After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    A short recap of my brief encounter.
    We arrived at B&N with luval shortly behind us. Shortly after 12:30, I think, these men in suits started clearing the aisle and just behind them was Adam! He walked right in front of luval and maybe 10 ft from me.
    Well, there were those shorts.
    About 45 minutes to an hour later I was gazing at that beautiful smile saying “Hi” to me. I told him that I love the album as he was signing mine, and he said “Thank you!”
    I thanked him and walked away. That’s all. It was a brief but sweet encounter!

    Now to sleep so we can get up early tomorrow morning!

    I have a lovely story. Since my two teen (16 and 17 yr old) granddaughters weren’t that keen about Trespassing, I really haven’t been updating them about Adam at all. The 16 yr old is mainly only interested in country music now, the 17 yr old does like Adam, but has been liking SS a lot.
    So imagine my surprise when she texts me this afternoon, saying “the new songs by adam lambert are amazing!!!!!!”
    So I asked her if she wanted me to gift her the album, and she answered “yes!!!!” so I did. Then I asked how she heard them, and she said she heard one song on Pandora, then went and researched and listened to all of them! Loves them ALL.
    So the message is getting out there, and then hopefully word of mouth will carry it further. She’s already told several friends, her brother (18), brother’s girlfriend, and they’re liking the songs too.

    Those chats with Lyndsey are just amazing. I don’t remember him ever being that open about his tough early years in LA. And he was just super relaxed – after all, they’ve been doing interviews for 6 years, since that famous “front porch” one. And, maybe it’s because he knows he can trust her, she’s never ever misinterpreted or veered from the truth in her reporting.
    This promo cycle has yielded some really wonderful interviews!!

    Love, love, love the interview with Lyndsey Parker and I agree with everything riskylady said. He might have had funnier interviews, but with Lyndsey, she asks the right questions and he just opens up and talks. She is so knowledgeable and it is obvious that she has so much love and respect for him and his music. I love this quote from the write-up that went along with the interview:

    Yikes, Hilary and Adam are neck and neck based on that mid-week report. She is catching up. I have no idea what her hard copy sales will be like but she is doing well on iTunes and is slightly ahead in streaming.

    The RCA exec’s will be high-fiving themselves if that happens.

    Our weapon: we are probably buying more hard copies. Please buy in singles. Big Smile

    ETA: Adam shows no streaming at all on that mid-week report. It is possible that the GT only streaming is not counting. Honestly, I can see why BB might insist that Spotify isolate single-song looping. Do what you want but you might want to stop looping for a couple of days since Adam got some extra ADDS this week and is guaranteed to rise on the singles chart.

    Adam co-hosting ET Canada is a biggie and now TO Glamberts know where we need to be on Monday if we want our CD’s signed. Can’t wait!

    I wouldn’t be surprised in Adam assisted with the MMVA Awards recap that ET does. Could be interesting.

    Also ET US may pick up some of the coverage. They routinely swap stores where it fits.
