I was not planning to wake up at 4:00am to watch the live stream. I have too much to so today, but I woke up at 4:50 so I thought I would see the last 10 minutes and then go back to sleep. Well….I opened my I-pad and got the interview, so of course I couldn’t turn that off, and then the concert came on and I watched the whole thing! Only this morning I realized it was an immediate repeat broadcast! What can I say? Lots, but mostly I was totally blown away by Love Kills. If I wasn’t already in bed I would have been on the floor. I think that is the most beautiful I have ever heard him sing, and the song allowed for so many variations in his voice. I had never heard the song before and it was just so absolutely gorgeous. Better stop….I am gushing.
Haven’t managed to catch up with everything, but just finished watching the full youtube….wow, didn’t know Love Kills, but love it, everything about it, especially the vocals…already downloaded…..
Hard to gauge the audience…find often of these proper filmed concerts that they tend to ‘turn down’ the audience volume.
Thought Roger sounded a bit off…..apart from that amazing…Love his lower register.

Adam was very much the frontman, talking, engaging the audience. Brian never said a word during the concert. This didn’t happen in the previous concerts where Adam was more of a guest of Queen. I have a feeling that this was a message to Queen fans…Accept this guy. We do, and he is part of us! It also might have something to do with the fact that it was in the States and they felt that this is Adam’s home territory.
They had better straighten out Adam’s audio problems. He was fiddling with his earphones the whole concert, and at the end he said he didn’t hear a thing!
Not sure about the crowd. They weren’t as excited as I would have liked, but then again, most of them might have ben recording on their I-phones, so they had to stay still, lol. It could also be a factor of where the mics are placed. Sometimes we can’t hear the audience reaction even though they are really loud. We need reactions fro people who were there. I haven’t followed twitter feeds. What have people there said?

luval, I think that Adam was distracted by his problems with his ear pieces, too. He said he couldn’t hear a thing! And yet he came out with such a masterful performance. Such a professional.
Why is there such a problem with the ear pieces? They had rehearsals – don’t understand.
Great show! Appetite whetted! I loved Love Kills – so powerful! I’m confident that whatever little glitches they had tonight (e.g. ear pieces) will be well worked out as the arena shows unfold. They will be a well-oiled machine before you know it.
So funny that Adam says “I can’t hear a fucking thing” and then proceeds to sing “Don’t Stop Me Now” flawlessly.

rs-while I was caught up in the emotion of each moment, the duke was taking in the big picture of the entire I Heart show and said almost the same thing when it was over. Adam is truly an integral part of Queen…Brian and Roger know it and obviously want it that way…he is “their guy” and they are thrilled he is (as are we!) and Adam knows it too. He was comfortable last night…(no obvious nerves as may have been in the past)except for those damn ear pieces! Made me crazy yet he never missed a note and sang perfectly. Yes, it may very well be a message to Queen fans (especially since there are still many nasty comments out there(e.g. Lindsay Parker’s timeline of Adam and Queen coming together…)that bothered me to read especially for their stupidity and lack of knowledge and research about the subject.
This is going to be an unbelievable EXPERIENCE this summer…I can’t wait! Of course I need to pack for Chicago 1st..lol! See you soon!
little dutchess Juneau just wrote a whole blog, which I refuse to bring here. She thinks that he still doesn’t feel at all a part of Queen. She said that Adam’s energy level went down after FBG and that he was more concerned with looking at Brian than connecting with the audience. (She didn’t like his comment at the end of the song.) She wants him to relax and connect with the crowd like he did on Idol. It is like she forgot all about the GNT, WAG, and especially the London shows with Queen where I saw him VERY relaxed and connected with the audience. This was like a live dress rehearsal and they had to make sure that they were on the same page. He couldn’t hear a thing through those damn ear pieces, he had to look at Brian! It is just going to get better and betterer.
