A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.

Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.

And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

    Hi Cait, Wow, that is hot for your neck of the woods! Sweat We had that kind of weather in April, but now it isn’t so bad. Do you have an air conditioner? I have been in London during heat waves and a lot of the smaller hotels don’t have them. It was terrible. Keep cool and DRINK WATER!

    No wonder Brian and Adam get along so well. They are both such lovely people:

    Brian was a perfect gentleman with the people waiting to speak to him; he was presented with a beautiful book by some of the guys who had collected together pictures of the QAL tour and seemed really touched by this.

    And, of course, I love hearing what he has to say about Adam. I bet he misses him even though he knows that Adam is doing what he has to do now.

    I was lucky enough to get a minute or two to chat with him, and I was able to tell him that I was the person who’d played Lucy on the radio a few days ago (my Twitter and FB pals will know about this, as it caused quite a few tweets over the weekend. I do community radio and on our Saturday afternoon show I put Lucy on the playlist. I’m pretty sure we were the first UK station to play it, which was something of a coup). He remembered that instantly, which also really surprised me, so he must have been really pleased the song had got some airtime. He was holding my hand at that point, which was incredibly distracting!

    Brian asked me what I thought of Adam’s voice and was very quick to tell me what a marvellous singer he thinks he is; he really lit up when he was talking about him. I also had the opportunity to tell him that I write this blog and that I’ve always loved Queen’s music because I have a classical background.

    And doesn’t this sound like someone we know?

    Brian is very attentive and listens intently; he engages with every single person he speaks to and is completely charming. He has an astonishing aura; when he is playing or addressing an audience he is truly dazzling and when you stand next to him, you become aware that he is a beautiful soul. You feel as though you are the only person in the room when he speaks to you and he is a perfect gentleman.

    Apparently, Adam had a party and some of his guests took pics. There doesn’t seem to be anything embarrassing happening but Chunkey has tweeted a suggestion that the boys were underage.

    My deleted post was a response to rs‘s, as we refer to it, “Bold fail” in her previous comment.

    I tried to explain that it’s not always the poster who has made a mistake but instead … it’s the blog’s fault!

    To show how things should appear after you click on “B” to bold a word/sentence, then click on “B” again to complete it, I used the actual symbols for angle bracket and back slash and it turned out looking like hieroglyphics and so I had to delete it.

    I’ll try again but this time I’ll spell it out. 99% of the time clicking on “B”, typing the word/sentence, then clicking on “B” again works. But, there are occasions when it doesn’t and here’s the reason why, instead of one word or a sentence, everything that you type appears in bold.

    When you click on “B”, you should see before the word/sentence (with no spaces or dashes): angle bracket left – strong – angle bracket right. Then, the word/sentence. After the word/sentence, it should be: angle bracket left – back slash – strong – angle bracket right.

    Is that clear or is that about as clear as mud? Laugh

    The back slash is key. If it appears in the angle brackets before the word/sentence that you want to bold, that’s incorrect and everything that’s typed afterwards will be in bold print.

    It doesn’t happen often when I click on “B” but when it does I simply delete the back slash in front of the word/sentence, type it in after the word/sentence, putting it where it belongs.

    So there’s your lesson for today. Study it because I’m going to quiz you on it later.

    Cait1602 oh dear, what a heat !! Guess you are sweating together with skaschep…. Those temperatures you mention , can be found at my place in the “south east” of the globe. Then again, my car has airconditioning… no idea if cars in Germany have aircon. don’t think so I guess…

    Usually it is not really that cool here in my place in the early July morning at 6 am… but now it is… 24 degrees C/72 F according to my thermometer in the early morning… or maybe I am just getting old.. hehehe..

    A very close friend of mine who is gay has a new opinion on Adam. He is very conservative, HATED the makeup. I sent him GT and TOH from GMA and he e-mailed me back that he thought Adam looked so much better and loved the music! That is a 180 degree switch from what he thought in the past.

    No worries.
    I think Adam is lonely, though. Who wouldn’t be? Traveling all over, sleeping in hotels, far from the people he cares about and who genuinely care about him, and knowing that they are moving on with their lives while socially (not professionally) he is in a holding pattern.
    The times that he has said he is dating his album are sometimes said with just a shadow of wistfulness.
    At 33, he must also feel on the upper end chronologically of what his more casual social life has been for years. How to navigate a transition to…what?
    Adam has also said that he has made a conscious choice to let the relationship element stay on the back burner while he promotes his album and career, but he has to at some times think about the relationship clock ticking.
    If the album brings him the success that he so richly deserves, then it will be worth it. My dream for him is that there be a serious relationship between GT and album #4, with someone who will understand and adapt to the rigors of promotion and touring, but not not be just an Adam lap dog. Someone with a strong identity and career in his own right.

    ron, I usually highlight the part of the post that I want to bold, quote, delete, etc. and then just click on what I want to do. I find it easier than clicking before and after the quote.

Geez, back in 1956 I was still in HS and just 18 and going to clubs and after hours jam sessions with fellow teens and musicians. Nowadays, I can only imagine.
    She is extremely judgemental about fans too – was disparaging the Japanese Glamberts’ album launch party with others of her ilk.

    ITA, riskylady. Any number of girls I went to high school with managed to get backstage and into clubs where they shouldn’t have been. I was envious. It is thrilling to get the attention of your favourite singers and artists (don’t we know it!). I doubt the kid thought he was posing a problem for Adam with the photo and, if Adam was worried about the situation or the optics, he wouldn’t have posed for pictures or he would have asked them not to post them.

    Some of Chunkey’s tweets were downright insulting. And way too assuming!

    You would think, from the way she is going on now, that she wasn’t one of the people who over-reacted.

    The Japanese Glamberts are in good company, BTW. She disdains almost everybody.
