After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    Catching up…school is finally out and I just read the NY recaps with great interest, a little bit of jealousy, and a big measure of gratitude – I love how our fandom is so generous about sharing and helping us to live vicariously!

    The SNOL askmeanything video was so very wonderful…Adam took the questions seriously, answered them with gravity, and basically just sat and chatted with us.

    Tonight I went to a movie from 1940-ish, “Strange Cargo” with Joan Crawford and Clark Gable – he was an escaping prisoner from a French penal colony in Guyana, and pretty scruffy in parts – and I suddenly noticed Adam’s resemblance to him in many of the shots. It was quite striking.

    So…DC on Thursday. What an odd slot to throw in between Toronto and return to NYC! Looks like they took a look at the calendar, saw a hole, and threw a dart at the East Coast.
    But Adam’s travels almost never make a lot of sense geographically, they evolve without starting with a master plan. Hard on him…

    Interesting that he is beginning to be more forthright with his relations with RCA. He must feel very comfortable with his Warner connection to be willing to do that. Makes me happy.

    Yesterday I clicked on the list of Fla stations playing GT and was shocked to see Hits 97.3 gone and in its place Y100, Miami’s biggest Top40 station. Checked this morning and it’s true!! On their playlist at about #30!
    ETA: it is an iHeart station – I think the word went out! YAY!

    Yes, and I plan to be there by 6:30am (UGH!) I bought a huge butterfly net to very discreetly scoop him up in as he steps out of his car. I hope he’ll take it good-naturedly and not have me thrown in jail. Laugh

    TLKC & Co. weren’t going to take a chance that the taping for the Marilyn Denis Show would be this morning and went to CHUM VERY early just in case. So glad I stayed home because it IS tomorrow morning. She just phoned to let me know that they’ve moved on to the Entertainment Tonight Canada studios for the 12noon taping of the show. There’s only one way in, one drive-way, and they’re standing in it. I hope they don’t hurt themselves when they all jump on the car. Laugh

    Seriously, if all works out tomorrow and we are able to see him, I’m going to ask Adam to sign this poster that MLG made for me of he and I shaking hands three years ago at the “Trespassing” signing:

    I still can’t believe that I have my own MLG poster after AL and TLKC put their heads together and approached her with the idea.

    All this time later and I’ve put off framing it in case there was ever an opportunity for Adam to sign it never thinking that it would really happen.

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

    TLKC and Co. just had a 5 MINUTE conversation with Adam on his way out of the studio!!

    He asked them which songs they liked the best on TOH. They all got his autograph on the CD and he did something VERY, VERY special that I can’t mention because it’s a surprise and it would give it away.

    You should have heard TLKC‘s voice!! She was ecstatic! I’m so happy for all of them.

    A private 5 minute audience with Adam! They had him all to themselves because no other fans were there. TLKC said that Adam didn’t want to leave but his handler said that they were running late.
