A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

I’m with the others Ron…hate having my picture taken, especially in the last few years as the weight has crept on……but as you know, I do occasionally post pics of myself on FB, because I know how to do it…..the only real thing stopping me posting pics here is that I don’t know how!!!
As for brothers and sisters, I have one brother in the UK, and one sister in Oz..all of us adopted from different parents…And I have just had my first contact this week with a half sister I didn’t know existed until a couple of months ago, and seen photos of a half brother!!
I’m probably going to regret posting me singing this song for the rest of my life, but at the same time, I’m gonna give it a shot.

I have taken gorgeous photos of most of you who I have met, including ron, risky, HK fan, cwm, TLKC, M, cher, mmm222, adamized, retjenny, northern spirit, LadyNorth, little dutchess, and many more. I post them to those in the shots, but not to those not directly connected. I HATE getting my own picture taken and am completely unphotogenic.
Me, too, mils. Yesterday I went for a long, long walk and somehow The Light ended on repeat. I must have played it dozens of times. It has been my favourite for about a week.
Rumours is nice but that’s about it for me. Sticker info on the CD highlights it but it will have to be a heavily coordinated release (i.e. not necessarily to Adam’s schedule.) For one thing, Tove Lo’s management has probably attached some strings: she won’t want someone else’s single taking her next “spot” on the charts. For another, Hilary Duff’s CD has a duet with Tove Lo and her management is probably trying to figure out what to do (and when) with that.
I really believe that this CD has a lot of amazing singles. If Adam can get to the low teens on the big US charts with something as challenging as Ghost Town, then what can he do with some of these beautiful and catchy songs all on his own?
This must be a very emotional time for you HK fan. I had an adopted roommate many years ago and she had put her name on the registry many years before. In those days, the registry coordinated a slow release of information. On the final morning of connecting there was a flurry of phone calls – she had 6 siblings/half-siblings!!!!!
When she showed me a photo of their mother, I almost fell off my chair – a little old lady with a shopping cart; not the femme fatale you might imagine.
She had an interesting, often happy, and sometimes sad, year. Connecting with long lost brothers and sisters is both wonderful and hard. You could be soul mates; you don’t always have a lot in common. Physical distance can make it difficult but it can also help it work.
Much luck to you in building the bridges to your found family. So glad that you have such a large and wonderful family of your own to support you.

A whole branch of the family on my mother’s side

It reminds me of the only other photo of me that I have ever liked. I decided to have a professional photo taken for a specific reason and the photographer and I almost came to blows…nothing was coming out well, he was frustrated that I was unhappy, I was exasperated and about ready to give up…so I went to sit in a chair while he changed a lens, sitting back to front watching him while leaning on the back of the chair just as I was leaning on the fence at Ste Agathe.
The photographer looked up, grabbed his camera and in ten seconds accomplished what we had been trying to do for an hour.
That was 30+ years ago.
So at this rate, I am due for another good photo when I am about 90.
We successfully beat back One Direction yesterday but now Fifth Harmony is biting at Adam’s heels on the HAC chart.
If you have a chance to throw in 20 or so votes before you start the holiday festivities, by all means….

Aww, thanks everyone, especially your post TLKC. It is rather strange and emotional at the moment….I didn’t find them through the internet as such…went the old fashioned way, through the place I was adopted from. They do the work for you. It was very weird seeing a pic of my birth mother for the first time…..we’re taking it slow on emails at the moment…we’ll see where that takes us.
I have been trying to change my avatar for the last hour to a photo…it just ain’t working…..I get it to the page where you can crop, but there’s nothing to crop…the pic just isn’t loading…just a little square like you see on instagrams when they don’t load properly…

It’s interesting to hear about your siblings! I have one younger brother, we have only one year age difference. But a lot of other differences. He’s computer science engineer, very technology oriented and adventurous. He likes to do extreme things, I love to spend time in peace and quiet (when not listening to Adam) at our countryside cottage, doing outdoors work, enjoying nature, good food, tasty drinks. He doesn’t listen to music, which is my pleasure.
My sympathies to Mid/Western Europe peeps, 37C would kill me. skas, cait, are you still alive?
