Agree about Kesha, but she was beginning to be very hot at the time. I think the idea of him being bi-curious gave hope to a few thousand fans, lol. He did say in interviews that she is very intelligent and down-to-earth, not like her “persona.” He’s defended her a few times, and she defended him too.

But well, he wears lots of leather, snakeskin (he can have all thr pythons in the Everglades for all I care!) and said he enjoys a good steak sometimes. Not PETA material lol.

They are gonna party so hard on our lakefront this weekend.
In the past, have sold 2 tickets on Craigslist, which I won on a radio station. They were great tickets. I sold them for face value.
I also purchased Journey tickets off of Craigslist, 2 hours before the concert here in Portland.
Also, Adam’s “Glam Nation Tour” sold out so fast, I was unable to get tickets. It was crazy, and I panicked.
I found the four I needed on Craigslist, from the same person, who bought them at the box-office, and ended up not needing 4 of them. He sold them to me for face value. I was high anxiety until they were in my hands.
So all my 3 experiences were very positive.
Give it a shot and see what happens. People in Portland sell tickets all the time on Craigslist. For the most part trustworthy, and fair. Scalpers are usually flagged.
Thanks twilightmagic8. Kijiji is the big online buy/sell/exchange website here, but I just put an ad on Craigslist too. 10% discount. I just hope I don’t have to eat them.
Was just over at the Planning thread and listening to several Queen songs from aely’s list. Thanks, aely. There are a couple that I like but don’t hear Adam singing them and some that I could hear Adam doing. I wanted to try and get familiar with Queen songs I’ve never heard. Still have quite a few to go. They have so many!

I don’t think there is a song that Adam can’t make his own in their catalog, agreed that some fit more than others but he has the range and ability pull it off.
That said, there are some songs I don’t EVER want him to touch, eg, Love of My Life (literally, I would be pissed) and a couple that I think he struggles eg. Radio GaGa but all together it is an unbelievable match “Made in Heaven”

A person (actually 2 people) on Adamtopia has been conducting a tutorial on Queen for the last couple of months and it is pretty comprehensive. Her goal is to cover ALL of the songs before June 19th. Their two compilation cds also offer the best crash course: Classic Queen and Best of Queen. (If you watched the 2012 videos, you’ve got most of those songs covered already.)
I agree with you re: Love of My Life, aely. It would be a shock if Brian gave that up. The middle set from 2012: Days of Our Lives, Year’ of 39 etc. was a chance for Queen fans, who are a committed and deeply emotional bunch, to reminisce and feel fully the loss of Freddie, the band that was and their own youth. It almost made me cry. The video of them all looking so young and happy was so moving.

Love of My Life is beautiful. But I honestly prefer Brian singing it instead of Freddie. Adam could certainly handle it with his higher register. Could be a Soaked moment. eta: Just to add if Adam did sing Love of My Life, I’m sure most fans, at least in the U.S. wouldn’t have a clue to the history of Freddie singing it. If Adam singing it and it upsets people would we ever know if it was Brian’s idea? It’s really up to Queen.

RE: PETA – I think they are very extreme in their tactics, like some GREENPEACE people. Can’t speak for Brian but I make a distinction between leather, which is a meat by-product, and fur, which isn’t. We are carnivores, like it or not, but no one is buying chinchilla at the grocery store.
Some onliners are claiming that the red jacket was real fur and that, as such, Brian may have had occasion to discuss his views on the subject directly with Adam. (Close pictures suggest that the fur was synthetic.) I doubt they have. Last week Adam was Brian’s special guest at WWRY and he would never have worn fur to that event if Brian had made his views known. (Also, the Brits are famous for staying out of other people’s business.)
Bottom line, I wish people wouldn’t wear fur. That includes Adam. I certainly have friends who wear it and I would never put them on the spot about it because it is clearly my opinion, not theirs. I love them and I love Adam anyway.

Do you remember when they announced Adam at one of the earlier music award shows, the camera actually moved to Tom Ford, the best-known out gay man in the audience!? (Even Hollywood had a lot of evolving to do just 5 years ago.) I always imagined that a meeting between the two would be stilted because Adam’s full- on rock & roll, chipped nail polish, wear-your-make-up-to-bed approach was the epitome of everything Ford hated. They would probably get on much better today.

Very happy for you and the state of Wisconsin, mils! It looks as though the 10th Circuit isn’t going to rule for Utah and Oklahoma before summer break, so SSM won’t reach SCOTUS until next June, by which time most Circuit Courts will have ruled and it will be pretty much moot. Gay Pride will be HUGE in the US next year. Maybe Adam will perform at one and we can make that our annual summertime get-together.

That’s a beautiful story HK fan. Adam is so considerate. I waited outside MTV Canada with two young fans all day in the freezing cold when Adam made his promo visit to Toronto in February 2009 (the day the VJ Jessie split her pleather pants during the interview.) Jessie told him we had been waiting all day so he stopped for 5 minutes and talked to us and took pictures. Lane had to make him leave us. His last words were “Now go and get some hot soup!”
