Beautiful Fan Art
http://twitpic.com/9wdmb0/full
That’s really both beautiful and poignant, glambotgram – thanks for putting it up.
I don’t understand radio at all. But I can’t really comment as I don’t listen to radio here. My main car I usually drive doesn’t pick up radio very well, and I don’t have a radio in the house. There is a HK internet radio station that plays non stop music, but I very rarely listen to it. The computer is on the middle floor, so I would have to have it playing very loudly to be heard in the rest of the house. I do remember them playing WWFM fairly regularly though. And I did hear FYE in one brief listen in the car.
Pop radio seems to be aimed at the 18-24 ? age bracket, but I personally don’t know of any people in that age group that listen to the radio, (nor do many others from what I keep seeing on blogs),and I know quite a few in the demographic as I have 3 kids that fall in that age group, they all get their music from the internet. It seems to be a vicious circle, radio only plays songs for the younger generation, who don’t listen, and won’t play requests from the older generation who are more likely to listen but who are being turned off by all the ‘rap and crap”…
Billboard are supposedly going to be taking internet listening into account soon towards charting figures, so maybe that will help.
Can’t remember who said WWFM is more of a singalong than BTIKM and NCOE, just wanted to disagree, personally anyway. I loved BTIKM and really love NCOE, I love singing out loud to it in the car, I find it much easier to sing along to then many of the others on the cd. Maybe its beacuse they’re a bit slower, less lyrics so easier to learn and keep up with.
I went to my first ever karioke place last night with 5 other women. Well into the night, my friend spotted Adam on the choices, so eagerly we clicked on, only to find they only had one song of his, TFM…but at least it was his music video (98% of them were cheesy cover groups with awful 1980s cheesy chocolate box videos). One of the women (hadn’t met before), said ‘oh, did any of you go to see him when he was here, I did, he was so amazing”, and several more words to that effect….I wish I’d had one of his cds to whip out of my bag. Anyways, I told her that he had a new cd out, that it was really good, and to go and check his vevo channel out to see his new videos.
HK fan, my son’s peers (age 20-ish) don’t listen to the radio, either.
Nor my older son (25) and his peers.
So who is listening?
Not us 29 year olds.
Not the young demographic.
The 30-somethings in the middle?
My brain hurts.
I really enjoyed the posts today, but they wore me out.
Off to bed, hoping for cheery news and amusing links tomorrow.
G’nite, peeps!
Sweet Adam dreams!

josephine, I’m still waiting on my Fault magazines. I’m sure it’s because I live in a desolate outpost from society in the 4th largest city in the US!
Nekkid, I’ve not gotten mine yet either and I sure don’t live in a desolate outpost in the US!! I live in a rocking hot city!!
My Queen Extravaganza experience
Hi y’all!! I’m back after the show. It was pretty darn good. They have 3 male lead singers, all doing different songs/combinations and a female singer. She was good enough, but nothing special. The guys were all good. Marc Martel did most of the popular Queen songs. They all did different parts individually and together in Bohemian Rhapsody and it was excellent and very dramatic. Don’t know how Adam’s gonna do that one all by himself but I guess he’ll get some backup help. Adam’s versions of WWRY , Show Must Go On and We Are the Champions are definitely way better as we know but he did pretty well. The guy that kinda looked like Constantine Maroulis who did mostly the rock songs was very good as did the one that sang the softer songs. Marc Martel plays guitar and piano and so that was good too. The band was absolutely superb. Truly good. I enjoyed it very much and am worse excited to see Adam and Queen in London now. Can’t wait. OMG!!
Funnily enough I went to the bathroom after the show and two ladies were talking, saying that they thought they were coming to see the real Queen minus Freddie Mercury and I put my two cents in and said , “Nope, the real Queen band is gonna be performing 6 shows in Europe next month and I’m flying over to see them in London. They have a different frontman. ” They asked who and I said “Adam Lambert” and one lady said to the other “I knew I’d heard something like that about Adam Lambert and Queen” and then she said to me, “You’re flying over to London to see Queen? You must be a really big fan of theirs” I said, “Nope. I’m a really big fan of Adam Lambert” and she said ” Good for you. Enjoy yourself then!.’ I said, “Thanks! I definitely will.”
I can’t believe I forgot to wish retjenny
Happy Birthday here yesterday. I’m a bad Glampal!! Hope you had a fabulous 30th again retjenny!!!!
cher, I’m glad you enjoyed the show. I bet you are so excited for your trip to London!
I don’t exactly live in a desolate place either, even though some here think I do!
I don’t know why we haven’t gotten our magazines yet. I’ve been on the Fault website and left a comment but I’m not sure where you are supposed to leave them any information. I just want to know it’s coming sometime.
If I do end up clicking on “post comment”, I will have to know that I’ve completely lost my mind. I realized that though a long time ago though so it won’t be that much of a shock.
I’ve shared just about everything with all of you like, my name, my photo, more photos, too many photos, and a recent video. The only thing I haven’t posted are my nude photographs. Talk about baring one’s soul!
No such photos exist so you can all breathe a sigh of relief. Even if they did, and they don’t, I’m not THAT crazy to post them.
No, instead of anything like that, I made a video tonight of me singing. No music, just me singing. I haven’t sung or tried to sing anything for years!!
Unlike Adam, who knows how to sing properly, during my career in theatre, I didn’t have the training. There’s a chest voice and a head voice, and something in between, but I never learned those things. I sang full throttle from my throat for too many years, too many performances and simply ruined my voice. I’m not sure it was all that good to begin with but it did get me jobs.
My hello gorgeous friend will recognize the song. It’s a song that really resonates with me today!
As dear mils might want to say, “Oi Vey”.
Just another side of me that you haven’t seen before and will never, ever see again.

Okay, I confess! Has to be my FAULT! Couldn’t be satisfied with just one,
had to order two of the damn things – really screwed everything over. Sorry
peeps!
ETA Thank you Ron, enjoyed!!!
So it’s official, I’ve lost my mind.
Ron, thank you for that video. I am smiling from ear to ear!
You are very brave and you have a lovely voice.
jlurksacto…OK, it’s your Fault!
Ron: I loved that. You are so special. If there is one talent I’d love to have it’s being able to sing. When I tried out for choir back in 6th grade, the teacher suggested I stick to sports.
cher: Thank you for your report. Now I feel like sitting into one of those and heading over to London. Not happening. But I count on detailed reports and videos.
I think what you really mean is how could anyone post anything like that?!!
Lovely enough to be in the top 10 of HAC or is it MAC or maybe SAC, I don’t know
I’m hoping for +18 bullets. I don’t know what that means but it sounds good.
What am I doing up at 4am?!??
Good night.
Ron- Very nicely done!
Ron I just love you! That was awesome. You always make me smile, and before you make a joke about of it I mean, smile with pleasure. Thank You.
Ron, I love your performance video! Someday I would like to hear more about your career in theatre. You do have a lovely voice.
Speaking of performance videos, did you guys see this? It’s a video of a young boy in Portugal singing WWFM in school. It is adorable!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K14yc3u3B_8&feature=player_embedded
And I want to wish a very happy Father’s Day to all of you who will be celebrating today!
Ron, I am so impressed on so many levels. You are a braver soul than I, and much more talented. I have to confess to not knowing that song. But, you sang it beautifully and with heartfelt emotion. If this is your voice after “wrecking it”, wow, it must been amazing back in the day. Because it sounds very nice still today. Honestly.
And, on another note, Happy Father’s Day to all who are fathers, have fathers, or are remembering fathers today!!
Ron, thanks for the video, it brought a smile and a slight tear too, for two reasons, One, that you must love that song, and did great singing it, and Two, that you could put yourself out there like that, few of us could, or should, I know if it was me trying to sing you all would be over the toilet! But someday I might post a link of me running my agility dog, you’all would be info a great laugh. It fits along with Runnin, I need to look into putting sound on a video or 2 of mine.
HEY Lets gets Rons views over millions so he could be a high view on UTube, and maybe get invited on AGT! Whats ya think?
turquoise, LOL, about your choir try-out! I share your pain, when I was in 7th and 8th grade we had to be in choir. No choice. I remember the first day we all had to go up to the teacher and piano, he would play a key, and we had to match it vocally. After several trials, he told me to stand in the back and just move my lips with no voice. For two years I had to lip synch 2 times a week and at all concerts too.
And I ain’t no Brittany Spears!!
To this day I only sing when alone or in my car. I just belt it out, but, I am so off key, even I know it!!!
Nothing like getting up at the crack of noon.
I see I made another fool of myself on here last night. Ah, well …
Goes to show you that a couple of beers + the internet do not mix. Or, they shouldn’t be mixed!
Ye Ol’ liquid courage takes over and one does things one normally wouldn’t do.
What seemed kinda sorta “okay” at 4AM doesn’t seem all that okay right now!
I don’t know how you do it but … thanks for putting up with me!
It’s a shame the tiny microphone in my webcam couldn’t capture my full “lush” notes with clarity. (Yeah, blame it on the microphone Ron! Actually, it IS true).
Of course you do!!
Just shows that I made it unrecognizable!
This is the way it should be done and should sound! I’ve always loved this song but it does have a deeper meaning for me today …

Have a good afternoon everyone!
HK fan thanks for sharing the video of your daughter. Let me echo others here who heard and saw what a lovely and talented young woman you have raised. You must be so proud.
Ron honey, no need to have morning after regrets here. This is a safe place where we appreciate ALL of your sharing.
If it makes you feel any better I gave up any remnant of vanity I may have had this past Monday. I joined a water aerobics class at my pool. Here we were a large bunch of “29” year old women (or you could say a bunch of large “29” year old women) on display for anyone with the courage to look jumping up and down in the water. Luckily we all had good senses of humor and spent most of the time laughing hysterically at ourselves and each other.
For those of you who don’t have the date marked on the calendar, this is the 2 year anniversary of “IF I HAD YOU”
Happy belated birthday peeps!
Hi all!
cgesq – Happy belated birthday! I really enjoyed meeting you and talking to you at WB. Hope you celebrated in style!
Ron – You have a beautiful voice and I was quite mesmerized by your performance. Your courage inspires me!!!
The entire family accompanied my husband yesterday to Sailabration for an early Father’s Day gift – he was so proud introducing everyone to his shipmates (he volunteers on a ship in Baltimore). It was lovely afternoon and we saw an airshow with the Blue Angels. It would have been even better if the ship had been playing Nirvana when they flew by!
The family did allow me to play Trespassing in the car – I’m trying to win them over, slowly but surely!
Happy Father’s Day, peeps!
Hey Sparkle you were in my neck of the woods. What a perfect day to enjoy the harbor and the air show and to meet your hubbies shipmates. Glad you enjoyed yourself and had wonderful music to accompany you on the ride!
Know that song, Ron – saw all her shows back in the day. The first time I heard her we were stationed overseas in Taiwan in the early sixties, and her voice came over Armed Forces Radio singing “Happy Days Are Here Again.” Was hooked and bought every LP she ever put out.
Here’s a great version on the Gary Moore Show about 1962:
http://youtu.be/Bo7V0Tz0fxg
Aw. ron, thank you for the video. It put such a smile on my face.
Mils and turquoise, I can top your stories (wish I couldn’t!). My mother and brother were singers and I loved to sing so I was thrilled when the synagogue was putting together a children’s choir and the asked my parents to send me, even though I knew I couldn’t sing. Well, after a few weeks they asked my parents not to send me anymore because I was getting everybody else off key! It gave me such a complex that I don’t let anyone ever hear me sing. In public I just mouth the words, but alone in the car with the windows closed I sing along to Adam to my hearts content.
I don’t exactly live in a desolate place either, even though some here think I do!
I don’t know why we haven’t gotten our magazines yet. I’ve been on the Fault website and left a comment but I’m not sure where you are supposed to leave them any information. I just want to know it’s coming sometime.
Nekkid, I emailed customer service and they said something about the shipping agent messing up somewhere overseas and that they would fulfill all orders even if they have to do a 3rd printing. Let’s see….

Hi adamized – loved meeting you at WB – such a nice person and always smiling! It shows in your posts. The water aerobics class sounds like a lot of fun!
Are they holding hands, jlurksacto?
Adam looks so young in that instagm, glambotgram – has that pink and blue shirt in same place going up escalator. Looks like he and Sauli were out shopping. Can’t resist – lol

We saw Scars on 45 in DC. I really enjoyed them and bought their album on itunes when I got home. They are a British group. They have a nice harmonic rock sound.
I wondered the same thing, ulti. Or holding fingers.

Yes BB you can, oh the visuals I have now.
Part of Brian talking about Adam.

He loves ‘our boy” as much as we do.
nkd He should be on billboards all over the country.
No wait a minute I am sure the # of accidents or traffic jams would go up considerably.
nkd I am sorry to hear your MIL is not doing well. I meant to get back to you sooner after I asked the other day but kept forgetting. HTP for you and her.
I love this…from Adamtopia
More about the meaning of success
Written by momtomay,
I am just this ‘older sister’ who knows nothing about spins or votes or rankings or polls or any of that stuff.
I am this ridiculous Adam fan who, three years ago, experienced a change. Now I do all the new and exciting things you do. Go to the forum every day. Listen to music again. Bite my tongue when someone asks about Adam – because, if I didn’t, I’d be talking till Tuesday about the amazingness of Him. See him when I can. Which, has led me to overcome my fear of flying; break free of the need to ‘be with’ someone when I travel or even experience an evening out. It’s okay to be alone – strongly alone. I love the freedom of being my personal lion.
This album, this fabulous album, will not ‘break’ Adam. I don’t care about fucking numbers. The album is a work of art. It will assume a place in Pop history; but maybe not right away. Such is art. Through time, so many masters; so many geniuses . . . were never to be recognized until they became part of the infinite mystery that confuses our minds and spirits. I don’t presume to know what Adam thinks. I hope, though, that there will be a starry night when he is in the tiny observatory with Brian May – where they’ll contemplate the Universe, and their places in the Infinite.
Adam has already paid attention to this. He knows ‘success’ is not in numbers and charts and sales. He sings of it in ‘Runnin’ – how chasing the numbers brings him down, down, down.
I won’t let numbers bring me down, either. Nor will I allow numbers to lure me into happiness! I only care about Adam’s presence, his gift, the sharing of his gift, the receiving of his gift, and the knowledge that ‘nothing but gold can stay’. Adam is gold. No matter what we mere mortals listen to, or buy, or follow – Adam is here for the rest of my life – Yay! And his excellence will shine and be measured on a far grander scale than I can imagine.
I never traveled – and I will be leaving for Moscow in two weeks. Adam Lambert is not my personal muse or catalyst, but he is an inspiration. In believing in myself and my life’s journey and my personal quests, I have to acknowledge this path I’m taking – that I never, ever, in my most vivid dreams, would have thought I’d be forging through. I’m thrilled and afraid – for many conflicting reasons that tear at the ‘me’ I’ve been for over sixty years.
I’m doing it for me. I’m doing it because I heard a voice one night that changed the makeup of me.
I believe in that voice and that language of honesty, soul and sex and real and I’m not alone. Around the world there are voices like mine, like yours. Cries of exaltation in the dark! We have heard a voice that speaks our language! We may be in Serbia, Israel, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Japan . . . but we are kindred spirits.
This is only the beginning. Adam will sing for 350,000 in Kiev. He will sing in Moscow and London and I will be there!
And beyond. One day we will meet with others who still search for a way to explain what’s happened. I feel my only ‘task’ is to keep the flame alive in my heart. Adam, and I, and you, deserve this warmth.

Wow luval, that is great and so relatable!
Thank you glambotgram, we all do what we have to.
luval Thank you for bringing that over. She speaks for many of us. I want him to be a mega star but I know if he isn’t, he will be fine. He is working on his craft and making enough to live(and shop), he has a great love, he has a wonderful family and a loyal bunch of friends. He has critical acclaim. And he has us, the best fans in the world.

I love this response — absolutely perfect!!
It never ceases to amaze me how quick Adam is on his feet…
And luval…. That ‘momtomay’ post is so incredibly true for so many of us.
I love that Polish radio interview too! The children part and “it was love at first sight” with Sauli.
I just got a text from my daughter, she’s in the grocery store and they are playing NCOE! I have not heard it on the radio here, I wonder what source Kroger uses for it’s music.
But yay!
