After a very busy couple of weeks of promo and radio concerts following the release of “Trespassing” on May 15, Adam will head to London early this month to begin preparations for his upcoming concerts with Queen. He will do some album promo and a couple of live performances in the UK as well, where Trespassing is set for a July 2 release date. One of these shows is the “Rays of Sunshine” charity event at the very prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. Adam will also return briefly to the US for a free radio concert in San Francisco on June 24.

Our featured photo (Brian Ach – Getty Images) for this month shows Adam in a very happy mood while performing at the KTUPhoria radio concert. Enjoy the chat!

Ellessay, glad your husband is ok and hope he recovers quickly. You are certainly correct about Florida not getting much of Adam, Glam Nation came no closer than Atlanta until the three shows at the very end of the US tour, and Adam’s promo/radio tour this spring came no closer than Atlanta as well.

I did some reorganization of the navigation menus up top today. Decided to just categorize all shows/performances both past and future by date, whether they were part of a tour or whether Adam was/is headlining or not. Also updated the Upcoming Shows widget to list the next 20 scheduled concerts (there are less than 20 scheduled right now), and again will include all shows whether Adam is headlining or not. Also cleaned up the Trespassing menu with monthly date bins for shows and included a Planning category for the Q+A and spring/summer concerts threads.

Now if I could just get that Trespassing color theme to work…

ETA: May was the busiest month ever for our site – 2718 visitors and 67733 pageviews!

  2. milwlovesadam says:

Wow eywflyer. Such hard work, and it shows. Thank you so much!!

Question for you. Is the summer planning thread secure for members only? I want to be able to share info that I wouldn’t just want on the interwebz.

ETA: Just answered my own question by looking to the right!!

  3. luval says:

    Got Fault today. Syracuse NY.

  4. eywflyer says:

Posted the Costa Mesa pre-concert dinner details in the spring/summer thread. Will be at the same place some of us met in July 2010, Nick’s Pizza. If you are planning to attend that dinner please RSVP there.

Also looking for opinions on where we should have the Fantasy Springs dinner in the spring/summer thread.

A site programming note – we will have live chat threads for all three of Adam’s concerts this month. I will host the June 7 (Royal Albert Hall) and June 24 (San Francisco) threads, and AL will host the June 9 (G-A-Y) thread. Not sure if we will get much in the way of pix/vids from the Royal Albert Hall event, but I think there will at least be a twitter list.

  5. ultimathule says:

Many thanks, eywflyer – that was a LOT of work. Appreciate it.

  6. Kradamour says:

eywflyer, you are so good to us!
Many, many thanks. If not for you, none of the awesome “glamily vacations” would be taking place. I know that I speak for many when I say that our lives have been enriched by this site.

Have you seen this yet? Adam is so darn charming. Ovedressed, of course.

Thanks eywflyer. You have done such a great job with this site. The only thing that is missing would be some favorite performances from the American Idol Tour. It was fun to see how he wore his hair (every style had a name) and whether or not he’d sing “Baby” or “Woman.” The next time we have to wait and wait and wait for things to happen, maybe we could revisit some of the old AI tour videos. It’s interesting to see how much he’s changed.

First of all, I want to say how happy I am that both of your hubbies are doing well, Texas and Ellessay. Scary times for both of you, I’m sure!

My daughter-in-law is in the hospital once again for pregnancy issues. Blood test levels are abnormal, and they may need to deliver the baby. This is not good as she still has another 6 and a half more weeks until her due date. Anyway, I’ve had some extra time today as I’ve waited on pins and needles patiently by the phone….

eywflyer, this blog is truly a work of art and a labor of love. I went through every single one of your widgets. I took the time to read all of your sales/airplay thread as well as your Trespassing map thread. The amount of time and effort that you put into making us happy this blog is phenomenal.
You truly deserve a day of its own to celebrate YOU!!! Thank you, my dear…. Heart

“By the Rules” reminds me of “La Isla Bonita” by Madonna. Very different from the rest of the album, but I am kind of digging it already as a separate thing. I’ll join mils in the corner re lyrics: “in waves I can feel ya” Blush
mils: so glad you are planning for a concert. You deserve some time away from the treadmill and the job search.

  10. Kradamour says:

My Fault just arrived – southeastern Virginia.
They are trickling in…fingers crossed that all the trickles arrive for everyone!

So glad to hear that your husbands are well, Texas and Ellesay – and dcglam, your daughter is in my thoughts. Both of my sons were born four weeks early (done, cooked, time to take them out of the oven; thank goodness because I loathed being pregnant, I think they knew and wanted to help…!) but that additional two and a half weeks is tricky…still, nowadays it is not the scary thing that it used to be. Fingers crossed and prayers said for a successful delivery.

dcglam, you and your daughter in law and the baby are in my thoughts. Hoping everything is well for all of you.

  12. luval says:

I like By the Rules. I love La Isla Bonita too! I can almost hear a little island accent when he says “by thee (not the) rules I play”. Maybe all in my head!

  13. HK fan says:

I like By The Rules,it seems a bit of a grower. And I’m like Ceddies, I love Loaded Smile.

  14. milwlovesadam says:

In 5 days he plays Royal Albert Hall. That is such a HUGE f*cking deal. HUGE.

There are tons of videos of Adele playing there.

OMG. I just feel that we are going to lose our boy to the land over the pond. They are going to flip their whigs and lose their bloomers over him. Bloody ‘ell.

    Those f*cking lucky Glambrits!!!!

  15. milwlovesadam says:

“It seems a bit of a grower”

Are you sure you’re talking about the song and not something else?

    LOL.

  16. Calgary says:

Thanks ellessay for that musiqueplus interview. Too bad they didn’t do their homework re Ste. Agathe, but otherwise, don’t you just love the Quebecois? Can you believe 3.5 million votes? That’s half the population of the province!

  17. luval says:

mils, are you in the corner yet? If not you should be.

  18. Calgary says:

    mils

They are going to flip their whigs and lose their bloomers over him. Bloody ‘ell.

Your comment reminds me of a phrase I learned in Ireland many years ago, kind of Adam appropriate: “May the powers of darkness rot your bloomers!”

  19. luval says:

mils, thanks for that reminder of Royal Albert Hall. WOW…the virtual tour is amazing. Adam just has to be pinching himself.

  20. dcglam says:

Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughts, Kradamour and mils! I’m still waiting by the phone….. tap, tap, tap. She and my son live in Boston.
Otherwise, I would be there with them instead of next to my phone. Frown

  21. Ellessay says:

dcglam, hope all goes well. Hate the waiting. I’ve got six grandchildren (and one on the way), Three were preemies, but you’d never know it by looking at them now. I’m adding my prayers and best wishes.

  22. Ellessay says:

It’s so hard to be patient. We all know how great Trespassing is, and we want Adam to find success and recognition. I want to turn on my radio and hear his voice as often as I hear Adele. He’s got his album out there, has done the promo, and now is taking off for London for his time with Queen. I hope when he comes back, he finds himself in demand for US television–Leno, Letterman, etc. He can sing Outlaws of Love on Ellen, he has to do Underneath somewhere–people have GOT to hear that one.

Was reading a negative review on Amazon.com complaining about Adam screaming on the album. Lots of response to that one–accusing him of not listening to the album before reviewing. Another one had to drag out the Sparkle Cow and Glambert remarks.

I think we’re on the verge of something. While he can shine with Queen and Elton, he’s got his own great music out there. I can’t wait to see the grammy nominations!

  23. nkd says:

dcglam, add me to the list of prayers and good wishes. Those little darlins come when they are ready.
It is so hard to be far away at a time like this.

  24. nkd says:

Also adding my thanks to eywflyer for all the tweaking and improvements you do to keep this a perfect place to be!

I’m reserving judgement on By the Rules until we get a quality recording. It did not sound good on my car stereo today.

  25. dcglam says:

Thanks for cheering me up, Ellessay!
And speaking of “those little darlins”, nkd….
Both your daughter and granddaughter are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing pics with me last weekend.

I think we should all buy and sport them for the tour. They would make great dancing shoes!!

    And thank you, glambotgram.Blowing Kisses

  28. fwachdr says:

I’m still on vacation at the beach so have no idea whether my Fault has arrived (Georgia)…sure hope it’s waiting for me when I get home Saturday!

Kradamour, Can’t wait to see you in those Trespassing shoes!!! So classy!

And I want echo everyone else’s thoughts, which till now I have been unable to do: Prayers for dcglam’s baby (our first glambabies were premie twins who were in the hospital for a week, but are 11 years old now and doing great in every way), and it is amazing how much newborn care has improved in 11 years!

Also undying thanks to eywflyer for your work of love!

So glad Texas’ and Ellesay’s husbands are over their crises!

And now…back to catching up on the threads!

  29. nkd says:

    Awww dcglam, thank you!

Those shoes would look better with the shorts than the boots.
I like the hi top ones the best. I will not be sporting those however!

No FAULT here yet. I do now believe that I live in the last frontier.

  30. Kradamour says:

glambotgram…the shoes…honestly, even though I would NEVER wear them (gag cough argh bleacccccch)
    Pain Pain Pain
it is amazing to me how many black and yellow caution things are suddenly available – it is as though the universe waved a wand and said “let there be trespassing!”… I wonder if all this stuff was available before and I just never noticed it?
    Thinking Question Thinking
Maybe Bieber’s album stylist wasn’t imitating Adam at all, he was just part of a global trend that somehow the rest of us missed. (shakes head)
I can see the shoes on someone else, though.
I am trying hard to decide how I can incorporate these colors to some degree into my reality.
    Confused Confused Confused

  31. dcglam says:

fwachdr, thanks for helping to keep it all real. This will be my very first “glambaby”. We would love for he/she (don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, yet — parents want it to be a surprise) to hold off for at least another two weeks. However, that is looking very unlikely at this point.

  32. Kradamour says:

Adn this has nothing to do with anything except it needs to be posted somewhere and this is the only place I post:

These jeans were advertised on the same page as the caution shoes.

That MusiquePlus interview was great! Loved watching it. So fun, and cute. Thanks for the posting. Adam is just so charming, and real. I am attending the Costa Mesa concert and bringing 20 friends and fellow glamberts. Sorry I won’t be able to attend the dinner before(we are going to watch the pig races, and eat junk food at the fair!), but I will be sporting yellow and black! Bought a cute yellow and black little sundress that passed the daughter test! Although she said I could only wear it to the concert! Thinking of also going to FS. It’s just so hot there in July! What was Adam thinking??

dcglam how are things on the baby front this morning?

  45. glambotgram says:

Kradamour try switching browsers. I have to do that with some of the interviews.

  46. dcglam says:

    Thanks for asking, glambotgram
We are now beginning Day #2 of the waiting game. Yesterday’s blood work came back a tad bit better, so they did not have to deliver the baby yesterday. The plan was to deliver the baby if the blood work came back any more abnormal than it already was. DIL is still in the hospital with more blood work on the schedule for today. My son has been there with her 24/7.
We are hoping that if she does better that maybe they will let her go home, even though I’m sure they will be closely monitoring her levels. Fingers Crossed

  47. mmm222 says:

dcglam– Babies born 6 weeks early almost always do very well. They have to stay in the neonatal ICU for a few days until they are eating and maintaining their temperatures, but then they are just fine. If the mother has been “stressed” medically, it helps to mature their lungs, so respiratory issues are minimal if any. So, although the day to day waiting is very stressful right now, your grand-glambaby should be just fine.
