Adam flowered in May with appearances on Idol and Ellen and doing several media interviews to promote his “New Eyes” single. With an upcoming concert on GMA at the end of this month, fans will finally be able to see Adam live performing his own music before he heads out with Queen for their Rhapsody tour.

Think if Adam is serious about playing Elvis…he needs to shave the beard and go back to dark hair, to give him the Elvis look…at the moment its hard to picture him playing that role, the beard ages him too much!!

One episode on the other night had Emmett wearing a cream colored cap identical to the one in an old pic of Adam.
I just meant that because the beard ages him (ages everyone by about 10 years)…producers might think, oh no point in auditioning him, he’s too old…that maybe they won’t look past the superficials to see if he could do it…
To me this is the picture where he looks most like Elvis. But its 10 years old. From the day after AMA’s at CBS Morning show.

I looked this up. Elvis was 33 when he did the 1968 comeback, black leather jacket show. He looked great. Adam looks great at 37 and could easily pass for 25 at times. I can’t remember what he looks like without the facial hair!

Wish I could get this show on my cable service but I can’t find it.
I really have no interest in seeing Adam impersonate Elvis in a biopic. Seems to me like it would be a minefield and not good to be impersonating an icon while reiterating that you’re not impersonating another icon. Better to be compared.
I would love to see him in a movie though, just playing a role.
And I love hearing him sing Elvis’s songs, but HIS way, sooo good.
I just hope he was just being his cheeky self.
Love the comparisons to Elvis, Freddie, Prince, George Michael, but prefer him being Adam.

This was my favorite opening ever.
As someone else said…there have been many biopics of Elvis. Kurt Russell playing Elvis was the best one IMO. Maybe with Tom Hanks involvement they think it will be a hit. But really, IMO there have been so many that I can’t imagine another one being successful even with Hanks. Unless they are betting that younger people today may have not seen them. But Elvis’s core base is huge so who knows. Maybe trying to jump on the rocker biopic movie bandwagon while it’s hot.
