A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

Just reading my hard copy of Billboard about Jason Derulo and his current album.
“Derulo was primed for a splashy entrance on the BB200. What went wrong?It appears that he still has not made the connection with consumers & radio listeners that he is more than the sum of his growing pile of catchy hits. He’s in the same boat as FloRida & Pitbull who regularly generate monster hits but can’t get buyers motivated to purchase an entire album”.
Wish I could bring a link over but there is no link. Basically no one is selling albums although they may have massive singles.

Wow..TOH is catching up with Derulo in album sales.
I don’t know about Pit Bull. He may not sell CD’s but he seems to draw big crowds, which is where the money is.
Jason’s CD only sold in the 20 thousands in it’s first week. It has done awfully well if it is at 109,000 now. That figure must include individual track sales and streaming, yes?
Derulo’s single has sold over a million and he may have another hit coming from that that CD. They say the third single is what sells a CD. It might be a bit early to write him off. The same people will be writing off Adam soon and I’m just not buying it.

I was referencing the BB article about JD not being able to sell CD’s. In the world of declining CD sales it is a bit weird to focus on someone not being able to sell a lot of CD’s at precisely the point where their first single has sold a million plus units and made it to #1 on the big radio charts.

Spotify still won’t let me play Ghost Town. I’ve tried every way I can think of. It lets me play every other song from TOH except GT.

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is doing well..only lurking these days, but keeping up and happy to hear about everyone’s updates and activities. I can’t get the new album out of my head. I am singing to myself all day long, whistling and not just to GT, but TOH, ALN. There are so many songs that I just love and as I continue to spend more time on other cuts, I am finding more everyday. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!

On my iheart radio too but they don’t play Ghost Town…ever. And I request once a day.
I wonder why Adam is doing promo with that 97.3 The Hits station here, when they only play GT between 1 and 6 am. Last play was at 3:27 and 5:27 am. Meanwhile, Y100, an iHeart station, has it at #21 on their playlist (haven’t really listened to see if they play it, but it’s there on their site). Oh, well…..

Can’t understand how anyone would think the Queen + Adam Lambert tour didn’t work [“Dialing Down on the Drama,” June 14]. Millions of seats were filled, millions of dollars made, die-hard Queen fans became Glamberts, die-hard Glamberts became Queen fans … and you say it didn’t work. Oh, guess you mean it didn’t work for you.

I am disappointed too. Wanted my Cumulous stations to jump on GT.
Love Independence Day, it’s one of my all time fave movies, I don’t know why, it’s absolute formulaic cornball feel-good rah rah USA, but, I just love it. It’s one of my “if I’m flipping channels moments and I stumble on it, I end up watching it” movies.
If, and I mean IF, Adam ends up doing the theme song, that would be very nice.
