish orchestra as well as the debutants – begin to move together according to the motto “Alles Leben” (“All live”) and accompanied by the 1001 Nights Waltz by Johann Strauss Jun.
