Adam joins Nile Rodgers and guests for another charity event: AFTEE at Martha Clara Vineyards. And with Avicii as the “secret super-headliner” we may hear “Lay Me Down” performed live for the first time. The concert is from 7 PM – 10 PM ET but it is unknown when Adam will appear or how many songs he will perform. We’ll enjoy whatever we get!

    I love this entire set. Chic is a class act. An effortlessness, smoothness and sophistication that can only come from years of playing together. Everyone in the groove. The back-up singers blended beautifully. Let’s Dance/Trespassing/Shady. Oh, heck, they were all good.

    LadyNorth, I read something somewhere yesterday, but I can’t for the life of me remember where, that said when Avicii performs with recorded music he is in control, adjusting various elements while he is “performing” so that it doesn’t sound quite the same each time. If Adam and Nile (or any other artists) performed live, then Avicii would just be like the tech guy in the background adjusting the sound for the performers.

    I really love the song Lay Me Down. Yet a taped performance of LMD is so anticlimactic after a live performance of Adam. Wish he had sung along to some parts, because we know how he can blow live.

    I am sitting here watching these videos with the biggest grin on my face. Nile Rodgers and Chic are such a class act and compliment Adam so well. It’s such a pleasure to watch them interact and perform together again, especially after seeing them live in NYC with Krads, adamized and nkd last winter.
