Adam hosts the 2012 VH1 Divas event from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This show is a benefit event for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. The show airs live tonight at 6 PM PST (9 PM EST) in the United States on VH1 (see world clocks below for Red Carpet and show times in your area). Adam will be performing at least a couple of songs in addition to his hosting duties, we know that one of them will be a Madonna song. Rumor has it (from interpretation of rehearsal photos) that it will be “Vogue”. A “red shoes” reference in a tweet from @Wildaboutmusic seem to suggest that Adam will also perform David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”.
Update: Adam did indeed perform “Let’s Dance” to open the show. The Madonna song turned out to be “Ray of Light”. Adam (along with Kelly Rowland and Kerri Hilson) also performed “Hot Stuff” in a tribute to Donna Summer.
According to an insider tweet (see below) “Adam will sing more than any host in VH1 Divas history”, so there may a surprise or two in store for us as well!

Not watching it on a TV so wasn’t worried about the vocals but it sounds as though people watching it on TV thought he had a wobbly start.
More focussed on his MC’ing tonight. Everone KNOWS Adam can sing. The fact that he did so well on the presenting is actually more important.

Battery dying. From here he was great, he went over very well from what I see and hear. I think sometimes we expect to much because he does have such a fantastic voice – everyone should be happy. He did himself proud.

His voice sounded better in the fan videos from the radio station the other night. Almost didn’t recognize his voice in spots tonight – sounded thin and weak in spots. Just me?

, 6.30am here. Well actually I woke up 4.10 to watch the show, missed the beginning but just watched it from the vid above. As a whole, I think it was a great show! Adam did fabulous 
But I was expecting more hosting though… I noticed something strange at the beginning of the Ray of light but wasn’t sure because I am not familiar with that song. But later on song, vocals were killing! Many good acts, Jordin was great (haven’t seen her after Idol), I enjoyed Rebel Yell, nostalgic Billy Idol 
I should see and here the whole thing again with a better picture/sound but how lovely that some peeps did the stream.

That second vid of bloopers, mils, is funnier than the one that was on the show. Probably because is was more natural. So great to see Paula.

The first concert he ever went to was to see Paula. He could never have dreamed sitting in the audience then that one day he’d be in a TV skit with her.
So I set my alarm clock for 4:00 am and brought my i-pad to bed with me, but I couldn’t get the stream. It said it was locked even though I used the password. Now I got up early (before have to go to sculpture and I saw the vids posted above. I loved the opening skit! I could hardly hear him on Lets Dance. He lost the sexiness of when he performed it on the Idols tour. And he almost tripped TWICE when walking sown the stairs ! He was wearing heals rather than the medges and I guess he isn’t used to them. I wished he had more interaction with the girls, rather than each one singing separately. What Madonna song did he do? How were his other solos? I want to see the whole thing! I can’t get an impression from these bits.
So was the overall impression that he was fabulous? Did he make a good impression on non’fans?
That ROL is just weird even on the better speakers. WTH happened?

I have a feeling he wasn’t hearing things right in his ear pieces. And, he didn’t seem to have his mic turned up loud enough. I noticed a couple of other times with other performers they had mic problems.
Also, his intro was off in the sound department.
But, when you listen to the VH1 link just posted by jlurks ( thank you ) he sounds better.
For me the highlights were the comedy routines. I keep watching them all over and over.
