Having wrapped up a short 15-city Festival tour with Queen, Adam isn’t taking much time off. He’s already in Australia filming Season 8 (naturally) of the X-Factor there for broadcast later in the fall. It seems that some episodes are pre-taped in June/July with the live shows starting at the end of September (based on last year’s schedule). That timing works out perfectly as Q+AL can fit in a few Asian shows and Adam can record some new music before he is tied up with the live shows. And we thought that it would be a quiet summer!

I’m a little conflicted about so many references to Adam being Jewish. I know technically he is, but in life he practices no religion now and I fear some may expect more. I guess he will know how to manage expectations especially in Israel.

If I may, in Israel, and really for Jewish people kinda in general, Jewish identity is a big deal. Identifying as Jewish is sometimes more important than practice.
His performing in Israel brings up feelings of pride and identity to Israelis. It’s also just cool that he will be there.
Also, if I may, Adam has said several times that he identifies as Jewish, but isn’t observant.
His mother is Jewish, so technically he is too.
Hope this helps. (( as a member of the tribe, and being married to an Israeli, and having been there many times)).
ETA: Israeli journalists and bloggers will probably state this in every single article and post.

Risky, not at all.most of Israel is secular, or not very observant. Like my husband. The media always , especially Western media, presents the Orthodox on the news. However, most aren’t. Jerusalem is an exception, with many many being Orthodox. QAL will perform in Tel Aviv, a very secular city.
Like I said, him being and identifying as a Jew will likely be a key part of his press in Israel.

riskylady, I swear I read somewhere that the original RHPS used their actors in different parts in the movie to save money. They did this on Seinfeld too and I’m sure on other movies, tv shows, etc.

My partner saw the musical in London and said that it was much different than the movie. Maybe this version is more like the stage production or a mash-up of both.
RHPS is very polarizing. People love it or hate it & walk out on it. Glad Adam only has a small part.

luval no matter how much Brian like the idea about using a Queen song at the democrats convention, he is not going to allow them to use Queen songs either. He once said it in a statement.
A widow’s peak is a V-shaped point in the hairline in the center of the forehead. Hair growth on the forehead is suppressed in a bilateral pair of periorbital fields. Without a widow’s peak, these fields join in the middle of the forehead so as to give a hairline that runs straight across.

Ms Chaos … I was confused as well because the ophtamologist (docter specialised in eye diseases ) told me not to lift heavy things. She saw my laptop bag and my big handbag. As I am very near sighted, she said that the effort of carrying heavy things will elongate my eyeballs even more. Hhhmmm

Risky, let me add one more point, if, and I do say if, there is any protest or negativity about QAL performing in Israel, it will likely be about image and lyrics, not about whether Adam is observant.
Remember the huge fracas about Madonna, and others before performing?
Hope there is no protest hoopla for QAL.
So maybe for ecample in Israel the killer queen act might be subdued ?
I don’t think they would subdue anything. They never have. Adam is always himself. Queen is Queen.
I’m only referring to past “issues” with certain performers in some places.
I hope that it is smooth in Israel for everybody.
