After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    I’m home from NYC. I thought I’d do a recap last night, but was way too tired. We packed so many activities into our 3 days in the city. It was fabulous! I took my good camera with me and got a beautiful photo of Adam at B&N and some nice photos at the GMA show. I spent this morning editing them and will have to figure out the best way to share some of them with you. Adam has never looked better! It was such a thrill to be that close to him again. I enjoyed luval’s great recap. I’ll be back later today with more details about the show and the trip in my recap.

    I enthusiastically agree with TLKC about Shame. Fans that did not buy the deluxe album are missing out on a great song. In fact it is my favorite. It is more upbeat, and when he sings the chorus and repeats Shame over and over, it is so catchy I can’t get it out of my mind. With this song I can see him moving around the stage a lot doing some famous Adam moves. I am not sure if he performs bonus track songs on tour, but this one really deserves to be there in my opinion.

    Every year I go to a get together with my high school girlfriends in the SF area. This year a few mentioned Adam unlike ever before. One friend saw Adam on my face book says I see you like Adam Lambert I answered “no, I love him”. She laughed and admits she does too. That is a first for me.

    My grandchildren twins live in the area also, one is a women’s assistant basket ball coach for a university there. She greets me with I love Ghost town and so do my players they have downloaded it and are playing it doing practice. Wow, that is another first for me. I can’t get enough of this album love every song. The one I play on repeat is So I said it. His voice omg.

    I am having trouble with Spotify it just shuts off and I can’t get it back on. Guess my problem is I am playing songs not playlist will work on that.

    I guess I’m lucky, have no problems with Spotify. I just set it on TOH album and tell it to play straight through, not shuffle. It interrupts with ads, then goes right back to playing the songs.

    GT vid has passed 6 million, Underground over 900k, ALN over 500k, EITN still in the 300k’s, TOH song over 200k. I think a lot of people have turned to the streaming now that the whole album is on.

    LOOOVED the live performance of Underground, unbelievably hot, and ALN – my God how his voice shimmers on that song. Also, love TOH. I think next single will be either TOH (proud papa Adam’s fave probably) or ALN. Still loving GT tho, also granddaughter’s fave. THIS IS SOOOOOO FUN!!

    Anyone know about vH1? Probably fell off the countdown. There was so much else going on this past week.

    Haven’t been able to catch up this weekend, I have been so sick since Friday, but wanted to check how Adam did on Finnish charts. TOH debuted #4. I don’t think streaming counts here, only sales. Muse was #1 for second week in a row, the rest of TOP10 all Finnish names.

    #8 in UK is good news Smile!

    I’m happy for ALLers who had obviously great time in NY!

    TLKC was downtown this afternoon and went back to the HMV where she and I bought TOH last week.

    She took this photo today of the stall where Adam’s CD occupies the top two rows. You can also see that James Taylor is directly below.

    What I forgot to mention last week is the very nice placard advertising the CD above the top shelf.

    I think that it’s a good indication of how supportive WarnerBrothers is for TOH.

    Ellessay, I feel your pain, though I’d go with your husband’s suspicion on the pics; the music is just so great!

    And, Sparkle, wow! We’re nowhere close to having a real discussion on Adam’s music and career. My husband is such a sweetie, but his taste in music and my own have never coincided. He is trying, however, and actually loves to go with me to concerts with Adam in them – plus he does remember them.

    Lots of father’s day stuff today with the family coming over, and my husband right away put on (one of) my new albums so everybody could hear. My granddaughter then told me one of her friends is a hopeless fan, because she loves his hair. Trying not to be overexcited about this unexpected news, I said, well, he does have a lot of it. Then we were off to other topics. But still…at least the 11 year olds are coming around, so I see some net gain here!

    Wonderful recap, Luval; you know what’s cool is making that Japanese grad student feel welcome. Glamberts are the best.
