After what seems like an eternity after announcing the Queen + Adam Lambert tour in March, it will finally happen. Adam is in London preparing before the show kicks off in Chicago on June 19th! Plenty of ALLers will be attending the shows and as usual, we will be creating souvenir threads. Cannot wait to see the videos, photos and recaps!

    One final note, it has been noted on some of the comments here that I have not mentioned Adam in my updates, it is something I was aware of, but for no particular reason. I have not met Adam at this point, only witnessed him on stage in 2012, here in rehearsals and at iHeart. I am not going to enter any debate on his role here, it bores me. The guy has stepped up to tackle one of the greatest music catalogues ever and is clearly his own man, delivering the goods with brutal confidence. I am part of a team here to support him. It might sound like I am toeing the line, but the guy is good, really good and with each song he sings that I witness I just find myself nodding, cheering him and the band on from within.

    Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes. The iHeart show was the best present I could’ve had that night even if my stream wasn’t the best, I was just thankful I could watch it in the UK.

    And I am so looking forward to meeting everyone else who will be in LA, Vegas & NYC. Were gonna have so much fun Grin

    My kidney stone has finally shifted a little and even though it still hurts if I move fast I am happy to say I’m now at least mobile and walking without looking like the hunchback of notre damn Laugh

    My only concern right now is the news talking about the US possibly having an air strike and maybe even the UK with what’s going on in Iraq. My dad called me last night & said I can’t go so tell your friends your not coming but he doesn’t know exactly what I’m doing as I told him a few white lies to stop him worrying. So of course its not quite that simple.

    Does anyone have any info on this? I try not to watch the news as its often not good but I can’t see anything to confirm this. A friend I mentioned it to is also worried as shes flying to NYC on the 8th from Prague and we just don’t know anything, but guess all we can do is wait & keep in touch with the airport and the booking agency we booked with.

    But if anyone knows anything I’d appreciate knowing. Thanks.

    , haven’t been following the news too closely, but I would venture to say things in Iraq wouldn’t necessarily have too much impact here, don’t know about the UK. But even during the war it was pretty localized in Iraq. I guess, wait a few days and see?

    I’ll see how things go and will take it from there, I know things are bad but I agree they might not take it to this extreme. If there was a complete lock down I think there’d be even more trouble from US & UK citizens as well as those who have to fly to these countries for work etc. There has to be a better way.

    Just a couple of asides. I may have missed some key posts posts on here while I was in Chicago but:

    A) I haven’t seen any mention of Katy Perry’s new label beyond the signing of Ferras. IMHO, Adam will be on her label, too. She has been working on launching it ever since EMI’s recording division was sold to Universal, a move that she was not very happy about. UMG and A&K’s management company will be able to jointly leverage her clout to give Adam decent radio and media exposure the next time around. (Thinking Vanity Fair etc.)

    B) Very good news that BBC Radio One has added LMD to their playlist since that’s the only UK radio station that matters. Fingers crossed.

    Yes asif, we really did have a good time my Pisces friend. Meeting you was so much fun. Your sheer joy was catching. We tried to talk some to hubby and hope we made a good impression on him so he will want to join us again. Your daughter was very cute and fun. Great concert.

    Guess what???? ….. After dinner we had YouTube Queen + Adam Lambert on to show our friends about the concert we went.
