I think he might have thought it would be a bit disrespectful towards Queen to run off in the middle of their three London concerts. Kind of like running over to a different party when one party has a lull. Or he wanted to maximize his Queen time. You don’t get to hang out with them every day either! Anyway, shame this does not seem to work out, hope there will be another chance.

This seems to have been the only hair style that virtually everyone has loved.
And most of Hollywood too. Look how many are sporting the pompadour these days! And, it’s not just a pompadour, it’s close cut sides, with just the top going way up high, with the front all “pomped”. I’ve seen it on everyone from Ricky Martin to a guy in One Direction. I see it every day.
But, nobody’s is higher or bigger than Adam’s. Ahem.

Remember that time that Jennifer Hudson flew down to Texas for a private gig between rehearsal and actual live Oprah? And barely barely made it back because of weather?
I think it would be madness for Adam to jet off to Switzerland on the 13th after back-to-back concerts in London on the 11th and 12th, and then rush back for the 14th. He’s always said he needs lots of sleep and rest for his voice to be its best, and these London gigs are highly important. Plus, they’re coming back from more hop-and-skip travel and big performances.
I’m sure there will be other opportunities the way they all travel around.
He did say in an interview that he only got 3 hrs sleep before the EMAs, plus jetlag, and that it was stressful, and that lack of sleep makes his voice wonky sometimes. I think that’s why the pronounced vibrato. Thankfully, he still sounded great but many noticed it.
So glad he has a good head on his shoulders. I bet if he were anyone else, he would have jumped on that plane…..

There’s a pic over at AQD that was taken yesterday (with a nice-looking guy). Hair looks like it just needs a trim – fingers crossed. (And perhaps his Norwegian roots were just peeking through.)
It was mentioned the other day that Brian said something about doing a few songs with Adam, and now there is something about a woman joining them in Moscow?

Zemfira also performed at that Moscow rock concert last year I believe. I read on a Russian blog that she would do one song, but I think maybe more than one. She’s very popular, so that’s a good move I think, plus takes the pressure off Adam – Queen concerts are longer than Adam’s I think. Maybe a duet, too, that would be awesome.

Luval, you may have mentioned it at the time but that quote came from a translation of a Polish interview with Brian May (which may itself have been translated from English) posted on the home planet. I have a hard time believing that Adam would be in rehearsals for almost a month to do a few songs, plus these concerts have been advertised as Queen + Adam so people are expecting to see Adam front the whole show. Comments on the home planet post were wondering if it was a mistranslation – supposed to be a few shows instead of a few numbers. That seems to be the most likely explanation IMO.
According to a poster at AQD whose daughter works at the London salon, Adam had his hair “coloured” today.

maybe adam was thinking Montreaux was Canada too. Montreaux in Switzerland is very doable, a 1hr 45m flight and no jet lag from London…could do it in half a day!!
I’ve just voted in several catagories on the Billboard half year awards for Adam, write in ones where he’s not nominated. But wondering what video to put down for best video, whether to put BTIKM or NCOE?? we should all be putting the same to make it more effective.

Hey everyone! Long time, no post! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted here. I’m sorry I went MIA. Between our daughter graduating high school (yay!), frail mother-in-law needing assistance (not so good), heavy work demands (including going up for a big promotion), and preparing for our family’s upcoming trip to Europe (!!), real life has been overwhelming. I’ve been managing to keep up with Adam happenings through twitter and occasionally managing to drop by here to read a page or two of comments, but there’s been no time for chatting or for catching up or keeping up.
Well, tonight I decided to make time. I felt discouraged about Adam’s numbers this evening and am so frustrated with radio, but coming here and reading your posts has lifted my heart and my spirits, so thank you. Like the rest of you, I want success for Adam that is commensurate with his enormous talent. We can’t predict now what level of success he will eventually attain, but I do believe that he will always have opportunities coming his way that will keep him in his beloved boots and jackets and a nice home. No matter what, he has me for life. I just want him to be happy and in love and to keep making music so that I can listen to that voice and see him perform, knowing that his heart is full.
And I CAN’T WAIT to see him with Queen in London! Two shows! One seated and one GA. I think a lot of us are doing two shows so that we can drink in as much of the experience as possible. Really looking forward to meeting many of you there! It was such fun meeting so many of you at the DC FRESHtival show. Now I’ll get to meet a bunch more of you in London!

I agree with all of you in hoping A stays away from hair shavers… This style is so gorgeous! Maybe just black coloring – I love those light highlights but maybe totally black is better with dramatic Queen?
I am selfish, but I really hope Adam is going to sing more than “a few” songs in London. Maybe it’s different in Eastern Europe concerts because they are festivals with many performers, am I right about this? London concerts are just for Queen+Adam.
I guess Adam may think Montreux is in North America. I am European and didn’t know it’s in Switzerland
But anyway I’d believe he wants one evening vocal rest before the last Queen concert.
LadyNorth Love your Adam story. I wonder all the time what happened to me when that boy walked into the Idol auditions and started singing my all time favorite song. I was gone from the very beginning. I think sometimes about how much we love him just knowing him from afar. Imagine knowing him in RL. It is no wonder he has such loyal and amazing friends.

I am too glambotgram wondering how it is possible to feel so strongly about someone you have never met! When I was digging in to Adam’s life in interviews etc., I started to feel like I almost knew him, so open he is, about good and the bad! So that’s probably what being a fan is about – it’s not just liking the music, it’s something else too. Not just daydreaming of some cute guy but really wanting everything good to happen to someone who really deserves it, because of who and what he is. Talented, charismatic, hardworking, nice humble person who is not using others to reach his goals. I feel very sad or bad, if someone says cruel things about him or predicts he’s going to fail… But when I listen to him in his interviews, things look more positive again. I bet the fans are more worried and sensitive than the master himself 
I also found myself fallen in love with his love story
. What a beautiful thing in the middle of today’s cynical world! The way he talked about it melted my heart. I am a realist, but romantic – why not take everything out of that feeling until reality bites!
Adamized, yes my addiction is not so burning hot storm anymore, but it certainly felt SO good at the beginning
. I recognized the same feelings in other fans’ descriptions, so I know I am not alone 
I may continue my whole story later in the thread made for introducing the beginnings… It really changed my life into better.
What is very interesting is the fact that many of us are “29-year-olds” with family or even grandchildren. I find this fascinating on the phenomenal level too (what makes a mature “normal” person to go cuckoo for an artist). But I could not imagine myself in a fandom with only 15-year-olds screaming “Adam I love you, you are so sexyyy….” Ok, I do that too (internally
) but I also need some intellectual, more analytic challenge. And the core anyway is music, that’s my passion over other arts and things.

Only a 4% drop is good news after the much larger declines of previous weeks. Hopefully the album can stabilize at this level for now, then get a boost from new promo/concerts after Adam returns to the US, or publicity from the Queen concerts, or improved airplay for NCOE or some other single, or a combination of those things.
Welcome to LadyNorth! I’m so happy to see new folks finding their way here and joining our community. We are growing exactly how I want us to, not with a huge flood of folks all at once, but one person at a time with thoughtful fans who appreciate the quality of the interactions here.
I don’t post often but am always lurking. Anyhoodle…I know a lot of folks worry about Adam and how he’s not quite clicking (at least in the US). Me, I’m not worried, and here’s why (besides the enormously talented part). I think part of it is the gay (like it or not) but I think MOST of it is the industry itself. The music industry (esp. Pop) is very fickle, contradictory and cyclical (mostly fickle). What’s popular now, won’t be later. That’s the way it is, has been, and always will be. We have had [in the relatively recent past] smart, intelligent, and talented, singers/musicians. Unfortunately, that’s not where we are today in popular music. That being said, I predict, when the tides inevitably change (and they will), that Adam will be ahead of the game and on top.
eywflyer, thanks for the more encouraging news. I can’t remember when the CD goes on sale in England. I hope we can get stats of that too when we need them. I just have a feeling that he is going to hit big in Europe, and keep growing all year long. I really hope that he can put out a radio friendly version of Shady or Cuckoo.
Sorry for single angst again, but, I just truly hope for “better” singles and that he doesn’t miss out on the Fever and Sleepwalker of Trespassing too.

Hi guys, I’m on a personal mission today to get some work done around my house. Had oil changed in car this morning, so trying to keep up my energy burst. I just checked in on Facebook and saw a posting from one of my friends on there. Apparently there is some kind of push from ALF to try to get Comcast to broadcast the Elton John concert. I’m not on the Fan Club, so I can’t check it out; but some of you who are members may want to see what that’s about and maybe bring that information here. Just sayin’.
