asif, thank you so much for those Queen videos. Brian really has a nice singing voice and wonderful phrasing. And Pavarotti sounded great with that song. I wonder if the Queen fans gave him shit for “filling Freddie’s shoes”? (Such BS! Freddie’s shoes are on Freddie’s feet. Everyone else wears their own, dammit.)
I was just reading Royal Albert Hall’s updated page about the Rays of Sunshine concert. They included everyone’s set list, but also really featured Adam in fotos, and mention the dedicated Glamberts in the write-up. So nice. And, I LOVED Adam’s suit and gorgeous tie that night. So classy, and blue suits him. The tailoring on that jacket was interesting, the collar was royal blue like the jacket, the lapel navy blue, with a black triangle in between, matching the pants. Looked like silk, and perfectly fitted. Appropriate for the venue and the event, IMHO.

Matt Cardle won XFactor in 2010, JLS are the group that performed at RAH and had their pic taken with Adam in the middle, very popular, Lisa Stansfield is a singer, Francesca Hull, TV actress, Little Mix, 4-piece British girl group.

Good afternoon peeps! Spent the past several hours shopping for a better deal on car, house, and umbrella insurance. What a painful process. Think I’m going to jump ship with the company I’ve had over 20 years since their premiums keep climbing.
It is much more fun to come here and see a lovely GIf (thanks cwm) and here about a fun party. There are sure to be pics and we can see what BB has done to his lovely head of hair. I cannot imagine that he would return to Gump head but who knows.

Hello all! It’s been a long time since I came out of lurkdom but I had to let you know that I just got back from driving my 20 year old Grandson to the airport. He is on his way to Mexico for a figure skating gig. A couple of his friends came along as well as my daughter. On the way back I played my CD and after a couple of songs one of the friends said she liked that and wanted to know who it was. Told her it was Adam and showed her the case. She squeeled and said she loved him on AI he should have won so I gave her the CD and told her to make sure and play it for all her friends since they weren’t playing him on the radio. She said yeah, what’s that all about? Yay, a young fan.

I had my first Adam moment today.
Last week I gave my jazz instructor TP cd. I have stressed out all week with all kinds of Debbie Downer thoughts. We are all 29+ in class so I was kind of negative if instructor would create a dance to Adams music, you know with words, ass etc. Today I got to dance to Shady for one hour and it worked really worked. She said she listened to the whole record with no idea who Adam was and picked Trespassing and Shady to dance to. Trespassing was too fast for the 29+ yr olds. but my biggest thrill was hearing fellow dancers humming Shady while they were getting ready to leave.
I feel like a ghost here most of the time,I can’t write very well and English is my first language. Most of my life I was painting pictures(still am)Only until last year since I got a computer have I realized my writing sucks. Practice helps.

Welcome josephine! I’m a better lurker here than a poster although I have improved. It’s a great blog/fansite with no friction, lots of information and interesting and fun peeps. After all this time I, too, have questions about the blog: I want to know how you all keep up or manage to post as much as you do. I am usually behind and by the time I finish the items I might want to post about are so far back it would be ridiculous to comment. So, lately, I have even started to read from the last page back! sparkle oh yes! I read those tweets from Nile Rogers and he was pushing hard and Sam Sparro felt he could do it. But I felt that Adam wanted that in between day to rest-himself and his voice- so he would do the best job for Queen and fans. I don’t think he will change his mind what with all the traveling he’s got to do…coming back to the states and flying back for 6 shows, etc.I do think that when Shady is done by Adam. Sam and Nile it’s going to be a spur of the moment thing that we won’t be able to plan for and the lucky ones will be the ones already there or going anyway. I was already thinking what would I do with my Alfie Boe concert plans on the 13th if Adam really did fly to Montreux!!

(For those of you who have no idea what we’re referring to, I was headed to a scientific conference after the DC FRESHtival concert. I do research on how to prevent the development of behavior problems (like substance abuse) in children and adolescents.)
Seriously, though, I do sometimes find myself trying to make scientific sense of what I and others experience when it comes to Adam and the fandom. It does function in many ways like an addiction. And I also find myself pondering the ways in which the social networks on twitter and blogs have functioned to spread Adam news lightning fast and the ways in which these tools themselves are also addictive.

I can barely tolerate the Fat-Bottomed Girls song. I am just so excited about these performances with Queen.

Some of the comments that I found interesting – It’s in the early stages for him (Adam’s career), Trespassing just flows better than FYE, and Adam is difficult to market. They talked to a cher – I assume that it wasn’t our Cher but she’s going to all 3 of the London concerts plus Poland!

Mark Wright, good looking reality star from a programme called TOWIE (the only way is essex), he was also on I’m a celebrity get me out of here, he came 2nd. Thats what I saw him one, and he came across as a really nice guy, had a ‘bromance’ with Dougie Poynter from Mcfly who won. Louis Spense is also a reality star,from Pineapple Dance, made a big splash with the British public who then got his own show, Louis Spense showbiz or something.(not very good)…
