I just purchased 2 VIP tickets. I invited Goatie to come as my quest, but haven’t heard back. She said earlier today that she’d love to see the show and to send her info. I really think he’ll do a fairly long set. I may try to contact the station and see when he’ll be on and for how long. It’s a ways off but I’m getting excited. You’ll all get to see Iowa at it’s best. It’s green, green, green, that time of year. I have RainbowGals e-mail address so maybe I’ll see if she’s interested. The more the merrier.
I also hope that he adds more midwest dates.
Just my luck, I’ll go all the way to Des Moines, and he’ll add Milwaukee!! Or Madison. ( Hoping Hoping Hoping)

Jojosie I have heard so many people talk about how boring it is to drive thru Iowa. I drove thru the state a couple of times and think it is beautiful. Such gorgeous very well kept farms, I loved it.

I’m back from watching the TALC WB videos and drooling on my keyboard. I do love being on the crazy train. My husband knows that once the tour starts I’ll be traveling all over with my ALL pals. By the way, when he first heard that I was sharing a room in WB with someone named “sparkle” who I met on the internet, he was incredulous. It was so funny! Of course, I told him that he was even crazier than me, and I was right because sparkle was a great roomie. Now that he’s heard about how great all of you are in person, he sees the humor in his initial reaction to my cavorting with people I met on the internet. He’s always been Mr. Worst Case Scenario, and I am the complete opposite. But at least we can laugh about it.
So. It’s a Saturday night show. I’m thinking about driving on Friday. “Rest” on Friday night. Spend the day at the park and the show at night. Back to hotel Saturday night and leave on Sunday.

Eywflyer If I remember correctly mils started having problems after upgrading to Firefox 12, is that right mils? I still have version 11 and all buttons are there for me. Seems to be a lot of bugs in 12, my DH has had some problems with different sites as well.

As for lists, I find that since I have been unemployed for 8 weeks, and the best mental stimulation I get is blogging here, my brain is now just a melange of Adam Lambert trivia and music, and Swiss cheese where my smarts used to be.
Maybe it just needs more mental exercise.

glambotgram, you’re right about 12. We upgraded after our cleanse due to the Viagra virus we were inflicted with. And which was inflicted upon my whole address book in a most embarrassing manner.
Viagra spam sent to all my son’s teachers at high school. Sent to all my family and friends, some of them here, and, to my rabbi and members of my Board that I work with. So humiliating and hilarious all together.

LOL’d when I saw that I was on the list of attendees (well I was definitely there in spirit but that’s all – at my daughter’s volleyball tournament the rest of the weekend – everyone loved my Trespassing nail polish!). Sparkles took that picture, not me (I am simply “sparkle”, a nickname my hubby gave me when we were dating). Sweet Adam dreams, everyone!!
Geez, I’m listening to 101.9/Chicago’s UMixIt listener-driven program, and Adam has had 5 songs play in the past 3 hours! NCOE has played 3 times, with BTIKM and WWFM each playing once. When BTIKM was newer, I often heard it play 2 or 3 times during the nightly 4-hour program, but I’ve never heard 5 Adam songs in one night–and there’s still an hour left of the show! The Dj just gave a nice little chat about Adam’s album debuting at #1 and about how Adam owes his having been signed to Idol. For anyone who’s also a fan of Kris, TVOL has also gotten at least 2 spins that I’ve heard tonight.

We were melting this past weekend too. But, today it is really cool.
I am bringing my chair that has a “roof”, a collapsible cover over it. I actually have two. I’ll bring both, and share. We take them to the beach. It is a great way to have shade and beat the heat a little.

I don’t mind them, mils. I sat right next to a few of them in National Harbor last week and had the opportunity to see them up close and very personal, as well as seeing some in Wilkes Barre.
There were dark places in them that I can’t really explain. I think perhaps that they have attached themselves to Adam in an effort to fill the dark and empty places, but they can’t because they don’t really “get” what Adam is. They associate with each other, but they aren’t really friends. I couldn’t help comparing us on our happy adamized blankets, leaning in to each other, hugging, squee-ing together, looking out for each other, bringing drinks…and them, side by side and occasionally talking, but there was no warmth. I wish I could explain it better.
I saw the same thing in Raleigh on the GN tour, but didn’t feel it, up so close and personal.
I am just sad for them. They can put on the trappings of a fan, but they want to absorb Adam, not celebrate him.
(shakes head) I really can’t explain. But I can’t dislike someone for whom I feel pity. And the SPGs of my observation are worthy objects of pity.
