A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.

Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.

And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

    luval– I have heard Adam talking frequently about how everything fell into place with Queen at the iHeart show in Las Vegas. I remember how you and I really sensed that while we were watching the show. I had only seen the Hammersmith shows on video, but the transformation was so apparent to me. It was an incredible show. We were so lucky to be there. (Not to mention all the fun we had checking out the casinos and stuffing our faces on Luxor bread pudding, among other things.)

    So much is happening for ERA 3, and it’s great to see Ghost Town’s continued rise in the charts, and in particular to see Adam begin to take his place with other pop stars, and be recognized as a peer.

    I’m afraid I’ve become ensnared back at Morongo – in love with “Wicked Game”, a song I always liked was just taken to another level, but I think I really lost it about the time Adam draped his arm over the mic stand during “After Hours”. It reminded me how amazed I would be at his performance abilities on Idol – always doing the unexpected, perfect thing that drew you in. Of course he has always done that, before Idol and beyond, but this just took me back to my own Adam “Original High” for some reason. Grin

    This ERA is so great .. and Adam is in a good hand of Warner Brothers. He has worked so hard and so well deserved it.

    I still can’t believe I’m still here goo goo gah gah after him since Idol.
    During Idol he amazed me that he made all the songs HIS. He adamized them. And I loved most of his cover songs more than the original ones.

    Agree with you … Adam is my Original High!

    Reverse for me – probably because I saw Hammersmith in person and iheart on YouTube. Nothing beats Adam live.

    I understand what Adam is saying. It fell in place for QAL as a band and who would know better than he would?

    As an audience member, I felt the magic of those UK performances, which had a tightrope quality. Adam: so boyish, excited and new to the music. The audience: half “show me” and half wanting to throw themselves into a pub sing-along (which they eventually did in full throat.)

    Adam singing barefoot, Adam with split pants, Adam in his Elmo jacket. Trust me, the kid had it together. He just didn’t know it.

    The iHeart concert was professionally shot. The sound, vocals and band are truly magnificent. Hammersmith is all home-made. Honestly, it was awesome.

    I agree with you TLKC. As fabulous and polished the LV and QAL concerts were, there was something so very special about seeing Adam and Queen live at Hammersmith, their first UK shows. Along with his wonderful renditions of the songs, Adam was such a fanboy, on his knees bowing to Roger and Brian. They were all so excited to see how things were coming together, and the Queen fans, who had no idea what to expect were won over and blown away by Adam.

    And, of course. it was the first time I met so many of you ALL, including HK fan and too many others to mention. WAs that the only time that HK fan met any of us?

    No, TLKC…not a Cumulus station. That’s that Elvis Duran iheart station where I request but never hear it. Lately, though, they’ve been playing it more often. I got an alert at 6-ish this morning that they’d be playing it. But I’m at work by then so couldn’t hear if they’ve really played it.

    The cumulus station here is 93.1. WNTQ. It’s the top station here in Syracuse, NY

    eta: a couple of people on twitter say they get alerts that it will be played then it’s never played. Happened to me a couple of times.

    I would love that of course. Since that will mean he’ll come to the Netherlands as well again. He’ll probably do some rehearsing with Queen in the UK in that period as well since the’ll be heading to Brazil for the concert September 16th. So I’m not sure if there is much time. August 22nd he’s in California for that Beach volleyball gig. Busy bee again.

    IKR One person in particular who calls everyone out on twitter for telling Adam and his team what to do, is bitching up a storm today.

    He needs to do promo all over the world, GT is doing better in many places than it is here.
