Time for this post ho to hit the hay. G’nite ALL!
Hi everyone. Am tired from all that partaaying. Went back into LIV after the concert for the regular club scene. Was really feeling my age especially amongst those hot young ones in there.
I love Adam as we all do but this concert didn’t have the giddy “excitement factor” that I’m used to feeling. I am always happy to see him and love the anticipation but I think the “connectivity” was missing. One uberGlambert said afterwards that this concert felt like he was just doing it to pad his pocket. He looked great, his voice was fabulous. I felt like he forgot some words and covered it up with riffs. I also think he needs new music…I actually felt a bit jaded in there. My faves are Fever and Shady so I very much enjoyed those. Although I loved how he looked my favorite is his IHeart look. He’s Eye candy 24/7 anyway.
I don’t regret going at all. We had a blast for the weekend. The Fontainebleau is really beautiful now and had great service. Got upgraded to a suite so 6 of us could share and the room was large with a very nice bathroom. The weather kind of spoiled it for some people though who came from cold places looking for sun. It was bleaky and windy/rainy most of the time. They say they’re probably going to bring him back again next year so I will go again if so and I will stay at the hotel again. It was a good deal for the hotel and concert tickets when split 4 ways. food there is expensive but pretty good and great service. We could’ve ordered pizza delivery there. Saw pizzas being delivered several times.
Someone at the Fontainebleau promised to check on the final ticket sales for me tomorrow. I’ll let you know if he comes thru for us. I’ll give more details if you want. Am tired to the bone though. Ciao.
I tried to post last night in bed from my i-pad but it kept crashing on me and I lost what I wrote, so after about five attempts I just gave up. I have been out all morning and just now have time to respond to the concert and a number of things.
First of all agathe.h.b.’s post was in response to a private email of mine where I vented about the negative comments after the concert. So be mad at me, not at her. And, sorry ron. I love you dearly, but I didn’t realize that you were joking.
I was away all day yesterday and when I finally came home (after a disastrous scrabble tournament) I watched the vids and loved them! I am not a music expert and I don’t pay attention to the missed lyrics. I just get so overwhelmed by Adam’s voice that I think am so immersed in the “forest” that I don’t notice the details of the “trees”. I was grinning from ear to ear and laughing out loud at his riffs after each song and his easy interaction with the crowd, remembering how scripted the GNT was. I loved the dance moves and he seemed to be really bringing the sexy rock vibe. I was thinking how lucky our girls were to see this new addition to the show. And then I started reading all these negative comments that made me sad and I just reacted to a friend. Of course everyone here has a right to state their opinions. I am just explaining my state of mind.
Now, to some of my thoughts. He doesn’t have new music yet and he has been so busy that he probably didn’t have time to rehearse much with the band, so the riffs were something he could add on his own, after the songs. I really appreciate the fact that his band is still together. I don’t know what the band members do when not playing with Adam. He can’t keep them on retainer and people have to make a living when gigs are few and far between. The drummers who were mentioned as being preferable (Longinue, Isaac) are off performing with their own bands. I loved Tommy’s solos, but then again, who am I to judge? And Ashley looks terrific! I really pity anyone who is playing back-up to Adam after Queen. No one is going to come out looking good in comparison.
Adam has been so busy lately expanding his multifaceted career that maybe he didn’t have time to rehearse enough with the band or add new songs. Those other aspects of his career are super important to his future and can’t be put aside. Remember, as some have already said, the majority of people attending the concert haven’t seen the Trespassing show multiple times. Adam at under 100% (which I can’t even judge) is still miles above anyone out there. I guess that what this proves is that our glittery alien may be human after all. And I love him all the more for it.
I will stop here. End of rant. You can throw stones or ban me if I have offended anyone.
Just a quick thought about this. In early November Adam appeared at the Miami “Make A Wish” fundraiser. One month after meeting a whole lot of people who care about “Make A Wish”, he re-appears in Miami to have lunch with and give a major concert moment to an Italian Glambert who is a “Make a Wish” recipient.
Its unlikely that this is a coincidence. Perhaps Miami “Make a Wish” organized this. Perhaps the timing wasn’t perfect, given Adam’s Glee schedule. Perhaps they didn’t have enough time to rehearse. Perhaps, it being a fundraiser, union rules only cover performances, not rehearsals.
I have a feeling Adam and his band did a wonderful thing this weekend. rs’s instincts are probably right.
I didn’t get that at all from watching the vids.
No stone throwing fro me rs, I agree with you.
No worries, rs. You are very articulate and you make good points. So good that I kinda agree with them too. Thanks for posting this.
. deleted my post. I give up.
Great set …. Enjoy!!!

Maybe this got lost in my long post luval
Thanks asif for that video! I’m listening to it as I work (or try to work)
Posted it above as well. It’s good to have the full concert so you get a better feel of the flow.
You’re welcome … AL.
But you are the one I’d like to thank for all the work you’ve done for us.
I blew you a kiss to thank you in the December Thread.
Sorry … that it’s only a virtual “blow a kiss”.
I’m not good at a blow job.
Well, I might as well weigh in (or is it “wade in”) too.
First, just a little general info.
Adam and band arrived late Friday, around 10:45 pm. West to East jet lag is the worst – it feels like 7:45 to you, too early to go to bed and sleep, especially if you napped on the plane, so you stay up a little, then in the morning you’re dragging because it’s 3 hours too early. They probably scheduled it this way in order to have a full Thanksgiving with their families.
And, with Adam’s schedule, probably were not able to do any serious rehearsing. But they do know the music, and they did have a prearranged setlist.
Wasn’t it just after the California concerts and the ATT one that we were saying how good and tight the band sounded? But a few months apart can have a little effect, for sure.
Now, about the venue and venue change. Outdoors, the audience is arranged in front of the stage, the stage was lower down I believe and more in the signt line of the audience, plus presumably people would have been paying more attention to the stage.
The club is great, a great DANCE and DRINK and socialize place, with banquettes arranged around a central dance floor and bars on the sides. I sat with little dutchess and the duke high on a banquette to the right side between the center floor and one of the open bars. The place is very hazy, with fog machines going. And the audience members in the bar areas were sooooo loud we could barely hear Adam and the band, even though we were quite close to the stage. Acoustics were horrible unless you were in the VIP group in the center and around the stage. Crowd noise was very loud.
Maybe the folks up in the balconies had good sound, don’t know.
Also, for the first few songs, you could barely hear Adam above the band – the sound mix was such that his voice didn’t really stand out that much. He kept looking over at the sound guy, and dutchess and I agreed that finally he started the acapella riffs after Chokehold to hear his voice loud and clear, and they did make adjustments because after that we could hear him. And he just decided to make it part of the concert, which was hilarious because some of it was quite funny (I love the one after Fever when he does that gobbledegook that we have seen him do before, so cute!)
Because the a large part of the audience was “clubbing” I feel that Adam had that reaction like San Diego, that he felt he wasn’t “reaching” them.
After Chokehold’s riffs, and the reggae songs, seemed like he got their attention. But he worked SOOOO HARD, our BB was dancing, riffing, singing his face off, throwing out those glory notes right and left, and he was adorable and sexy and gorgeous. NO ONE should say he only did it to pad his bank account, that is a disgusting statement. Rip up that person’s fan card. *virtually slaps
bitchperson*I now confess, a) I don’t like Naked Love, but the audience seemed to and b) don’t care for Music Again either, but they seemed to. And it is true, I have seen more Trespassing concerts than GNT concerts and I would like to have a few different songs like Runnin’, Take Back, Nirvana, Stay/Underneath which we in the States never got. Tweeted Brian once, going to tweet him again. I think they might have enough time before the Biloxi show, with no Glee shooting, to work something up. Hopefully.
But even so, there were probably people at LIVE who hadn’t seen these songs before live or at least more than once or twice, and they seemed to enjoy the show.
As for the band, I thought they were OK. Tommy and Ashley are pure eye candy, something you don’t often see in bands. And it was funny when Tommy aggressively went after Adam during Fever. Oh, and they DID smile – during the silly riffs and when that happened.
I was upset during the first few songs at not hearing THE VOICE – that is the most important thing to me, but after the riffs and the fix, I was OK. So many glory notes. OOL was BEAUTIFUL, the audience got quiet in time to hear that lovely lovely ending. His voice was amazing, once they got it loud enough. Just love seeing and hearing him closer up, that never gets old to me.
Can’t wait for Oklahoma.
Dear agathe.hb is a great fan, making treks to London twice and Finland to see Adam in a GNT and a WAG concert and Queen. Please come back, agathe.hb, I think many of us would love your input!
One uberGlambert said afterwards that this concert felt like he was just doing it to pad his pocket.
Let me clarify this. She said it, but she was still smiling and happy and had no regrets. Was just happy to see him. Her personal opinion. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. A couple others said he was probably just tired from jetlag and media events. Wonder if he went to New York to do more Glee filming? Someone said he had a lot of luggage.
eta I see on the Dec thread that he went back to LA in same beanie cap he arrived in.
Thank you riskylady for your very thoughtful and detailed recap. I also had got the impression that he was working his cute little ass off to get to the audience.
Thanks riskylady, very insightful….
and I shall let you in on a little secret, Naked Love is my least favourite on the album, I don’t not like it, just not as much as the others.
Are there any reviews out??

They just featured Adam at BleauLive on the local 7 news station’s Deco Drive. He did a short interview after the concert. Deco Drive usually repeats during the 10 or 11pm news so I’ll tape it and
see if I can post it somehow. Adam said he got a restful sleep that night and he could hear the ocean from his room.
Appreciate everyone’s thoughtful posts.
I noticed the lyric fail(s) on the livestream and also seemed like the people I could see were not really into it.
I just feel everyone who pays for a show deserves the best of concerts and hate to see the band and possibly Adam, unprepared.
The band could have rehearsed songs without Adam.
Adam can listen to his own songs even if just on the plane to refresh his mind on the lyrics.
There was definitely something off, This is the first time I have ever seen an Adam concert thread that it wasn’t at least 95% rave reviews. We are usually saying, “How does he do it?, He just gets better and better, Best Concert Ever….”
So after 4 years I guess we can forgive him one sort of off night.
But still the best voice ever, even if he does riffs for an hour.
As for meI really hate that damn tattoo. I swear it is all I see when I open pictures. I opened a couple and had to go back and see if he still had facial hair, cause I didn’t notice at first, LOL
lol, glambotgram – “riffs for an hour” – so funny. Probably one of the few who could get away with it.
And agree about the tat – why he’d want to put something so limiting on his body is a puzzle to me. Unless he is morphing into a different kind of performer.
Maybe I didn’t express myself well. I didn’t hear any “lyric fails” as in forgetting lyrics. We felt that the Chokehold riffs were a sort of live soundcheck, after he sang the song, so Adam could get his voice mix adjusted to stand out over the band IMHO. Constantly he was looking over at the sound guy, and then he just decided to do it after almost every song, maybe as a joke, and maybe to ensure he was still being heard.
As I said, the audience noise from the bar areas was LOUD, acoustics were not good. I know they did a sound check earlier in an empty club, so filled with people it could have been insufficient. And, the club has lots of hard surfaces like glass railings around the upper levels.
I didn’t get the feeling he or the band were unprepared, they did have a set list they were following. They probably assumed that he would do the WWRY verse in Dragon Attack as usual.
Another thing I noticed was that Adam was drinking a lot of tea/water between every single song, more than I remember from other concerts. Maybe he had a sore throat or the beginnings of a cold. He was clutching a blanket and wearing socks, two shirts and that knit beanie in his foto on the plane.
I feel it just wasn’t a good venue for a singer who is the kind who needs to be listened to, like Adam. Maybe many in the audience were hotel patrons who were just there to club, talk, drink and sort of pay attention to the music. Acoustics were fine with the thumping dance music before he started…..j/s.
Adam and the sound men – poor guy – it’s a constant battle, isn’t it. The ear thingees, too.
Remember someone’s saying that Adam’s voice poses problems because of its range, among other things.

Some nice pics – of the crowd, too.
Love Image 7 –
I don’t even know what to say here. I should be in bed, big day at work tomorrow, but, I got home late tonight, and found myself reading tons of posts, here and other places.
You know, to “relax.”
Only what I found here was not relaxing.
And I take some of the blame. I posted my honest feelings here yesterday. About flubbed lyrics, riffing to cover it, and feeling the need for a new set list.
And then it got kind of ugly. And then it got friendly and apologetic. Like we always do here.
Ron, I totally got you. I instantly saw your humor. No offense here.
Agathe, I was glad to see your name. Please come back. If you do lurk, you know that we are friendly here. No harm intended.
Cwm, luval, and everyone else who weighed in, and for those who were there, and actually echoed my interpretation, thank you , points well made.
I do appreciate all the feedback.
And what I glean from this is that we all still love our guy to death. We all still want him to be super-successful and keep making music.
After all, whatever he is wearing, whatever he does to his body, whatever he does to his hair, whoever he hangs out with, whoever is playing back up for him, wherever he goes, it’s still his VOICE that is our drug. His voice sends us into orbit and never leaves our brainwaves.
His voice keeps me coming back.
And all of you at ALL.
I am sorry if I pissed any of you off. It was most certainly not my intention.
Many of you have my personal email. Please feel free to discuss with me anything you want to, off-blog and private.
Ahh, yes, mils – love that boy, for sure.
I should probably leave well enough alone, but can’t help posting that I think there is an element of restlessness among our fandom that can result in apparent mischief.
We’re a little bored. Yes, the bits and pieces of one-off concerts and ten minutes on Glee are keeping us more or less entertained, but we want something substantial to chew on: a new album or at least some new songs to have an idea of his new direction (assuming that there is a new direction, but we aren’t even so sure about that). Suddenly a lot of posts about our least-favorite songs of the Adam canon, even posts about relative boredom with the Adam canon…
It has been a long time since a twitter party. We don’t know as much about his personal life as we used to, and there haven’t been any big interviews for a while, either.
So…there is plenty of reason for a vague malaise.
Adam doldrums.
This too shall pass.
http://youtu.be/fx4SPArdI9Q
Going through the vids up top – like this one – closeup – working hard – no wonder he slept well that night.
Actually, kradamour, we staged the whole thing to tease you out of lurkdom. Nice to see you!! Your words of wisdom are always appreciated.
Thank you riskylady and also cher and little dutchess for your recaps Much appreciated !
Riskylady, you actually confirmed everything I thought and felt after I watched the vids. I was reading comments here yesterday and wanted to know what your experience was. So sorry that you couldn’t hear Adam at first I was sure long riffs were for sound check issues. I didn’t have hearing problems on the vids and I enjoyed what I heard and saw, but on the latter part I felt he was more in.
Vocals were great, but I got the feeling maybe the audience was not responding… And Adam loves the interaction with the audience. This kind of one offs are difficult as a long concert, especially if the audience consists mostly of non-fans. Maybe people who listen to the artist they don’t know (the songs I mean) so well need more visual things to catch their attention? Dancers, lights. I noticed most of the time there was this Fontainebleau sign on the screen. But I think it’s rude to chat and talk when someone is performing. I have seen it in some previous concert vids, mostly in summer festivals with many performers.
I get very well that it was probably impossible to change the set list for this concert. But I as many of us am hungry for something new. I bet Adam is too, but if it doesn’t happen in next concerts there is probably a reason for that. Kradamour, there’s a lot of reason in what you said about restlessness here. We have got hints, but nothing for sure. Adam keeps his secrets better. I don’t know if its for personal or professional reasons or both.
I also want to thank AL for providing this place and everyone for their contributions on the conversations. Duties and tough times of life have kept me distant lately, but when I find the time it’s always interesting to come and read the comments here – whether consistent or not
This is a cool video taken by someone in front row center, who Adam invited to sing with him during Shady. Fun! Lucky gal!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWWK_HEvDns&feature=youtu.be
I wanted to thank everyone for your thoughtful perspectives. Riskylady – I especially appreciated your informative posts about the venue, crowd, and your observations. The context you provided really rounds out the picture for us!
Hi LadyNorth Good to see you here. Hope you are well.
Bleaulive was a GA venue. Gates opened just before 8pm. I don’t think we joined the line much before 740pm and we were about 40 people from the front, right riskylady? Littledutchess and the duke were a few people in front of us. That never happens at a typical Adam Lambert event. Normally, we would have had to be in line for hours first. The Uber Glamberts were all at the Meet and Greet so the line was pretty short. It started getting longer a few minutes after we got there. Then when we got into the club itself, there were a bunch of people in the front middle, and several already in the VIP area in the front of the stage, others scattered all around the place. We pretty much could choose where we wanted to sit, stand. I enjoyed not having to push, pull, fight for a spot and the stage was pretty high so no spot was bad in that club.
The problem with Adam’s music is that most of the songs are not known to many outside of the Glambert circle. The non Glamberts seemed to respond more to WWFM of course, IIHY and I saw many of them moving to Shady and Fever. They seemed to like his reggae grooves as well. Other than those, they didn’t know the songs like Naked Love and Pop That Lock. Only us Glamberts were singing along to those. Overall, his voice is always great and he looks gorgeous, so I’m pretty sure no one had any complaints. I am anxious to see what he comes up with on his new album. I am forever a fan. I just want him to get worldwide recognition for that incredible voice. I hate to see other artists with cheesy songs and mediocre voices get undeserved superstardom status.

This is the Deco Drive coverage of Adam at Bleaulive with a short interview. I am depending on Al to post the vid here since I am too dunce to do it myself. It was a real challenge just to get it on Facebook. I give props to all who do vids of Adam. So hard to keep hands steady for vids especially when such hawtness is in front of you.
” I hate to see other artists with cheesy songs and mediocre voices get undeserved superstardom status.”
Amen to that, cher.
Hehe, turquoise, and thank you for the kind comment. I have limited myself to one brief peek per day while I organize my house and my life, and there are three threads open now! And I am only using my iPad, to minimize the time I spend commenting, because typing is harder and every time I type “peep” the spelling corrector turns it into “perp”…
So have a great Adam day, perps!

Yes, he is.
Hi cher! Thanks for the link to the video. It seems that I am unable to embed the video here because Facebook does not allow me to do that. Anyone can see the video by clicking the link so that will have to suffice!
Thank you very much riskylady, cher and littledutchess for your reviews and recaps.
I’ve been waiting for your first handed experiences at this concert because you were there rather me who was watching from the stream.
When I was watching the stream, I had doubts and questioned my stanning and I blamed the poor ustream.
I’m glad I didn’t post what I thought and I also wrote down the wishing setlist I wanted to see at Biloxi and Winstar.
Anyhow … all is good now.
And I have one more question ….
Of whom the three of you filmed this EPIC video?
Common …. Confess … .. LOL
You make perps wet inside like Adam had promise.

Hi, guys, no hard feelings
Ron, nice to hear from you too
the problem with written language is that it’s more difficult to interpret without facial expressions or tone of voice….
I only meant that there is sooo much negativity about everything on the Internet, that sometimes is opressing…
will try to visit more often…
thanks for kind words cwm and the “lurker”
best regards
P.S. Adam gest more and more easy on the eyes…. seriously
Hi … agathe.hb . ~~wave~~
I’m very happy to see you back.
Please post here more often if your time permits.
This place is a lot better than many other sites out there. I lurk at other places but here is the only place I feel comfortable and accepted as a member of the Glamily. I stopped posting at mjs long time ago. Here is the only place I post.
Please ALLERS and lurkers …. come to visit, post and support our quiet little playground here. eywflyer and AL have worked hard for us to have a place to play. And we should feel safe to say anything among friends and glamily here.
Miscommunication and broken English happen!!!
WE ALL AGREE THAT ADAM IS .. HOT! HOT! HOT! .. AND WE LOVE HIM!!!
Sorry if any of you can’t see the Bleaulive interview on my Facebook, but my son comes to town this weekend and I’ll get him to take the vid off my tivo and post it then.
cher, proud of you! I tivo’d it but we couldn’t copy because now with Uverse we can’t figure out how to make our DVD burner work lol. But, you did good getting it on facebook – I was able to watch it.
asif, O.M.G. that little Kickin’ In video is a gem of hot mayhem. How did she not pass out with Adam gyrating right in front of her. Boy has rhythm all over!!!
Just a little postscript: I do feel the hotel was honoring Adam by putting him in their jewel, the famous LIV club. They probably didn’t notice any issues, or wouldn’t think there would be – just us, because we know his modus operandi.
The hotel did a very nice job with Adam, promo all around. Btw, the round floor stickers were all gone….peeled off and in good hands lol.
