After months of waiting, get ready for “The Original High” this month. We’ve been treated with 4 songs already but are anxious to hear the full album. Adam is out promoting at various radio stations, on TV and doing phone interviews. With “Ghost Town” slowly moving up the charts, it will be interesting to see if TOH becomes Adam’s second number one album. With timely appearances on TV during the week of the album release, his casual fans should be aware of the new music and help generate sales. Here’s hoping to a successful launch and that it leads to a solo tour!

    mmm222…I’ve only managed to listen to the full stream once so far, and on one listen Rumours was my least favourite too…
    I like it..just didn’t grab me as much as the others.

    Good morning. I am finally feeling a bit human after my weekend of wedding festivities. I am happy to report that I made it through the weekend without dissolving into a puddle of maudlin emotions. I now have a daughter-in-law. YIKES!

    The gift of having TOH streaming was more than I could have asked for. I love almost all the songs. “There I Said It” really gets to me. Such emotion and his voice truly soars.
    “Rumors” is definitely growing on me. Third time is a charm.

    Listened to iHeart. Another treat. Surprised by some of his choices but what an incredible platform. Adam just lives and breathes music. Fun hearing some old songs that I always loved. Went and purchased Chris Isaak “Wicked Game”.

    Don’t get the three stars in the Rolling Stone review since the write up was very positive. Hmmm

    Agree about SS but feel that his star will fade a bit unless he can come up with a different sound.

    Wish I could linger but have to get myself ready for work. Enjoy continued streaming folks.

    I’ve been nosing around other sites this morning and apparently Adam is taking over the @iHeart twitter account at 5Pm today. He will be holding a twitter party so get your questions ready!!!

    I think iHeart re-tweeted the announcement yesterday because they expected better numbers, given that Adam is getting approximately 1000-1,500 re-tweets for announcements from his own account.

    I’ll be going for my third listen later today. I didn’t care for GT when I first heard it but BAM! it hit me all of a sudden. My 107.9 station would text me when they would play it but haven’t gotten a message in 2 days. Frown

    I know any of these songs are going to sound amazing live. Just that snippet that we originally got from TOH at The Box was fantastic!! How he just wails & changes things around.

    Still nervous about release day.

    The word on the street is that we need to stream the hell out of Ghost Town on Spotify. Shoshanna is asking.

    If you look at the charts GT has a tough road to climb next week in terms of competition. If we can keep it level next week then the promo will do the rest for the following week.

    Streaming on Spotify always is a good idea since it counts for the charts in about every country.

    Streaming also counts for the album sales after it’s available next week. Right now streaming GT has the most impact since streaming only counts in the week it happens. After album drop streaming the entire album will be good.

    In the UK they want GT to chart as high as possible now for the release so it get’s a lot of airplay later on when the impact day is. I believe it’s not really released to radio yet (they are pretty slow there).

    Looks as though the iHeart thing is happening across the country. A Las Vegas radio station is advertising it for 2PM.

    Someone said the UK streaming will help achieve radio play in the UK when the song is released to radio there. Because of their wierd way of releasing. U.S. is already released.
    GT got 4 more HAC station adds yesterday. We’ll see what it gets for Top40 today.

    This album is better and bEttEr after every listen. Surprisingly Light has also began to grow on me very much, first it didn’t. It’s a club tune but the best club tune I’ve ever heard. It gets me in trance Hypnotized

    In its entirety, ‘The Original High’ is nothing short of a piece of art. Looking back at first album ‘For Your Entertainment’, sophomore record ‘Trespassing’ and then focusing in on today, the path that Adam has taken has seen him mature and develop into one of the finest artists of our generation. He may not always get the praise or commercial success that he deserves, but the fact that he has a fanbase willing to do just about anything to support him just proves how incredible he is, not only as a musician but as an icon of the business.

    Not only that but he comes across as genuinely likeable and charismatic during interviews, press and meetings with fans. We couldn’t wish anything but good for Adam and hopefully, now with this new studio record he can gain the recognition he so deserves.

    HK fan, I just copied that quote from Female first to bring here and I see that you beat me to it! I loved what they said, especially about his fan base Grin. Remember when they laughed at us and called us names? Now any artist would be thrilled to have the support and backing of such as us. Too bad for them. Adam deserves every bit of love that we give him.

    rs same problem here, hard to find 4hours…

    Live Aid certainly did it’s job in Finland. Three TOH songs on iTunes TOP7! Every hit/mainstream radio channel interviewed him during his visit and are having Adam theme days on the radio. 4+4 hours next weekend on one channel. I hope I manage to buy the cd on Friday before they sell out… Shock

    Spotify update: 7,631,986 streams!!

    A bit of a low update today with 177k, but also his other songs had lower updates. People were probably streaming the album yesterday instead of Spotify! The streams of GT in both The Netherlands and Finland strangely increased to 46k (from 42k) and 26k (from 23k) respectively. These countries again were responsible for over 40% of the streams of GT! Making GT #28 in NL and #17 in FI on the Top 50 chart.

    Another Lonely Night: 367,964 (from 356,117)
    Underground: 312,882 (from 305,548)
    Evil in the Night: 246,613 (from 234,338) Again the biggest gainer of the 3.

    Tomorrow TOH will be added to the list. Lets see how much that will get streamed.
