London recap
Riskylady, riskyhubby, rs, HKFan and I got to the Hammersmith at 4 PM to pick up our tickets from will call. We met up with kinky and a friend of LadyNorth’s and had a long leisurely dinner at a nearby pub. LadyNorth’s friend sat behind Sauli on the plane and kept talking about how gorgeous he was in person. Perfect profile, beautiful long eye lashes, etc. We were hoping for our own Sauli sighting and, boy, did we ever get it. rs and I had seats on the third row of the balcony on the aisle. We spotted Sauli on the far side of the balcony. He then made his way across the row and sat in the second row aisle seat across from us. He really is a beautiful man. It was downright distracting at times to be sitting so close to him. He was wearing a hat so we didn’t get to see his hair. He did look our way shortly after he sat down and saw us looking at him. We both gave him a big smile and got a beautiful smile in return. Sauli was with his two friends from Finland. They talked a lot and got up twice to get drinks during Adam’s set. But there were times when they seemed to be enjoying the show.
The concert itself was fabulous. The GA crowd on the floor was wild. Adam sounded great. He was on his good behavior, probably out of respect for his “special guests”, Brian, Roger & Boy George. He more than made up for it though with his antics in Manchester! We were able to spot Roger in the first row of the balcony, He has a bushy beard again. I’m really happy that the three of them were there for Adam’s show. I know it meant a lot to him. After the concert we went to another pub with kinky and some of her friends. It was a very fun night. Our next show is in Helsinki where we will be joined by adamized and LadyNorth.

mmm222 Sounds like you really lived it up! What a wonderful concert to see live. So much was happening all around you at this concert. Your gang sure knows your way around London etc.
So many here, going to Europe may be partially because of Adam. Making the most of the trip, and seeing the sights is a grand way to see the world.
So thrilled for you & your opportunity to travel abroad. Spending time with gang from here, is priceless.

luval– The merchandise booth was there and was totally mobbed before and after the show. They were even selling the samples off the wall.
From the way Sauli was acting, I think he and Adam are friends with benefits at most. He has moved back to Finland. LadyNorth’s friend also has the same impression from what she’s heard in Finland.
Hi luval…..the merch booth was so crowded, I didn,t even manage to get a programme, waited for about 15 minutes after the show but still couldn’t get close so gave up.
Thanks for the recap mmm222….. Now I don’t need to do one….it was a great 2 days, lovely meeting up with everyone. I left the dinner a bit earlier than the others to go and join the line as I was GA….through choice, I was offered a seated ticket but chose to stand..a decision my back and legs didn’t forgive me for by 11pm!!! I got in the queue at 6.10pm, there were already several hundred in the queue by then. Spent the next hour chatting to the lady with 2 grown up daughters next to me, and a couple of gay guys the other side. I was about a 3rd of the way back in the hall, could have got quite a bit closer but chose to stay just at the point where the ground starts to rise so I had a pretty clear view over the top of people’s heads. The audience was very diverse, lots of people in their 20’s, lots of gay couples, some older peeps. There was one guy next to me, on his own, never spoke to anyone, unlikely looking fan, very large, wearing an anorak, but knew every word when Adam started….a couple behind me were seeing him for the first time.
Lawson were good, I have a couple of their songs on my iPod. They seemed like really nice lads, and very excited to be there. We’re very complementary about Adam.
Adam was just amazing, from the very first note. He just gets better and better, he is so comforTable on that stage. Loved the opening sections, wtts was a high lit for me, loved it very atmospheric with the smoke and red lighting. Who am I kidding, all of them were highlights. The talk was perfect, got lots of yells of agreement….I was holding out a tiny hope that he would appear in the pink suit….loved that suit….the last section, (the tie dye looks fantastic on him), was just fantastic.,the songs, the dancing, the energy, the sheer joy and fun he was having. I had a grin on my face the whole time.
Even though it lasted 1hr 40 mins, it just sped by….
Well worth flying 6000 miles for!!!!!
My back and legs were aching so much by the time we got to the bar at 11.30…
Really enjoyed the food tour the next day, it was a part of London I didn,t know….and turned out it was my daughters old stomping ground….she knew some of the places we went into. The bread and butter pudding in The English Restaurant was to die for. The tour guide Harry was a real live wire, and it was nice chatting to the other couples.
Wicked was brilliant, I really didn’t know the story, only the few clips of Adam I’d seen, and the song defying gravity on Glee. But it was great, the woman playing the green one was amazing, a real stand out. When fiero cam on in those tight jodhpurs I just kept thinking of Adam in them. I almost couldn’t imagine him in that role now though. He has come so far.

I had my little camera, but for reason it would only let me take 50 pics…again won’t know till I get home what they’re like. Might have to ‘borrow’ rs’s!
Everything that Mmm222 and HK fan said. Just another tidbit; when we went to pick up the tickets I was chatting with one of the security guys who let us in through a shorter path. Then when we came back after dinner, the line was very long and around the corner. I found him again to ask about the balcony vs the stalls line (it was the same one) but he told me to gather my friends and he let us right in, no waiting in line. So it pays to be nice to security, lol.

Thanks so much for the fab recaps, mmm222, HK Fan, and rs. I’m soooo happy for you all that you were there for such an epic show. It made my heart burst with pride and happiness for Adam that Brian, Roger, and Boy George were there to support him, and that Sauli came as well to hang out with him for a bit.
