After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    Discussion on twitter as to why people ask “what’s your next single?” It implies (to me), that the first one isn’t successful and please move on.

    I only missed a few seconds of the iheart show. Damn, those new songs are so good live…probably my least favourite live is Ghost Town, but still great…wow! Buzzing…

    Finally got to hear the whole album, but I need a couple more listens to make up my mind about it. I wasn’t able to give it my full attention, but I will say it was easy to listen to while doing other things. I think the biggest ear worm so far is Another Lonely Night.

    Misheard lyric–even though I know what it’s supposed to be, every time I hear the line in Ghost Town, I hear it as “my friends are disinfected.” It always makes me stop and think about what they used for disinfectant.

    That iHeart show was so f*cking perfect. He was so adorable and yet so serious when he was singing. I can’t wrap my mind around the fact yet that he sings these songs so terrible good (in some parts even better than the recording). No words… Dead… I really love him so much.

    I think I love him after tonight even more if thats possible. He was so happy on that stage, so incredible happy. He was shining so bright with it. You cant be anything but happy and giddy seeing him like this.

    I love him – nothing else.

    I got a first, “wow”, moment watching Adam during the live stream.

    It was so momentous, you’d think that I’d remember the song but I don’t. Ah, well. It was early on in show. I DO remember that. Laugh

    Adam hit a note and held it and I got goose bumps … on my knees!

    My KNEES? On my arms, yes, but never on my knees.

    Come to think of it, I have done some things on my knees but this isn’t the time or place for that …

    ITA luval. The question is coming in part because the CD has so many great songs on it but it must frustrate Adam to hear that question instead of “I LOVE your single!”

    A house guest from out of town showed up a day early.

    So I went to Target to buy a copy of TOH. No TV monitor, no fancy display but on the end of an aisle labeled “New Music” and the top shelf (premo location!)consisted of James Taylor (2 CD’s), Hozier (1) and then the two different AFL CD’s, Deluxe and Regular. All 5 of these CD’s were on sale. Adam’s cover stood out. Hope peeps walking by look over and see a handsome guy on the cover and stop to check it out!

    Thanks to mils and ulti for highlighting the fact that The New York Times has both reviewed TOH and featured an Associated Press article about Adam in the last two days. That’s pretty unusual. They must have received pretty favourable response to the review on social media and decided to put something more out there.

    HDD Album Chart for past weeks shows MUSE at #1 with 74,485 CD sales. They were #1 on the Sales + Streaming chart with a combined total of 78,080.

    Taylor Swift was #5 with 31,670 CD sales. She was #2 on the Sales + Streaming Chart, with a combined total of 67,267. The woman is incredible.

    #FINGERSCROSSED for next week.
