A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

ultimathule, @gelly thinks it was done in NY last month…same clothes as B&N. As far as why Hilton, maybe he or Hicklin were staying there and just used it as a base for the interview. Wonder if that’s his “schtick”…using a hotel bed for interviews?

That Boise mag spread is great, but it is literally taken quote for quote from other interviews. There’s no time to do such a lengthy interview with every magazine and radio station and newspaper. At least they did their research and were quite respectful. It’s all good.
ETA: It’s a syndicated article. So, he did do the interview once, and then it is re-printed in other outlets.

Hi guys! I never thought I would catch up and I probably really haven’t but I needed to jump in and say how excited I am about all the good things happening in Adam’s world. GT getting great adds and pushing its way into the top 40 and all the amazing promo to come in AU.
Love love love the bedtime stories even with the big AH Hicklin. I hope that karma bites him in the ass and he is left with a great big unrequited crush after the time in bed with Adam.
He is even more beautiful in bed than I had envisioned. My goodness he is amazingly comfortable even in the most awkward of situations.

Adam got 1 more Top40 add today making it 18 for the week. He also got 1 Canada HAC add and 2 Canada Main AC adds. Niiice!
I saw Bessie a couple of times at home on HBO. It’s very well done, great costumes and period sets, acting? So-so. IMHO. And the screenplay was choppy, it made the viewer guess what what happening, the story didn’t flow well. I had to go to Wikipedia to figure out the missing pieces.
I had a long conversation about it with my fabulous workbert, and he told me that he knew that the story was “protected” by Bessie Smith’s family, and couldn’t be told with all the “pieces” because of that.
Anyway, we both thought that it would end up nominated for Emmy’s for at least costume and staging.
Also had a long talk about the lesbian scenes, and LGBT issues that were just right out and open in the film. We were both surprised that it had these scenes, being a period piece. He used the term “post-gay.” I’m so proud he’s my friend.

That Australia Tour news is exciting. Usually a nz show or two is tacked on. Here’s hoping.
Yesterday was made for sweet dreams sparkle – Adam in pyjamas in the morning, in bed in the afternoon and with Ricky Martin in the evening. Hard to top that.
Adam has found tour promoters in OZ!!!!! His management must be looking for ways to extend that to other countries. Gaaaahhhh! I wish that GT was doing better in Canada. In the case of GN, we had to settle for a radio festival in an outdoor venue with terrible sound. No tour promoters came forward.
Wish I had the resources to make a trip to OZ and NZ in January!! That’s warm/hot weather then, right, Kiwi?

You got that right, TLKC! Been thinking a lot about my family’s wonderful trip to Toronto last July and meeting you, Ron and all the other marvelous Toronto ALL’ers. Watched my Phillies beat the Blue Jays last night – pretty amazing for them!
FYI, Aaron Hicklin was featured in the NYT this past weekend. He has created a “pop-up” book shop, stocked completely with “Top Ten” favourite books, as listed by a host of his famous friends. The over-riding idea is that each selection will operate as a bio of the celebrity in question. There are some genuinely pretentious people participating but it is not completely outside the realm of possibility that he will ask Adam to provide a list of his own.
He has said that Kavalier & Clay is his favourite novel and he is a great reader, so you never know.
You aren’t too far from Toronto, are you, sparkle? Any chance of your joining the TO Glamberts for a get-together this Fall? luval is going to come up for at least one of them.
ETA: missed the Phillies/Blue Jays reference the first time around sparkle. Methinks the Blue Jays will be around for a good, long time this season. Maybe you guys can come up for the play-offs?

TLKC – I’m about 7 hours away. Hubby and I would love to come up to Toronto again. Keep me updated on any TO Glambert Get-Togethers, although my youngest will be playing volleyball all season so it might be tough to squeeze a trip in. September is definitely out – maybe October/November?
Is it my imagination or does Ricky look slightly drunk in both of the Voice pics we have seen with Adam? He is a hands-on Dad to his kids and he probably doesn’t get to party much. Here’s betting the Voice gives him a chance to breakout a bit.
