luval this is a Dutch band from the Netherlands. It was on our radio station 3fm today. Kicking GT back up to #5 in iTunes again after dropping a bit to #8!
It has been a really hard day – car trouble, ugh- and I was just now able to see Ron’s post – and TLKC’s description of the stealth berting this morning – hooray for Toronto-Berts! I am so very delighted for you, Ron especially, what a treasure your ‘enhanced’ poster is!
And I agree with the post that Adam likes when these little ambushes are successful, as long as they are respectful, of course.
Is anyone doing Balto/Wash tomorrow? I haven’t tried, too much going on here now and the weather is unbearable. I love these little promo events, though, and hope that we will be represented!
Love to hear all the stories of the Canadian crew here that got to meet Adam!
Adam seems such a nice person to pay so much time to his fans. I also loved what he said in that ET Canada interview about the fans. That they were the fuel to keep him going.

I think those numbers come from me. I’ve been keeping track of the chart positions of Ghost Town in Spotify and because of that was able to assign at least 37% of the streams of GT to just a couple of countries. Since the rest of the world also was streaming, the US couldn’t have done more than 30-35%.

The update today also gave that GT still isn’t on the US chart. So with an update of 432,396 for GT the US streamed less than 167k (less than 38% of total streams). Over 44% of the total streams were done by 6 countries (The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Poland and Malaysia).
GT did make it to the US Viral chart again though today. So going up again!!

Hi Skaschep! Sorry about that. I was just scanning through the numbers thread for a bit of background on the ways in which tomorrow’s BB might change from today’s HDD chart and didn’t pay attention to who was posting what. I have never been in the numbers thread before but Q3 was telling everyone in the common thread to keep the numbers where they belong.
Thanks for the information and I will pay a bit more attention. (FYI – I only go there during promo and sales periods and that is because the info is so good.)

You know what ulti? Just looking at the KISS photo you posted, it appears that Glamberts in Toronto did exactly what we were supposed to do this morning. ChumFM is a HAC station with older listeners and demographics. That’s where we went.
KISS is for young fans and, by the looks of that photo, they all showed up at the station that they were supposed to.
Hi Kradamour! I think I’m the only one thinking of doing DC/Baltimore tomorrow. Have been listening to 94.7 Fresh FM all day for the chance to call in for the DC Lottery event. I had heard everything other than AL’s promo, so I called the station and got through at 1 pm. The woman answering the phone (might have been the DJ) said that the call-in would be at 1:20. I called in on 2 phones – no luck. Not sure when the next call-in is – I’ve tried calling a couple of times – no luck getting through. Getting discouraged!

THANK-YOU for letting me know, Jlurksacto. I was wondering why there had been no follow-up in the news. I guess the AG’s request was being reviewed in private.
To be honest with you I was as upset by the editorials as I was by the proposal itself. Some so-called serious journalists argued that pre-clearing of nutty proposals had never happened before and shouldn’t happen now because it would be in violation of the democratic process.
They missed the point. This proposal wasn’t nutty; it was murderous.
The courts have spoken but we will have to wait and see if the guy who submitted it appeals the decision. #FINGERSCROSSED that this is the end of it.
On the bright side: SCOTUS has only 3 days more to issue decisions and marriage equality should be a reality by next Thursday at the latest. They will issue some decisions tomorrow, Monday and next Thursday, if needed.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if they ruled tomorrow, when Adam is in DC?

Seriously, TOH should be the next single but my favourites change daily. Today my favourite song is The Light BUT I played Shame at least a dozen times in the subway on the way home from Ron’s place. It’s my subway song. I mean to listen to the whole CD and somehow when I get to Shame my finger hits the repeat song button.)
I know a bonus song and can’t be a single. Also, it’s a boy band song but it’s so catchy. I’ll get over it…. or I’ll get sick of it.

sparkle, go, just go, I remember a couple of summers ago, Adam was coming to a radio station in Chicago, and the only way in for a private performance was to win tickets, so my Chicago Glambert friend and I gave up on it, and didn’t go, and it turned out that they ended up letting people in who didn’t win tickets but just showed up. Adam didn’t let any fans be disappointed. We should have gone, because he posed with everyone, answered fan questions, and gave a memorable acoustic performance of many songs. I still regret not going, it would have soooo easy to get there. Oh well.

Amazon doesn’t count for sales?? WTF??? I ordered 6 CD’s from them. I bought 3 at Best Buy, and intend to go back for more. I’m gifting to all my workberts, who just stream and don’t pay for music. Love ’em, but, they NEED hard copies!!
Current faves: After Hours, it’s so trippy and evocative and moody, love it. And The Light. And: Original High . Gah. I play the CD so loud and drive to and from work, just in bliss. In a different way than with TSP. Trespasssing made me happy and dancy, but TOH brings out different emotions in me. Then Lucy hits my eardrums and makes me RAWK and drive. Have to be careful with Lucy. Might get a speeding ticket!

Darn that James Taylor. I used to love him back in the day, I mean, who didn’t? I saw him live several times, so chill, my most memorable concert of his was at our Summerfest in the late eighties, at an open air stage, sitting on benches in the rain, wearing Hefty garbage bags and covered in mud!! Back then Summerfest was quite different than the major music festival it has become, they seemed to book all the big acts even back then, but the grounds left a little something to be desired!

Anyway, I remember singing and swaying and being soaked to the bone and just feeling the James Taylor vibes.
If Adam has to be number 2 or 3 because good old JT put out an album, it takes some of the sting out of not being number one away. At least it’s to a legend, not to a scumbag like Chris Brown or something. IMHO
