If you can’t spend Thanksgiving with your immediate family, spending time with the Glamily and Adam is the next best thing (or maybe the best thing for some?!). Adam takes to the BleauLive stage around 8 PM EST and is sure to satify the hunger of his fans.

Enjoy the show!

Just catching up. What a great show.

LOL. I doubt they had much time to rehearse, Adam kept flubbing lyrics and just riffing to cover the gaps!! Not that he sounded bad, he was just off a few times. He knew it. Not off key, just off lyrics!!

He had a ball, was so loosey goosey, sexy, and having fun. Just how we love him.

Did you guys notice, during Dragon Attack, the band went into WATC, and Adam was directing them back to Dragon Attack? It’s like they really didn’t rehearse, that was a WAG arrangement, and Adam wanted to do DA without interruption.

Are there any tat pics? I’d like to see what’s new.

I just don’t like the sleeve. It’s just too much of a cliche. And the hair is too short. But, it’ll grow out to something new and fabulous. By next week. Ba dum bum!

    Think I prefer glam Adam.

Well, maybe, like mils said – it’s just under-rehearsed this time around. But I wouldn’t be in the least unhappy to see TJ go – never a fan.

  11. luval says:

I have always loved glam Adam & Glam Nation. But don’t think we’ll see it again (GN). He always wants to move on, move forward, don’t live in the past etc. But his music is always a throwback to the past. Interested to see what #3 may be like.

Yes, the tat is a cliche but that’s what he wanted…and he got it. Now please stop with more tats. Smile

Listened to all the videos and realized I missed Isaac. The drumming was exactly the same on every song. As far as practice maybe the band wanted to but Adam wasn’t available. I don’t know. I’m trying to make excuses.

  12. ultimathule says:

Agree, mils, hope he stops with the tattoos now that he’s got his “sleeve.” Find Levine’s over-done “decorations” a turn-off.

  13. ultimathule says:

I don’t mean GN, luval, with all the makeup, etc. – but how he looked at iHeart. An elegance. Don’t know what he’s aiming for with this look.

  14. luval says:

I don’t mean GN, luval, with all the makeup, etc.

I do. Smile But that’s me.Just made him stand out from every other dude around today. But the voice…that’s really what separates him. Thank goodness for that.

  15. luval says:

Iheart was the perfect look. Loved his hair, outfit, his band.lol Not sure if he had any makeup on. Maybe not.

  16. milwlovesadam says:

Yes, I agree. GN was GN. It’s the past. But, like any musician, he needs to visit his old song book for every show. It’s just what you do in concert.

That being said. i am very ready for some new music.

The only old songs I still like to hear live are Fever, Sleepwalker maybe Voodoo from FYE era. I still like Pop That Lock, Chokehold, Shady, and Runnin best from TSP. We have never heard Runnin or Take Back live. Or for that matter, Pick U Up from FYE.

Methinks it’s time to freshen up the set list.

This show was done “on the fly”, and it showed. All those breaks between songs, it’s like they needed to touch bases with each other, “what’s next?” “Oh. Okay, let’s do Chokehold.”

Gah. Maybe I/we are spoiled by our exposure to concert videos. . They have been doing one-offs for such a long time now.

They need some different songs and more rehearsal before the next show.

    IMHO

  17. ultimathule says:

WAG was a beautiful look, too.

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Iheart was the perfect look. Loved his hair, outfit, his band.lol Not sure if he had any makeup on. Maybe not.

His IHeart look was simply, hands down, the best he has ever looked on stage. He was long, lean, slim, and divinely sexy. He oozed confidence and sexuality.

And his tats were covered. FWIW.

No gloves. No nail polish. Minimal to no makeup. Everything was minimal. Except his boots!

  19. milwlovesadam says:

WAG was a beautiful look, too.

Yup. Those fringes were something? Hunh?!!!

    Nice, big, happy pic.

    His bod’s looking really good.

  22. luval says:

Yes, they do need to freshen up the set list…big time IMO. But that takes practice. Maybe there will be time if no Glee rehearsals. Not long before Biloxi & Win Star.

  23. HK fan says:

I never normally give the band a second look…or even a first look come to that. Tommy doesn’t worry me, don’t like him or dislike him. I’m no musician but he seems a very adequate guitar player, and he’s very loyal which I think means a lot. Ashley’s kind of cute, brings something different having a female bass player. I miss Issac on the drums, he was my favourite drummer, and had the best personality.Brian seems the misift to me, its never sounded as polished since he’s been the musical director, may have been OK for the poppier sounding era 2, don’t think he’ll work on the rockier sounding era 3.
Yes, definitely need a couple of new songs in there…

  24. firstimerob says:

HK I totally agree with you.
Especially regarding Brian and the drummer. I loved the past two drummers and as I have mentioned before loved Zac. His original group could imper-vise. What ever Adam was doing maybe he forgot the words whatever, they would creatively go with it and it sounded good. I am no musician but something just isn’t right and yes new songs and more practice would help.

Ok. Have been a bit reluctant to say all this so don’t be throwing tomatoes at me!! I was there and it felt tired. Yes, I’ve been priviledged to see several shows during the Tresspassing era. But it’s getting old. Several times last night I thought to myself or even said it out loud ‘we need new music’ (not necessarily brand new but introducing songs from the albums that he has not done live). What kept it from being “bad” was that in my opinion Adam seemed to feel something too—a disconnect of some sort with a lot of the audience farther back in the venue (but not that far back since that’s where the duke and I were along with some others we know and we felt we had a good view). From my spot (and perspective) he seemed to be going all out and working awfully hard to give us many amazing glory notes and many unbelievable riffs and sexy dance and stage moves and interacting with the audience that was close to the stage to make the show somewhat special amidst that dated setlist and a band that is not as good as he is (at least not right now).

  29. luval says:

So glad to get your in person take on the show little dutchess. Pretty much mirrors what we’ve been saying. Just one or two songs he hasn’t done before would have been perfect! Thank you so much for your on the scene report!

  30. ultimathule says:

Yes, thanks so much, little dutchess – appreciate your frankness.

  31. cwm says:

agathe.hb – so good to see you here! I’m so glad you stopped by!

Sorry to hear of your negative reaction to the recent posts. All opinions are welcome here, as long as they are stated respectfully. We all know everyone here loves Adam, but people do have differing opinions about his band. Always have, always will I think. TJ seems to be a particularly polarizing figure. Band stuff can get testy on twitter, where it seems to get conflated with drama about Adommy. Here, we have calm discussions about it, even if we disagree. Smile

My own personal opinion is that I think people are too hard on the band sometimes. Are they Queen level musicians? No. And I agree that they probably hadn’t had a lot of rehearsal time prior to this gig, given Adam’s schedule, but I think they sounded fine. In fact, I think it was a great show. I found the “looseness” to be relaxed and fun and playful. Most of the riffing was between songs, not ad-libbing during songs, and was led by Adam – he seemed to just want to riff, which I love to hear.

I do wish TJ would smile more and look up more and make eye contact with Adam and the audience.

I think we’re all ready for new music, but until Adam’s ready to debut his new stuff, I don’t see him making major changes to the set list for these one-offs during this between-eras period.

    JMHO

ETA: little dutchess – just saw your post. Thanks for your on-the-ground report. Smile I agree that new/different songs would be great during these shows, but for some reason I’m thinking that Adam is going to wait until he has new music before he switches up the set list.

And I agree with you that Adam sounded great – lots of great glory notes and wonderful riffs! I think that is how he is infusing energy into the show, rather than making major changes to the show itself.

  32. Ron says:

    Dear little dutchess Hug Right

Hardly tomatoes. A big bouquet to you and, my dear, Duke.

I was talking with a friend tonight about last night’s show. We only had the livestream to go by but it was, in our opinion, the same ol’, same ‘ol.

    Something’s changed. There’s a difference and I don’t understand what it is …

Perhaps some of you feel the same way and can explain it to me.

This same friend and I agreed that we watched every livestream of the GNT and NEVER lost interest for each and every show over and over again.

We watched that same show over and over again and it was wonderful and thrilling each and every time. In spite of almost always terrible audio and video. It was always an event.

Sorry to be a bad fan here, I don’t want to be a bad fan here, but last night’s show was same ‘ol, same ‘ol.

You got to see Adam little dutchess.

That’s worth the price of admission only right there!

Unless you spent $3,000.00 for your ticket.

Then, I’d kinda question the evening. Grin

Begone, before someone else drops a house on you.

  34. sparkle says:

Ron – I understand what you, little duchess, luval, HKfan, firstimerob and others are saying. I think it has to do with Adam being on Glee. There is an excitement with Glee because we know he will be performing songs we have never heard him sing before. Just imagine how exciting Fontainebleau would have been if AFL had performed MTN! I think the audience and most of us here at ALL would have been thrilled to hear him sing it live for the first time. I have no idea whether he is permitted to sing MTN or not but really any song that he hasn’t sung before would change the dynamic of the concert. Hope he adds at least one new song for Biloxi and Winstar. The other alternative would be to do a Kelly Clarkson and sing a song suggested by an audience member. We know he could sing any song and it would be fabulous!

  37. HK fan says:

sparkle…I was just commenting on the band a bit negatively and agreeing that one or 2 new songs would be good. But I agree with cwm, I’ve loved what I’ve seen of the videos so far. All the riffing seems to be between songs not during, and I love it when he does that. Thought the vocals were above and beyond, love the dance moves. I like when his shows seem more off the cuff/relaxed compared to the choreographed/scripted ones. I love the hair, and I loved the tougher biker lookSmile

  38. cwm says:

    Couple of thoughts…

Funny how perceptions of the same thing can be different for different people. I totally agree that a new/different song or two in the set list would definitely be exciting and shake things up, and I would love it, but I did not find last night’s show same ol’ same ol’ at all.

By the end of GNT, I just wanted to be assured that each show had gone well and that the audience liked it. Because the show was so scripted and choreographed, by the end of the tour, I was only watching the videos of the songs that were a little different from show to show – Fever, IIHY, the encore, his little speech before Aftermath, and maybe Sleepwalker. In contrast, these one-off shows during the Trespassing era have been much more diverse and freestyle, and I feel like we never quite know what sort of vibe or energy we’re going to get. I was truly enchanted last night watching all of cos2mwiz’s videos from start to finish because of Adam’s joyful energy, sense of playfulness, and intensity, and because of his amazing vocals and sexy dance moves. I was smiling for the whole show. I’m definitely not trying to talk any of you out of your feelings, because of course they are valid; just sharing that my reaction is different.

Also, I think it’s important to keep in mind that the vast majority of people at these concerts have not been to 5 other Trespassing-era concerts and seen the videos of every other concert during the Trespassing era. If this is their first show, what they are experiencing is new and exciting. I don’t think that we hard-core fans who have heard everything six ways to Sunday are representative of the majority of Adam’s audience.

    JMHO Smile

Being a lurker, I usually wouldn’t say anything but I think that the remarks directed at agathe.hb were uncalled for. Insinuating that someone was a witch and telling them to begone steps over the line. If you were trying to be funny, I didn’t find it so.

CWM I agree with your last post completely.

  40. turquoisewaters says:

Hi ALL friends! I pretty much agree with your analysis. I think there comes a time when a tour naturally should come to an end. GNT had 100+ shows, but they were all within 9 months (I think). Trespassing, which was never really choreographed and staged as a tour, has been going on for 1 1/2 years now, with some longer breaks, and there must be some fatigue from the audience as well as Adam and the band. He would probably rather sing new material himself. But he is a trooper and puts on the best show he can.
But yeah, I’d say let him sit back and finish that third album of his. From what I understand, artists usually don’t tour continuously and neither do they put out new stuff continuously. That’s just not how it works. They take breaks. Sometimes very long breaks. He probably wants to keep his crazy fans happy, but you just can’t force some things.
That said, I’m still sitting here enjoying videos, because he is just adorbs and I like to catch a glimpse of that smile whenever I can.
Thanks for your review, little dutchess.

  41. cwm says:

Thank you, apal123, for what you said. I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out how to express my concern about what was said to agathe.hb. I don’t think that what agathe said was particularly offensive or hurtful – I believe she was just expressing general chagrin at the critical tone of the posts she was reading. I am concerned that it hurts our community here at ALL when an Adam fan is insulted and told that they aren’t welcome here, especially one who used to be a regular part of this community who we haven’t seen in a long time. Rather than chasing her away, I would love to see agathe come here more, so that she can see the range of discussions we have, the depth of love for Adam that we have here, and how we can agree to disagree about the particulars.

If there were ever a troll who came here just to stir up trouble and cause hurt feelings, I would feel differently, but agathe.hb is no troll. I met her at the Queen shows in London and she is a lovely person.
