Wayne’s World was co-written by Mike Myers, who is Canadian, born and raised in Toronto, which might explain why Queen’s BoRhap was chosen for the car scene. The film is full of insider Toronto jokes, including Stan Mikita Donuts, which was an American take on a Toronto Maple Leaf player’s very successful franchise, Tim Horton’s Donuts. MM started with Second City here.
We had a business lunch with some Americans once and they said all they knew about Canada was Wayne’s World. They started joking about all the odd behaviour in the film and we kept saying: “NO, Canadians really do that”. They couldn’t stop laughing.

Good morning, Ron! Graduation and the graduation party are now done so I can get back to planning for Toronto!! Have to search back – I know you and cher were asking out our plans and arrival date. Haven’t gotten that far yet. Hubby found that the Queen bio from 2011 was on this morning and we caught the last third (2 hr. special). Looking forward to next Sunday’s show from Australia – do we know when it will be on in the U.S.?
Hubby has also taken to play Queen songs in the car!

Sometime last month, I read that you were looking into hotels in Toronto.
It seems to me, it seems certain to me, that everyone from ALL coming to Toronto will be staying at the Novotel Hotel at this address: 25 The Esplanade
I know that rs and Cher are staying with family but most, if not all, are staying at Novotel.
It’s the closest hotel to the Air Canada Centre. I think it’s about a 5 minute walk.
See you there? Or I will see you and your family somewhere here in the very near future. Can’t wait!

I read that this is the most wide open Tony Awards ceremony in years with only Neil Patrick Harris being a shoo-in to get the prize.
Well, we’ll have to look into that! I don’t see what time it starts but we’ll find it.
Guess what? I haven’t seen Wayne’s World either. That conversation at the American business lunch consisted of them telling us all the crazy things that Wayne and his friends do in the movie and our group telling them “but Canadians actually do that”. (It might be a crime for a Canadian to admit not seeing WW so keep that under your hats, eh?)
Billy asked me when Cher and her family are going to be arriving at his door. I told him some time before July 13th. That’s all I’ve got.

Looking at that pic from Hans Haveron, Adam is more than just a Diva. He’s a Muse, for people like Lee Cherry, Haveron, Skingraft, and other artist friends. Even Sutan – remember some of the most stunning makeup he did for GNT? His face is the male equivalent of Helen of Troy, sooo beautiful. I know, there are other handsome men, but I can find defects in every one i.e. Jared Leto has no lips, and without facial hair his face is longish and morose – gorgeous eye color, though. And so on…but every feature of Adam is beautiful, and then his hair, height, posture, broad shoulders, loooong legs, etc. etc. etc.
Now, add intelligence, voice, charisma.

There are discussions on twitter now about the VH1 video from the Trespassing era. Possibly hasn’t been seen before? Adam says Pharrell keeps telling him “You’re Freddie, you’re Freddie. I want you to be this generation’s Freddie”,
Adam also makes a remark “we don’t really want your kind here even in the music industry”. Not sure who he’s talking about. PD’s maybe?

Perhaps, luval, he means because he’s not a performer who just sympathizes with gays, but an out, bold, unapologetic gay performer himself. The former was acceptable, but the later obviously not so much.
My first thought when I read this luval was, unfortunately and sadly, he might have been talking about himself. Part of what an RCA exec might have said to him during a conversation?
