A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

Just got my Australian CD signed insert…I wonder how many there were? I ask because it is a real signature, not just a scribble that sorta looks like an A and an L if you squint, like most of his signatures.

Today was a relative cool day with maximum’s of around 30 degrees Celsius (after 37 degrees on Thursday). Tomorrow again will be a very hot day at around 37 degrees.
Luckily I do have air conditioning in my car. My car before this one didn’t have it. Would have been a terrible drive from my own house to my parents today (about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive), but now it wasn’t that bad. Playing some music in the car and hearing Ghost Town again on the chart play.
Ghost Town made it to the top 10 of the Dutch Top 40 today at #10!!! It almost caught up with the highest position of WWFM which reached #7. GT got to #10 on the Mega Top 50 already last week. I’m very curious how much it has risen there this week (WWFM was #8 in that chart in 2010).

Feel so bad for Gelly. She’s such a great fan and a very active supporter of Adam on twitter. I am not sure whether her mother’s passing was unexpected or not but either way it is hard.

I love Adam but the multiple browswers and 45-second videos on loop will have to be done by other fans. I am streaming a shortened Spotify playlist on my computer for about 14 hours a day. If that’s not enough so be it.
I am finally getting into Lucy. The only song on the regular CD that I’m not crazy about is Rumours. I don’t hate or skip it. I just think it’s okay.
I am even in love with Heavy Fire.

Adam has one sibling – a younger brother Neil.
I have one sibling – a younger brother Gary.
In photos, you can see the resemblance between Adam and Neil and that they are related and in the same family.
My brother and I are kind of different in every which way that you can imagine yet we both came from the same mother and father.

Feel the same way that you do about Rumors, TLKC. I remember when it first came out that he was doing a collab with her, people (not here) jumped to the conclusion that this would be the best thing ever! Obviously many love it but I think it’s luke warm for most. maybe I’ll change my mind. I don’t skip it either.
I almost think that like his collab with Bruno (with the writing on NCOE), that it may not have been 100% his choice to do this. Same with accepting that Muse song Soaked. Yes, I know most people love it but it was just meh to me. Have to emphasize this is all MY OPINION!!!! No problem disagreeing with me.

I’ll agree that Rumours wasn’t my fave initially, however, it has grown on me. I just think it will go to radio because of the Tove Lo connection. If it does go to radio at some point, and if it does become successful, then it’s simply win-win.
I am cray-zee for Lucy. I drive to it and tend to speed and yell along with it. Gotta be careful!
My fave this week is The Light. I play it over and over, again, while driving. I just flove it. I don’t know why, but I feel it is a reaction to Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain.
I sing along to There I Said It. Can not get enough of this song. His voice is so pure so emotive, I just melt.
But. Lucy. I need to hear this live. With a longer guitar solo and more play with voice and guitar.
I gifted TOH to one of my workberts last week, and today she initiated a conversation and I showed her the Fault pic above. After she recovered, ( her eyeballs kinda rolled back in her head for a minute ) , she shared that she loves ALN and EITN most. Her 17 year old daughter loves GT and ALN. And asks for TOH to be played whenever they are together in the car.
I gifted the CD to another workbert today and he flipped!! I told him to peel off the disc and see what was underneath, and you should have seen his face! Then I showed him the Fault pic above, and he played it all cool, but, it was in his eyes. He reallllly liked the pic. He kinda stroked my phone for a second. LOL
He said he couldn’t wait to finish work and listen to it. He should be listening right now. I’ll email him soon.
I feel that Lucy should be longer & Rumors should be shorter! I’d really be happy then! Getting to love The Light. And After Hours…my jam right now. It will change tomorrow.

My only thought about my earlier post with my brother was that it might initiate a conversation about brothers and sisters – (in between Adam events) – and photos but I have know that, after all this time, and most of us have met each other face to face, that sharing photos with each other on this blog will never happen.
Through the years, I’ve shared so many photos with you and it would be wonderful if you’d also share some photos too.
Some here agreed to put there names and photos on Facebook but are abhorrent (now there’s a word I seldom use) to do the same here.
Please share your photos, folks! It would be wonderful, not only to know you online, but to be able to see you as well.

It does not surprise me that you have a sibling who has found his own path in such an overt way. That you have in common: fearlessly putting yourself ‘out there’. (Oh, and the ear!)
In my family, there were 3 children. Me (lawyer, dept. store buyer, French teacher, law professor, social/community activist, trained as a master gardener, occasional player of harpsichord, house renovator, I drive a 1987 BMW convertible) – my sister (librarian, shape note singer, big city dweller, wearer of Birkenstocks and voluminous clothing, divorced, doesn’t drive) – and my brother, now deceased, high school diploma only, construction worker, lover of hard rock and awesome bass guitarist, motorcyclist.
Go figure.
Sibling dynamics are very interesting. My two boys provide a lot of research material for me to contemplate…
Re photos, Ron, you were the very first topmost a real photo and I thought you were so brave! And it really set the tone for this blog, I think. I am grateful.
Re a photo of me…actually you posted one of the best ones that there are: on the fence at Ste Agathe. I love that photo. There are very very few photos of me, I dislike the camera and it doesn’t usually like me, either, so we maintain a respectful distance from each other.
It would be nice to see photos of other posters but I understand the reticence. Perhaps there could be another password protected page, like for concert attendance planning, for photos?

I have two brothers. One 5 years older (lives in Australia) and one 6 years younger (lives 300kms away) and we look similar but are totally different in character.
