What a very rewarding month of May we had as fans of Adam: an honor from GLAAD, a return to Idol, a broadcast of Chinese Idol and the 80’s Show in Japan, the Life Ball and finally, the Hope of LA award. June seems to be a relatively quiet month with only 2 concerts; one in Pittsburgh and one in Orlando. There were lots of great photos of Adam to choose from so I hope you enjoy the GLAAD photo chosen for the main one as well as the few that make up the mosaic above.

    I, too, love seeing Adam out and about in New York and getting all the positive attention at the top of the celebrity pile, which is exactly where he deserves to be. I think that his answer about Idol was exactly right. He has had enough experience putting his desire to be a judge out there and then being shot down and ignored. Best to just keep quiet about it, let it be known that he is getting on with the work on his album and doesn’t need them for his career to take off. If it happens, it happens, and if not, it wasn’t meant to be and no harm done.

    And I have to agree that he looks so fabulous lately. I used to think that my favorite look was from the 2011 Grammy’s but when I just went back and looked, he seemed to have too much foundation on. I still love the eye make-up.

    They are work expenses! Wink I would hope that he can take them off of his income tax. Besides, he gets so much use out of his clothes. Cool Definitely gets his money’s worth. And he doesn’t buy cars (did you see that Bieber got in trouble for hitting a pap with his car?), airplanes or houses. And we can enjoy these purchases. In Love

    But Adam definitely gets his money’s worth out of his purchases and apparently chooses carefully, rather than going into a store and buying one of everything, wearing it once, and moving on.
    I used to catch my breath when nekkid would put a purchase on the blog…but with his income, his purchases are if anything moderate, given that he has to look prosperous to be taken seriously at his level of achievement.

    But (and this is silly) it does meke me a little bit wistful that he is clearly no longer in our league. Does that make sense? I really want this success for him, I am so delighted! but a part of me is a little bit “sigh” that his success has taken him squarely away from our reality. Yup, silly.
    (and maybe I shouldn’t assume that we don’t all go out and buy $700 sunglasses and hang with Madonna…)

    A little perspective: He may be in NYC enjoying the limelight with bigger celebrities, but he is also playing 3 Fairs in a row. So I don’t think he’s that far out of our league just yet. Although, I wish he was. I wish he was unbelievably successful because he deserves it so much. I would be happy being able to see him in concert once or twice a year if it meant he had the recognition and music “cred” that would catapult his career into the stratosphere.

    Just went to the gym and broke my sunglasses so ran by Stein Mart to get new ones. I am wearing my Queen + Adam T-shirt. In and out. I walk in and go to the sunglasses and 2 guys walk up and ask if I went to the concert. I said yes and it was fantastic. They start the questions about Adam and it turns into a LONG discussion that by the end 2 women employees join in and me pulling up Hammersmith on my phone. How I wish I had some DVD’s. I gave them the news about a new collab and all agreed they should watch some video on YouTube. I loved it! I should wear this shirt more often. Every time I do I get questions. This was just funny because it turned into a group discussion. Then, I am not kidding, I hear my name and turn around. It is my HIGH SCHOOL boyfriend. REALLY, when I have just come from the gym! What an eventful trip for a crummy pair of sunglasses.

    Anyhoo, a hickey? How professional….LOL…and I don’t care what he does with that shirt, even if he dipped it in gold, I would hate it.

    I can’t get too excited about hickey-gate one way or the other. One poorly lit, relatively distant, bad angle, mostly covered photo taken by a fan, and the fandom is running wild with speculation and assumptions. It’s good for grins and giggles, but I think it’s just as likely a poor lighting issue as anything else. That was my first impression and I haven’t been convinced otherwise. There is no sign of anything in any of the other photos from that night.

    And I can’t imagine that any legitimate press outlet would make anything of it. Adam has had a series of fantastic press cycles re: Pittsburgh Pride, the WWZ red carpet, party with Madonna, etc. I can’t imagine that an obscure fan photo would end up on their radar screen. JMO
