After a very busy couple of weeks of promo and radio concerts following the release of “Trespassing” on May 15, Adam will head to London early this month to begin preparations for his upcoming concerts with Queen. He will do some album promo and a couple of live performances in the UK as well, where Trespassing is set for a July 2 release date. One of these shows is the “Rays of Sunshine” charity event at the very prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London. Adam will also return briefly to the US for a free radio concert in San Francisco on June 24.

Our featured photo (Brian Ach – Getty Images) for this month shows Adam in a very happy mood while performing at the KTUPhoria radio concert. Enjoy the chat!

Back from the land of blocked internet!

LOVED those bras!!! (Thank you, Ron, for trying to help with my unmentionable essentials!)(Ron, that batwing top is also a good option. The yellow with a black cami, maybe.)

I actually think I might buy the bratop that luval bought. (Luval, we’ll have to negotiate who wears it at concerts we both attend lol)

I also like this from the same seller:

Come to think of it, I was once a professional seamstress. Hmmm…
    Wink

  7. Ron says:

Honest, honest Kradamour. I just finished listening to “Underneath” and was thinking how much that song means to you.

There’s always a first time and I never thought I’d be thanked for anything having to do with bras. Big Smile

I was thinking of you Kradamour when I saw the bat wing 2 piece (it is 2 pieces) blouse. To me, it has your name written all over it. Wink

  8. luval says:

Just ordered this morning. Got an e-mail that it’s been shipped already!

  9. luval says:

Off to bed. All three songs are posted on the royal Albert Hall thread. NCOE was outstanding!

  10. Ron says:

luval, we misunderstood what was said during Adam’s Australian interview that turquoisewaters posted.

I listened to it very carefully.

  11. luval says:

Interesting, Ron. Will have to listen again tomorrow.

  12. Kradamour says:

Ron, I have never had a personal stylist before…!
I am definitely considering the batwing – and it is made of rayon, which would feel cool in the July Iowa summer. I went to college in Cedar Rapids, and it could be BRUTAL in the summer.
    Dazed

There’s always a first time and I never thought I’d be thanked for anything having to do with bras.

Adam is all about stretching our abilities!

I still haven’t been able to listen to Underneath all the way through. Perhaps live in concert it will be easier (now that we know Adam intends to sing it on tour). There is just something about the chords, the key…(shakes head)…don’t know. After school ends I will sit in the sunroom and close my eyes and make myself very, very zen and try again to listen to it. After I get through it once, I think it will be easier each time. I literally can’t breathe when I hear it. An astounding piece of music.

The other place to buy a neon yellow sports bra top is (believe it or not) Five Below. Saw them when I was buying my neon yellow nail polish last month for WB. Didn’t seem dressy enough for the Kirby but great for an outdoor venue!

Just want to warn you when we meet each other again at the next Adam concert. Wink

    “Underneath”

    An astounding piece of music.

Yes, a masterpiece of … well, I was going to list all the astounding things about this particular song but the list would be too long.

    Simply put, it’s Adam Lambert.

  15. milwlovesadam says:

Underneath evokes such pure emotion, and is so meticulously performed and the raw emotion he puts forth literally causes a visceral reaction. It feels like somebody you care deeply about is in so much pain, and you can’t do anything to help him. It’s like that aura of his just reaches out to you and needs physical contact. But there is no comfort. The song is just pain.

I do not ever remember a more emotional song.

Except for The First Time Ever I Touched Your Face. That song wrecks me. I can’t listen to it. It hurts too much. I have strong associations with it.

To me, Underneath should be Adam’s Grammy. Hands down.

  16. Ron says:

    Dear mils,

Every word! I couldn’t agree with you more about “Underneath”. You expressed it so eloquently.

“First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” … VERY strong association with that song too!

I think in-person that we, might kinda, sorta get along. Wink

  17. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks to whoever posted the interview with Michael Orland. I loved it. But I wish they had asked him about Trespassing CD, not just NCOE. I would have loved his take on the whole CD. He’s obviously a huge fan.

Those ladies do crack me up at times, unintentionally. They just remind me so much of the NPR sketches from SNL. They are so low key. LOL

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Aawww shucks, Ron. Right back atcha! Smile

  19. Ron says:

    mils!

You made me realize something, which is so rare, because I never realize anything. Wink

Compare the ending of “Mad World” to the ending of “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” musically.

  20. Kradamour says:

Hmmm…TFTEISYF…yes, I can see that as having some of the same element. For me, though, (fortunately!) that song has no associations except dancing on a pool table in a bar on First Avenue after doing too many double shots of vodka. With my best friend’s boyfriend (nothing going on with us!) Right after breakfast at the Country Kitchen across the street…Nothing like vodka shots to wash down a breakfast of sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns.
    Ah, to be young again…
    NOT.
    Dazed Dazed Dazed

    I’m shocked!

    You had a best friend?!

  22. milwlovesadam says:

One more thought about Underneath. For so long, Adam has been our entertainment, our way of having fun here. A way to laugh and express so much that we may not share anywhere else in our real lives. And he is such a positive and cheerful person all the time.

But, in so many ways he knew that his fans wanted to know about the real person Adam is. He made a choice to open himself up and reveal more of himself to us. And, since he comes from a creative and dramatic background, he has used those talents to write a song that truly shows us his dark side, his insecurity, his fear, and by sharing that with us, we can see deeply into him.

And, we all have developed such fondness for him, that we feel that pain deeply. We are OTT. Maybe the casual listener doesn’t feel Underneath like we do. Or, I could be wrong. But, some reviewers have made light of the emotion of Underneath (EW) in a very immature way. As if Adam isn’t allowed to put out such a serious and emotional song because he’s the Glam guy.

    What do you guys think?

  23. milwlovesadam says:

Oh Kradamour, I wish my associations with that song were more like yours!

Now, I have some pool table memories too. But mine involve tequila, limes and Earth Wind and Fire. And “Brick House.”

  24. Ron says:

I wanna buy a pool table.

  25. Kradamour says:

I don’t know, mils. Probably. I hadn’t thought about it in that way.
I don’t know the lyrics to Underneath. I literally can’t hear them because of the music. Maybe that is it – for me the pain that I hear in the voice has gone beyond lyrics to become simply inarticulate animal pain.
And yes, I think I could listen to it if it were not Adam.
But I never, never want to hear anyone else sing it.
And I never, never want to read a review that makes light of it.
Thanks for posing the question mils.

(Ron, you are silly! I enjoyed the chuckle!)

  26. nkd says:

I feel deprived, I totally missed dancing on the pool table days. Wink

Hi Ron, about 12 hours late!
I had to get ready to leave for the day right after I posted and I didn’t see yours.
I see you’ve taken on a new position as ALL stylist. Kewl!!! Laugh

  27. Kradamour says:

I wanna buy a pool table.

Maybe I could visit and we could dance on it, Ron?
    Silly

Maybe a fox trot. Or the Charleston.
    Silly

  28. milwlovesadam says:

And, with that, I must seek my mattress. Eyes closing.

    Ron, your humor is wonderful!

  29. Ron says:

To me, Underneath should be Adam’s Grammy. Hands down.

No one has ever said it better.

Can you imagine … sure you can … Adam singing this song for the first time on the Grammy’s?

  30. nkd says:

Underneath is wrenching to listen to, but so magnificent at the same time. It is truly a masterpiece.
At first, I had wished he had kept the tone of the song quieter and more tender, but the more I listen to it I love the build of the music and his voice. Then right at the end where he pulls it back, I lose it. The tension in my chest that has built up through the course of the song releases, and usually in tears.

  31. Kradamour says:

    G’nite, mils!
    G’nite all peeps!
    Sweet Adam dreams…

I was making reference to the pool table thing and my post was about having an occasional 8 ball in my side pocket but I thought that might come across as vulgar so I deleted it.

I imagine this in my head and how it should be performed every time I hear the song. And I agree with everythig you wrote about it mils

I have to put out a warning here. I have the album on repeat in my car and I am realizing that it is dangerous. I am a very good and careful driver, but I think that Trespassing makes me lose my concentration since I sing along, listen to the words, get carried away, etc. I seem to have had some near misses lately. Yesterday I didn’t notice that a car in front of me had stopped and I had to slam on my breaks hard, or I suddenly noticed that people were getting ready to start crossing in a crosswalk. Nothing has happened, thank goodness. I can’t stop listening and I hope that it becomes it becomes more “background music” but after about 100 listens, I don’t know if that is going to happen.
Anyway, I am aware of this and going to be extra careful, but be warned!

Well, I didn’t dance on tables, but imagine New York, 1970, (I know, I am giving away my age) at the end of the Broadway production of Hair when they invite the audience down to the stage to dance…….Me with waist length straight hair parted in the middle, long dangly earrings, wearing a beautifully embroidered Arab dress dancing away on the stage.
I always said that it was the closest I would ever get to dancing on the Broadway stage. lol

What vivid images to wake up to this morning!! Between the fabulous YouTubes of Adam at Royal Albert Hall, the multiple dances on pool tables back in the day (shocking!…I won’t tell) and then this—

It’s a great start to a great day! Thanks, guys.
