Adam wraps up his two show mini-tour of South Africa with a concert at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg. The opening act is expected onstage at 8 PM SAST, with Adam expected to take the stage for a 90 minute set beginning at 9 PM SAST (2 PM EST, 11 AM PST).

As far as I can tell from previous shows, may be right about the “flow.” Couldn’t care less about FYE or BTIKM. Haven’t heard back-up vocalists at this show, so don’t know.

aely, what I think is that risky lady and a few more people here are doing a happy dance. Good to hear a critic weigh in on the sometimes over-powering sound of the back-up singers.
As far as the costume concerns – this is nothing that can’t be fixed by bringing Sauli on tour to help him in and out of his clothes. I imagine Sauli is pretty good at the former.
Lastly, we can’t have all the songs we want. I love FYE but it is so emblematic of the last tour (in which he didn’t sing it either.) Maybe next time around it will graduate to the golden oldies section. For my money, IIHY, WWFM and Fever are better choices at the moment. And BTIKM? It’s the only song on Trespassing which is “meh” for the majority of fans ergo…
Bad “flow” can be managed. Simply have the dancers and singers be more professional in what they do.
I myself loved the dance interlude and band interlude of GN.

It’ll get better. Need Brooke and if not Sasha, because she’s kinda busy with Madonna, then someone of her caliber. I say, ditch Johnny and bring back Taylor.
I figure at this point the lighting, images and choreography are still in the incipient stages. Adam is a perfectionist and he’s not going to drop any balls on this project. About 6 months ago Brooke indicated an interest in being involved in Adam’s show – I think she called him boss man. She did a great job on the old show and, if she’s not available, Adam knows a lot of choreographers and dancers.

In no way am I not happy! I have been sitting here reading through 3,000+ tweets sending so much love Adam’s way and grinning like a crazy person. (not doing the work I should…ha) I am always curious and enjoy hearing others thoughts on constructive criticism when it is said to be helpful. I didn’t mean anything negative or take anything away from by all accounts an amazing show.

Well I’m not Adam but, serendipitously, my 6:06 post mentioned balls, too, mils. “Adam’s not going to drop any balls”… I think he’s pretty adept with balls. Wonder what got me thinking of that word in the first place?
The only thing better than seeing that signature pose on video is seeing it live 5-10 feet in front of your face.

The girls still are off in Underneath and I really miss the Big, “Look at Me, Do you Seeeee” towards the end of it. But with that being said, AYGGMY and TSP look awesome. There are going to be some major good gifs from this concert.

I don’t think he forgot words to Underneath either, he was just introducing extra “pauses” between the verses, to stretch it out, slow it down, or rest his voice.
Also, regarding that editor’s comments:
– little must he/she know that Adam rarely sings FYE or BTIKM live anymore. It is what it is.
– In his comment about the divas, I wonder if he’s saying that the ladies actually sang a whole song by themselves while Adam changed costumes (after Pop That Lock? Kickin’ In?) and he/she didn’t like hearing them without Adam…
– I agree with him/her that the costume changes are a little long and need to be sped up. I imagine that Adam is moving as fast as he can back there, though, and it’s fun to imagine what it must look like to see him scrambling to change. Two solutions: (1) someone backstage to help Adam in and out of his clothes (me! me! or ok, Sauli if you insist), and (2) make sure that what is happening on stage is topnotch music and dancing to keep the flow going and distract people from wondering where Adam is.
Something tells me the happiest thing on that stage was Tommy’s bass….or Ashley’s neck.

I think people would be happier with recorded Adam, with dancers, for the costume changes they could play FYI, Runnin Take Back, Map, Music Again, or some of the other songs he is not singing live. It would keep things flowing, would still be Adam’s music. The band could play along.

I wasn’t thinking that you were unhappy with Adam – I was actually teasing risky lady, who risked the wrath of Brian to provide some feedback on the ladies over-powering vocals. I figured she would be relieved to hear that someone else had put it out there for Adam’s consideration.
I found the critic’s comments very interesting since they addressed a couple of things that have been commented on here, so thank-you so much for bringing them.

I loved the way Tommy pushed Adam as he got up, too. It was done to give himself a boost but it had a “Get outta here, I’m workin'” feel to it. Lolsy. I must say, his guitar-playing is noticeably stepping up. A whole tour will do him wonders.
