After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    awww, I enjoyed those videos, especially the interview part….but I can’t believe he asked when did the tour start…I mean how basic is that for the interviewer to know???

    I would never, ever have guessed that was Midge Ure……Vienna was one of my favourite songs from the 80’s.

    Back to view part 2. These guys were friendly but you could tell they really had know real excitement/interest in Adam YET. Hopefully they will actually take a listen to TOH and maybe view some QAL stuff to get an appreciation of Adam as more than a nice guy with a pretty face and lots of shoes.

    I am keeping all my fingers crossed that TOH does well in the UK. It would be thrilling for Adam to have success there.

    mils, I’ve been pondering your question regarding memories of the first QAL in Chicago. Of course the white pants, the FU sound system for the first song, the after parties in your room, and getting to meet so many ALLers for the first time are on the list. Walking in the pouring rain to the Greek restaurant, going to the Art Institute with Luval; mmm222; and nkd; and being there at the beginning of an epic part of Adam’s career are key parts of my memory as well.

    Luval, I hesitate to mention how much I love Adam’s hair now and how shallow it is of me to spend a second of my time worrying that he will run back to a stylist to shave the sides. I remember how disappointed we were at the NJ show that he shaved the sides and the back of his head. Here’s hoping that he loves the new look too.

    Wonder if he’s letting it grow for a role of some sort?

    BTW there was a facebook photo of Adam on the floor signing the CD’s (carefully keeping them separate so they wouldn’t smudge), but I see it was taken down.

    lol..memories of Chicago all week…the nutty cab driver nkd and I had from the airport to the hotel in the torrential rain…my flights in both directions were cancelled with no explanation. Had to scramble to rebook!

    I totally understand why 5 out of 5 stars are very very rare. It’s like where I work. I was told no one will ever get anything higher than a “satisfactory” review. There would be nowhere to go from better than satisfactory except down!

    WOW anyone read that Irish Times review of TOH? They just gave 2 of 5 stars and are really harsh O.o

    I know not everyone will like it, but that review is the first really negative I read.

    Spotify update: 9,095,496 streams!!!

    Over 9 mill now! Update of 285k.

    The others had nice updates with EITN still the most with 16k increase. TOH and ALN not far behind. Of the new songs available on the album so far Rumors has the most streams. Of the regular album Heavy Fire has the least. These Boys is the least for complete Deluxe album. Total increase today on Spotify for all TOH songs is: 365,043 streams!

    On the Top 50 Spotify charts The Netherlands, Finland and Denmark are going very strong. GT is #22 in The Netherlands with 54k streams, #15 in Finland with 34k streams and #29 in Denmark with almost 33k

    Twitter is saying 365,043 streams seems like a lot but it’s only 243 albums. And saying Ghost Town is really the one that has to be streamed more and more.

    I love looking up top and seeing one day to go!!!

    I set my DVR to record several shows after Fallon,just in case. Kinda reminds me of when he got cut off with Mad World. I just hope it doesn’t happen with Fallon, not cut off, but delayed so much by hockey that they show Fallon at some odd hour to make up for the delay.

    I have forewarned all my workberts.

    I cant get a grip on the emotions this song stirs in me. Its full of pain, hurt, sadness, cutting me down with the emotions in his voice. Its the end but still a new beginning, the hope for a new future without hiding and shadows. Each time it feels like I am pulled into a vortex of all these feeling, cant get a grip, loosing myself in his voice and melody. I am waking up at night with this song in my head, random times at day it springs on me all the sudden.

    Its like “Cant Let You Go” all over again just purer…what is he doing to me?

    Why do I have such a problem with spotify? I sign in, it gives me my profile page & then I can’t go any further. Am using my desktop. Does it not work here?

    I use the free spotify option. I downloaded it and it’s fantastic. I don’t sign in. It’s just there…on my laptop toolbar. They have had all the new songs available very quickly. Very easy to make playlists.
    Still waiting for my CD to arrive. Surely today. The trouble with this new way of marketing music is that there’s no surprise left. I could have been strong willed and not listened but that was never going to happen. It will sound so much better on my stereo.

    I’m doing both YouTube and Spotify in different browsers almost 24/7. The download from Spotify won’t play for me anymore for some reason. Also added Deezer and JUKE since they count for the charts in The Netherlands.

    Ghost Town is still doing great here in the Netherlands. It’s being streamed quite some on Spotify and also on iTunes it’s holding steady now again at #7 overal. Chart positions also went up this week with #29 in Top 40, #19 in Mega Top 50, #18 in Single Top 100 and #6 in iTunes Top 30.

    The album went up to almost top 10 on Friday, but is now dropping some to #28 in iTunes. There are a lot of various artists albums in there though so one artist only it’s around #18 now. It will definitely chart in the album top 100 by the end of this week here, but the question is at which spot. There hasn’t been any website which matters that has promoted or reviewed the album though. He did 3 interviews when he was in The Netherlands, but we’ve only seen 1 video as part of one interview so far. Wondering when we we’ll see the rest of that.
