I’m such a post-ho tonight, but, I am in awe of that stunning GT video from London. It is a visual masterpiece. Adam is so fiercely sensual in that it takes my breath away.
Did he ever have one minute in London that he wasn’t on camera or being interviewed? Man, WBR kept him super busy.
Muwahahaha. No complaints here. Just gives us many many hours of Adam.

Well, today was interesting: Went to the annual “give back” concert put on by the company I work for at S.F.’s AT&T Park, and saw Jason Derulo, Imagine Dragons, and Katy Perry doing the corporate thing. Felt that Jason D. was hampered by a poor mix – but maybe most of my disinterest is because I’m not into his music. Imagine Dragons benefited from great dynamics sonically, and was the most entertaining, I thought.
But here’s the point: Katy, as the headliner, is a very visual artist; had lots of dancers, back up singers (doing some of the vocal heavy lifting, I might add), plus the dolphins are part of the act now. Patterns and stage lighting/ effects sort of got lost as she had to perform in daylight, and the lip-syncing was distracting sometimes. Still, I have a soft spot for Katy. But during her set my husband leaned over and said, “Sure makes me appreciate the Paso Robles mid state fair where we saw Adam’s show a few years back.” This was pretty major, as he has never, of his own volition, volunteered a compliment for Adam’s inherent talent, and the work ethic it takes to realize this talent. He may have been influenced by my oldest son who said he watched a few interviews and some Queen performances, online. His take was that Adam is a very nice person, and an amazing singer.
This made me happy, and I think we have a clear path with some baby steps taken!

My husband is a bit jealous of my affection for Adam, so I try not to indulge when he is around. (Which means I have a lot of stuff to catch up on.
We tend to listen to music during our computer time, so I thought I’d play the new album. I didn’t even tell him who the singer was. Granted, we play a lot of oldies so we can sing along, but not always. We didn’t make it past the third song before he asked if there was something else we could listen to. @@
I don’t know if its the music or the fact that he’s always catching me looking at pictures on the computer.

I noticed that there were lots of men of all ages at the GMA performance.I think that Adam’s new “natural” image, combined with his touring with Queen and his evolved sound, has all worked in his favor, especially with men. My husband and son are much more accepting of my passion for AL. Example – today, we were taking a car trip and hubby actually asked about TOH and we played it on the way down, with him asking a lot of questions about it. It was so great to hear the whole album on an excellent stereo system and discuss which songs Adam cowrote and which sounded like him and which didn’t, Max Martin, etc. He must have enjoyed it because he played it on the way back. Told him when I get the Australian CD, he can keep that one in his car!

You’d be surprised at some of the Idol fans who still carry a burn over 2008. A very moderate MJ poster made a really nasty comment on one of the Sun QAL reviews using her WordPress ID. When I indicated that I recognized her, she quickly changed her ID to anonymous.
Just listening to the iHeart Q&A again. Adam really wasn’t happy about the “next single” question, was he? He also said that it would be “one he likes”. It’s pretty clear that he had little or no say on the singles choices from Trespassing. He probably negotiated with WB for complete control on this issue.
As challenging (un-catchy?) as GT appeared to be at first it seems to have been a very good choice – it grows on you, it’s charting nicely and it is so different from everything else on the charts that he is standing out.
The next song? I still think ALN because it’s second on the CD sticker but perhaps, like us, he is loving a new song every day and will change his mind.
spotify sucks!!! Tried to play the album. Skips over Ghost Town, Goes to TOH. Started it over several times. Went out for a run, thought the whole album would continue playing but it never went any further than TOH.

Just watched SNL – Adam is such a natural conversationalist. A lot of people can’t carry off that one-sided presentation. He always hits it out of the park.

I think TOH will definitely be the next single. It’s number 2 on the album and talks about summertime. He’s already started performing it. When it is released in Julgust, it will renew interest in the album since it’s the same name. Just imho!

Ok…here I go
Day One
Had a challenging ride to New York. What was supposed to be a 4 hr trip turned into over 5 with delays & traffic.Made it there about 11:30am. I had picked a parking garage close to B & N and the hotel so I ran over to B&N dragging my luggage & Queen tote. Bought my 2 CD’s & got in line. Was at the very end for a few minutes.Adam was late…about 20 minutes so signing started closer to 1pm. Line wound around & around & around the rows of books! nkd spotted me across the books & came over to say hello.Then the excitement of him arriving. Suited men opening up an “aisle” for him to walk. Didn’t expect he’d go right in front of me. Wow! So tall & handsome, wearing a black jacket, smiling…the usual gorgeous man.
Line went very very quickly.The staff knew how to run things.A woman & her grown son in front of me were so excited.She was just so giddy…had never seen him in person (in fact during the course of the trip, several peeps had never seen him live). Guy behind me was all alone. A grad student from Japan, only been here 3 months but knew & loved Adam. Strangers in line are just the greatest to talk to!
Keeping in mind that it went soooo fast when it was my turn at the table (he had his jacket off by then…the tats!), he says “Hi, how are you”. I said “Yeah, me & my luggage are just fine, thank you”. Everyone laughed. He then says to me “oh, did you just fly in from somewhere?”. I said “well, I just drove 5 hrs in from upstate New York”. He was signing as he was talking and staff were moving me on. So it just ending with “well, thanks for coming”.
It was over so fast. Adamized & mmm222’s train was late & they were given standby bracelets but they were able to meet him & get signed cd’s. I heard later that they limited to 500 bracelets but Adam said to the staff that he wanted to sign for anyone that came.
Also another lady (very stylish) in my line was saying she was there to get her 5yr old grandson a signed copy.As we are talking someone asked where her bracelet was. She didn’t know anything about a bracelet or that she had to buy the CD at this store.We told her not to worry that we were pretty sure there wouldn’t be a problem but she went back to the counter & we didn’t see her again for a long time.All of a sudden she appears and says “the staff told Adam about this & he had her to go the table anyway to get the autograph”. She was almost crying at what a wonderful gesture this was.
Day two
Got to Central Park about 5:30am and there were already two long lines. Jumped out of the cab & in line. Shortly after we got there nkd & her daughter arrived. (we were in different hotels). So the wait began in the dark.Again met people who had never seen him in person, didn’t watch GMA but read about it in the paper. Met lovely Linda L and her friend. Linda is a great devoted fan, gave her ALL website & hope she lurks or signs in. She’s only on 24/7. Her friend had never seen Adam before. We actually ran into them after the performance & she says “I’m not an Adam virgin anymore!”…loved the show.
What can I say about the show. Loved everything about it. We were pretty close to the front. Split up a bit. I looked at every video but could not see us. Loved the sound check!!! I don’t think this was posted (forgive me if it was), but it’s the crowd singing Ghost town at rehearsal before Adam came on stage!

Adam was spectacular! The crowd was loud! And like B&N sooooo diverse of every type of person. I can’t say enough about the enthusiasm. Way over the top. HE MUST TOUR!!!!!
Of course we took every minute between B&N & GMA to walk, eat at great restaurants, went to 911 Memorial (thanks, nkd for suggesting that…saw a Broadway play “Beautiful”…the story of singer/songwriter Carole King. It was wonderful!!!! Oh, the actor Vince Vaughn passed by us on the sidewalk. He was a guest on GMA. adamized said something to him like “oh, hi we just saw you at the concert”. We think he just grunted and kept walking. Not a fan. Adam would at least have said something nice.
I know I missed many things but this short trip ranks somewhere near the top of all my travels. I think I say that every time!! Can’t wait until the next one.
