Last morning at home before heading west with mmm tomorrow morning. Already getting lots of moment to moment updates from fellow ALL travelers.
So… I had to work late yesterday since it was my last day for almost 2 weeks and everything that had been lying dormant for months became an emergency. At around 4pm we had our daily high drama thunderstorm roll in. At 6pm I smelled smoke and across the 4-lane street from me an apartment building was ablaze. At 8pm when I walked out the door a huge rainbow was covering the sky. Seems all the signs are telling me it is time to get out of here and head to sunny SD!
Ron, I think you look handsome now with your beard and you looked handsome when you were without your beard in your ‘before’ pictures. I have friends that shaved after 30 some years. In most cases after the initial shock wore off, I ended up thinking that they look very good and then after a few weeks I forget they ever had a beard.
Off to take care of some last minute items before I really start to actively avoid packing.

yup, risky, even with the staches. The layout, choice of poses, everything is just so perfect that the awful hairs are not only tolerable but just part of the overall artwork.
All of mlg‘s posters are wonderful, and we are so spoiled to have them, but of course everyone has their personal favorites. This is probably mine. (irony indeed!)
The only poster that I haven’t loved is the Paris poster (again so ironic!), and so many other peeps posted that they loved exactly the things that I didn’t. I think it is amazing that mlg is able to plug into the heartstrings of so many of us at different times.
This week’s crossword looks at a hot “Facial Feature” topic that seems to be creating a lot of buzz. Is that the sound of a shaver that I hear?

No, that was a very quick photo shop. So quick that I also got rid of some of my lips.
My partner upset?
I know exactly what would happen. If I did shave it off, more than likely a week would go by without a single word said about it.
Then out of nowhere, he’ll look at me, tilt his head (same way that a dog will do that quizzical tilt) and ask, “Did you get a haircut today?”
“Uh, no. Remember the goatee that I had for 20 years? Remember that? I got rid of it”.
“Oh, okay. I thought there was something different”.
A week later? Something different?
After all these years, he does look at me but I don’t think that he really sees me anymore.
(Even though Gil likes the back of his ears scratched, I wasn’t inferring that he’s a dog).
