Doors open for this concert at 615 PM local time, with the opening act Jannika B. expected on stage at 715 PM, followed by Adam at 815 PM local time (215 PM EDT, 1115 AM PDT). That Adam is going to be on American Idol this week?
Contestant Paul Jolley tweeted a couple of times that he was going to meet Adam Lambert next week.
Where else could Paul Jolley meet Adam unless it was on AI?
At the time that he made that tweet, he couldn’t have known that he was going to be eliminated as of the last show.
AI is going to do a kind of retrospective “where are they now” segments throughout the season so, just speculation on my part but, I think we might … just might … see Adam on AI next week.

Damn. So close, in the same city, but still not close enough. Music at the club was awful. They played Cuckoo once when I was there. I danced anyway with some not-teen finnberts. Only positive thing was that I had a long chat with one fan of my age, we have a lot in common. She lives in Helsinki. Would love to meet her again.
I have to give away my hotel room tomorrow at noon. I would not like to return to non-Adam reality yet. riskies and Agatha.hb will visit tomorrow a nice old town nearby. I just want to watch videos

Sometimes I’m so touched by how much love there is between and among Adam and his fans. And when he is so amazing the way he was tonight, it just blows me away.
Hi all! Still reeling from the exuberant show last night. Even risky hubby was on his feet dancing. Sorry no time for recap now, going to Porvoo on south coast with aely’s dad, agate.hb and daughter and possible German glambert. I skipped after party due to bad cold and sore throat. Pretty sure LadyNorth and aely sleeping right now. What a crowd!!!! Believe it or not, even with such a large venue the LOVE was at same level of Hammersmith!!! Soooo fun and THE WAILS! Back later and surely you will hear more from aely and LadyNorth! Hubby champing at the bit for breakfast!

Whew! What can I say? When I went to bed last night a lot of the vids had come through but I woke up at 7:00 this morning and watched them all over again plus the rest that have been posted. That has to be one of the best shows. if not THE best show that he has ever put on! The energy, the VOICE, the love he gave and that he got back were just out of this world. The whole ensemble were just perfect together. I haven’t watched that many of the vids lately, but last night’s Fever was so much fun, the talking before the intros in Shady, the emotion in Chokehold, everything in Broken English….I could go on and on and on….were just the best.
How is it that the whole world doesn’t know that he is the best entertainer out there? I take that back. A lot of the world knows. How is it that the conservative US refuses to acknowlege him when foul mouthed, violent, crudely sexy for sexy’s sake without other redeeming qualities seem just fine for them? What is so threatening about him? (don’t answer that, I don’t want to get into a downer discussion right now when we are revelling in Adam’s fabulousness)
Anyway, he will go on being his charming, talented self and win them over one by one. As for the others…..It is their loss. We love him and and thank the stars for having him and for the way that he has brought us together and enriched our lives.

I watched a couple of vids. Have to pack now, and going to meet for coffee 2 young glamberts who had M&Gs. Not ready to visito yet to my non-glambert friends, lol. The other fan is one of those who had a tent outside venue since Wed. Adam asked them for meet and greet because of that!

According to AQD, they all took the afternoon flight to LA.
So I have been thinking about the set list for last night. I know that some people were hoping for Stay or Underneath, and others have complained that OOL’s Reggae vibe doesn’t fit with the meaning behind the song, but last night’s set list reflected Adam’s state of mind right now…PURE JOY! There wasn’t a single sad or non-optimistic song in the bunch. With his little speech and lively beat he has turned OOL into an anthem for togetherness and even Chokehold had a fierce, sexy, rock vibe.
Everything about the concert was love! He is in such a fantastic place, coming off of such a fabulous tour (including being so well received in countries known for their homophobia), reconnecting with the love of his life after a long separation, and performing in a country that has adopted him as one of their own and given him the recognition and superstar status that has eluded him in his own home.
Let’s hope that he fills the next few months with more concerts at home and in Canada while he works on his new music. I personally, hope that he goes toward a more rock vibe on the album. He is soooooooo goooooood at it, and that kind of vibe permeates his best concerts.
Just one more thought, if he is thinking about a great set list for San Diego, Stay would go over great with the American audiences( please, please, please)

Quite the show our BB put on yesterday. Re: Johnny’s tweet about what we don’t know, maybe this means that another mini tour is being planned. In one of Sauli’s recent interviews, the magazine said that Adam’s tour would continue while Sauli was working on his show. Could have been a mistake by the writer but I prefer to dream in technicolour.
Something to the AI rumour, though. Poor Paul Jolley is going to miss out but he wouldn’t have made it up.

I just looked at a new video of an interview in Moscow that was just posted to 24/7. I find it interesting that Adam wore a sparkly t-shirt and A TON of eye makeup to the interview.In a country rolling in homophobia now, he could have dressed down… That boy knows how to be subversive!
I’m going to keep all my whatsis crossed that some day a package will come to my door of this concert. Simply the best of the best.

But it’s wonderful to see so many friends, my old ones and all the new ones I have met. But too little time to meet everyone. This was such a wonderful very international glambert gathering. Some are still around and partying – again 
I could not, lol. But still very high, or maybe feeling very warm and happy inside. This experience will carry me far. There could not have been any better med for breaking up sadness! Loved aely‘s recap, it was so true and so well said. I see if I have something else to recap on Monday, after watching the show again on vids

ATTENTION:
I have given my web hosting provider the go-ahead to perform the long anticipated upgrade to a higher level of service. I don’t know exactly when this will take place, but it likely will occur within the next 24-48 hours. There is not supposed to be any data loss, but there may be a short period where the site goes offline. If there is data loss (this would only affect very recent comments and would not affect any entire posts), I have downloaded backups which can restore the site to its current condition. I didn’t want to do this upgrade before now since we were in the middle of the tour. Now that the tour has ended and we have a few weeks before the next show it seems like a good time to go ahead.
Again, my apologies for the site going offline during the Helsinki concert yesterday. Unfortunately this is the nature of website hosting, just when you want it the most and interest is the highest, is also the time when the hosting infrastructure is stressed the most and the chances of overload become greatest. I think this upgrade should prevent such problems from occurring in the future.

@milwlovesadam: after watching Adam live singing Chokehold.. the song became my new favorite from Trespassing … But even though I love love love when Adam perform fever… My great “yeah” moment was during “Dragon Attach”…Yeah love Rockin’ Adam as well….
Not sure whether the next album will be a rock album or a funk album… Adam seems to get a lot of people “rocking” to Shady… (still remember the Hennessy artistry video) which is more funk…

I am now in Kotka and staying with my friend in her village. It is crazy remote and had to hack into her computer to post. She and her family and friends are so wonderful it has been so worth the effort to be here. We left the hotel today at noon and there was a large crowd waiting for Adam. My friend said hey they should yell for us! They liked Adam’s songs but didn’t know anything much about Trespassing so I gave them the CD I got from the concert. They were like yeah he is good but I like the rock stuff better. So, I just happened to have my DVD from jlurks and brought it with me to their house. When we got there she put on Trespassing and we listened to it the whole way through. Her parents, sister and brother in law show up next. Half way through the meal my friend says hey Adam is not singing anymore and turns back on the CD. As we listen, my friends boyfriend’s kid’s come in (6 and 9) and know who is singing. I love this! So, we eat and move to the living area and the boyfriend says, you know that was a really good concert, I am glad I went. That spurs the Queen discussion and I offer the DVD. Her parent speak NO english but know who Adam is and thought he should have won. They all know Sauli and love him. The brother in law was the only negative. So, we watch the DVD and her mother and sister start freaking out how much he is like Elvis and how beautiful he is. So, I show the the pics from home planet and they freak out even more. Brother in law in intrigued and wants to see more so we watch you tube then the Queen live aid video to compare. By the end all were on board but all agreed they wish he would stick with Queen or do a rock record. But all were Adamized….is that a word? It is really great to spend time with true Finns and they all know who Adam is and say that he is “huge” Love that!
This has really been an awesome experience and just know there is more to come! More concert info later but wanted to keep in touch. It is almost 4 am so time for bed!
@Nadine_Bitch…. Hi hi… Chokehold is my song for a romantic setting.. doesn’t make sense right ? Just imagine that you cannot understand all the words and just go with the melody and Adam’s singing.. So fierce… So does romanticism equals fierce to me ??

OMG aely, I love your post. You were Adam’s ambassador in a big way and you converted a whole family. Congrats. It’s so amazing how far jlurksacto’s DVD project is reaching.
Last night I saw a documentary on Queen tribute bands, focus Freddie. It is part of a Tribute Band series. It was shot in 2007, before WWRY and Queen Extravaganza. The Freddies were really good. One of them was touring full-time and supporting his family on the proceeds. He was a bit older and a really dedicated fan with an amazing voice. I am sure that Queen’s projects have affected his success more than a little bit. These guys aren’t in Adam’s class or anything like him but their feelings for Freddie and the music is so real, you have to love them.
So, went to Russia today. turns out my friend lives less than 30 minutes from the border. You know what that equals? Cold, biting cold, freezing my a#* off cold. On the train back to Helsinki. Boo! But, have to go find my dad. Thanks Risky for babysitting yesterday!
A couple other things from last night. When Adam did the lip curl during Crazy Little Thing Called Love my friends mom and sister literally jumped up from their seats and started
screaming. I asked what they were saying and mom was saying “it is true reincarnation exists” and my friend’s friend was saying she would like to lick him. Too funny! Even funnier in Finnish. The BIL got irritated during Bo Rap (because of the loud flailing) and shushed everoneand made me rewind.
Then today we were at lunch with just my friend and her boyfriend and she said you know when he dedicated that song to Sauli you felt the love and it was like he was our friend inviting us in. Her boyfriend said he has a powerful presence and showed me the AT LEAST 20 pics he took of him! None great as they were far away. But you don’t take pics of people you don’t like.
That is what I love the most. So Trespassing wasn’t received as well as it could have been but what Adam has is what others lack. Magic. The more people see him the more he will continue to break down those walls and make him gain more and more fans. He gained 8 in one night. Gay or not, who cares! He is who he is and he should be proud of what he has accomplished with this tour gaining new fans in some of the hardest countries to be gay and he held his head up and did his thing and got fantastic reviews. It still might take some time and more bumps but man, I am one proud fan and could not have witnessed anything more uplifting and positive.
Okay, to the bar car! I have tons to catch up on as I have not had Internet access so I get to read the thread and watch videos tonight. Maybe tomorrow I can catch up on the March thread. About 100 posts behind.
aely, what lovely posts, warm my heart. Your friend and her family sound wonderful, so nice they fell into the glitter lol. Even in Finland, resistance is futile. I think most of us cannot even imagine the hard work that goes into conceptualizing a show, stage design, the int’l travel and audiences, pleasing so many people of different cultures successfully (while gay btw), weather and jetlag – he is truly courageous and I admire that as much as everything else.
Adam is passionate, exciting, unsettling, envelope-pushing. I hope he never dumbs it down for the masses. Instead, I hope performances, word of mouth, social media (and maybe one hit would be nice) keep broadening his fan base of discriminating music lovers.
