After much anticipation, we are finally going to see (and hear) Adam back on the network where we first met him: Fox TV. He plays Elliott (Starchild) Gilbert on Glee and is to have a recurring role. That also means that after each appearance new music will be available on iTunes and Amazon! Glee airs Thursdays at 9/8c on FOX.
This thread will be the place for everything Glee starting with the first show on November 7, 2013. So please post any interviews, photos, links here and if there is anything from previous threads that you feel should be here, feel free to bring it over!

I think Adam can do anything and everything. I really don’t think months or years from now we’ll hear Adam in an interview saying he wished he hadn’t done a certain show. My opinion. Time is a movin’ on. Glee will be a distant memory. Am happy to see it now. imo.

Over the past few months Shoshanna has asked for dates, fotos, other info. I realize she handles other artists too, but still…one UK blogger even joked that she should ask fans to pick up her dry cleaning. She’s good I agree, but inconsistent.
Well – hope the Gleeks like it and sing his praises again – that’s what matters in the end. Get that audience.
I really really hope Adam can do a solo in this show. Please, universe make this happen! And I don’t care what it is. Twinkle twinkle little star…I’ll be happy.

For now, we have rumored studio recordings, possible labels/producers, possible Queen dates, possible movie/VoiceOver offers. At least, confirmed new music on Avicii’s 2014 album. Meantime, I’m enjoying his stint on Glee (much like those of Kate Hudson, Sarah J Parker, Whoopi Goldberg, Adam’s friend Idina Menzel) and the next two concerts.

I guess the only thing we know definite is Miami this Saturday and Biloxi & Winstar NYE. Oh, Trevor project December 8th. Even Jungle Book…Jon Favreau is “in talks” to direct and “rough draft” to be submitted. So this will be awhile.

luval, the song list for this episode is out, and no solo for Adam that I could see. Even his next February one has a duet with Chris but no solo (yet). It’s an ensemble show, and he’s playing a member of a band. I’ll be surprised and happy if he gets more solos. But I love that he’s playing his part well and correctly for now, which to me is a good credit to him. I still have hope that Starchild will inevitably burst forth at some point, unable to contain his Starchild-ness any longer!

I am very curious how the apartment might come into play for Starchild/Elliott. Maybe soccermom is on to something with the twin theme. But I think they are taking it slow with Adam’s character. They wouldn’t want the Gleeks to be upset that some of the original actors aren’t getting enough screen time. I think it’s a work in progress.
I didn’t get the head smack either! All I could think of was Cuckoo.
I think she asked for pics when Adam was dropped. RCA probably had rights to the pictures she had. She has always engaged with fans so why not ask for help when she knew that she would get a response in minutes.
Peter Pop rags on her for everything so that is normal banter. Not at all just Adam related.
As I said I love watching him on the show but still think he is better than that. The other guest stars had big showcase numbers not singing back up to puppets or a random band. I hate that fox song so much, that could be part of my pissy state of mind.

He’s showing his musical chops to millions of people again. He can sing, dance and act. He pops off the screen, he is magnetic. He is sexy, handsome and oozes talent.
This is simply not a waste at all. He will have major stuff coming off of this. I predict it.

I’ve watched the youtube a couple of times, but the sound and pic quality is not great….need to see a clearer version, but it does look rather cheesy…don’t think I’ll be rewatching this one as many times as MTN.

The iTunes version is longer than the video that was posted on the Glee website. They might cut the songs for the show and have full versions available for purchase.

Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate! Rushing out of town but wanted to give my regards. I love that Adam is on Glee and getting such fantastic exposure. It is hard for me to see him be a cast member in dorky clothes but that is part of the Glee experience for all but a very select few that Ryan Murphy casts as the cool guys. Hopefully this episode of poorly chosen songs and wardrobe won’t be the norm for our Starchild. Looking forward to Saturday’s concert. Someone on twitter mentioned that he will probably let loose. Here’s hoping!!! Oh, and isn’t it wonderful that GB got a little exposure too!

Happy Thanksgiving, ALL! Looking forward to seeing Adam on my TV tonight and I simply don’t care if it is cheesy, dorky or whatever. As mils said, he’s showing his musical chops to millions. Maybe even more importantly, for future projects, he is showing his acting abilities to millions and will get more and more offers. The more he shows a willingness to act the part, dorky or not, the more directors and producers will want to work with him. He is showing that he is a team player AND an outstanding, ubertalented musician and actor. While I agree, aely, that his musical talent is underutilized, to say the least, look at the big picture. He can’t buy this kind of exposure and he’s getting paid for it! So I hope he is on Glee as a guest star until he gets too busy or until the end. Case in point: I went to see Frozen with my daughter yesterday. Two guest stars from Glee, Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff (from Lancaster, PA!), were lead character voices. They didn’t come to Disney’s attention by being on Broadway!!!

I am LOVING Adam on Glee. I agree with sparkle, adamized, mils, little dutchess , and others here about what a fantastic opportunity this is for him. He is showing himself to new audiences to be the incredibly talented, handsome, charming, funny, likable man that he is. And he is showing those in the industry that he can act, sing, and dance, that he’s a team player in an ensemble cast, that he has a sense of humor and doesn’t take himself too seriously, and that he’s easy to work with. And he’s clearly having a fun time with it.
Is it cheesy and corny? Of course, it’s Glee. The Fox song is stupid, but it’s a hit, and it’s light-hearted and fun (and I love the puppets!). Do I want him to bust out and show what he can really do in the middle of Into The Groove? Oh yeah. But that was Kurt’s fantasy, so of course Kurt is in the lead and in control. Adam got to showcase himself beautifully in Marry The Night. He won’t get a showcase piece every episode. I believe that they are developing his character over time, and that Elliott is clearly on an arc. He will bust out again as Starchild, I’m confident of that. Probably when he pole dances singing that The Darkness song with Kurt.
Meanwhile we get to enjoy sweet, adorkable, handsome Elliott, and see the rest of the cast fall in love with him. All good with me!
Anytime Adam is on my TV is a good time!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating! I’m looking forward to seeing Adam on Glee tonight in spite of the unfortunate song choices. I have to agree with mils and sparkle. Adam’s run on Glee will only result in good things. He’s getting tremendous exposure for both his singing and acting talents, not to mention his charisma and drop dead gorgeous looks. This will open up many new opportunities for him. (I get palpitations just thinking of Adam in a movie as the leading man!) Glee is an ensemble show, so we can’t expect Adam’s talents to be showcased in every episode he’s in. He may be Elliott in this episode, but I’m expecting Starchild to surface again later with some interesting results. Since they’re building a set for his apartment, I expect Elliott to be around for a while. I’d be thrilled if he continued with appearances into season 6. The more exposure the better.
I’ve been a fan of Glee since the first episode. For those of you, ulti and others who don’t get it, I’d suggest that you go back and watch season 1. I bought the DVD for season 1 and have watched it several times. It was the best season and sets up the whole premise for the show. It’s an ensemble show that tackles some very serious topics in a goofy, snarky and OTT manner, interspersed with song. Some of the plot themes are hilariously outrageous. The original high school cast was great. Now that those characters have graduated, the real interest is in New York. I hope they shift the entire show to New York next year.
Another thought…I’m sure Adam’s presence on the show is good for the rest of the cast as well, as they recover from the loss of Cory. Adam is a team player and so positive, talented, full of interesting ideas. It’s win/win for everyone involved, not to mention us fans.

Love your posts cwm and mmm222!!! mmm – ITA with season 1 being the best and Adam’s assistance with the cast and crew’s recovery from the loss of Cory/Finn. Even if Adam stays on Glee longer to just help Lea/Rachel recover (which he is doing perfectly!), I am fine with that!
I also love Adam on Glee. He does seem kinda lost at times in the
group being a follower. I can just feel him wanting to burst out, a
hit in the head to remind himself, hold back. Glee is one step closer
for Adams deserving, magnificent future. OMG, I love him.
I was out running around most of the day thinking about how I would answer those who think that Adam has already gotten as much as he can from Glee and should leave now. I shouldn’t have worried. mils, cwm, riskylady, sparkle,and mmm222 have stated the case perfectly. So I won’t repeat what they said, but you know me, I have to add a few thoughts of my own. I remember when Adam’s participation in Glee was first announces we wondered if it was a one time thing or a recurring role, and we all hoped that he would be on a number of episodes. We were delighted to know it wasn’t a one-time thing. He was given a huge solo in his first episode and now, as is wont on ensemble casts, he is one of the group. Similar to what mmm222 just said, Adam is giving back now. And he is loving it! He may be our superstar, but he has a long history of being a part of a cast and crew and even though he wanted a solo career, I imagine that part of him misses the camaraderie. As much as we would love to see Adam sing solos on each episode, he isn’t the star of the show (it isn’t called The Adam Lambert Hour)and even the main characters don’t often get solos. And even if the show isn’t as popular as it was in the past, every performance he gives will be a gem, and will garner him more notice, fans, and positive reviews. Nothing negative from the show is going to rub off on him.
And the most important thing to remember. It isn’t an either/or situation. Being on Glee isn’t keeping Adam from working on his album or performing. He is showing the world, including producers, directors, backers, etc, what a multi-talented asset he can be to any project that may come up in the future.
I actually love Adam on Glee, too. “Marry the Night” was tremendous and showcased his strengths so well. Also Adam does really well in the acting department. It’s just those two songs from today’s show that I do not appreciate. But overall, I still believe there is much to be gained from the Glee gig. And with that Happy Thanksgiving to all.
And we haven’t even seen the show yet! Hopefully he will have some more speaking parts

I don’t mind him being in the ‘group’, or background. I loved their group part of Roar the other week, he looked amazing, sounded fab, just right together. Maybe it was just the song and staging of into the groove this week. And the fact that you can barely see him in the fox. Hoping for better songs next time.
And was it Ulti that mentioned Kurts toothless grin??? lol, I also thought he looked strange in the video, maybe it was the bad quality of the video, or the angle, but I thought of Gollum when the camera first pans away from him before it goes into the song!!
