A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.

Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.

And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

    Yes, asif, he saw the Adam fanaticism/fascination firsthand. Poor fellow went to the Meet and Greet only to find himself at the back of a very long line. Apparently lots of people took off work to go line up. Same thing for the concert venue. When he got there it was pretty crowded and when Adam was about to come on, the crowd surged toward the stage and guess who got shoved pretty far back. He said people followed/chased Adam the whole time and at the end, Adam seemed in a rush to leave. He left the stage, went straight toward the parking lot with lots of people chasing after him. Says he thinks he was rushing to catch a flight maybe. Said Adam will probably get free ads on itunes and other Apple freebies as part of his payment. He also said he took two shaky vids because people were jostling him and he was kinda far back but he really enjoyed the short performance.

    Thanks for all the support and encouragement re: baking. I have taken down your pastry recipe HK fan and will try it next week, when I will be baking a pie for a family get-together. (It was an apple pie; very fitting as it happens.)

    I decided not to expose Ron, Sleepwalker1877 and angelowal to the pie. It is sitting in the fridge, awaiting garbage day.

    It was wonderful to see angelowal yesterday. She is back on her feet after her pneumonia and was thrilled to finally receive the Get Well card and CD signed by Adam.

    Was listening to TOH on my run this morning. Suppose it could be possible in lieu of payment that Adam gets some sort of Apple connected possibilities.

    Maybe the song TOH but I couldn’t envision any of the others being a background in product placement. Now After Hours would be perfect for a car commercial. Does Apple make cars? Smile

    Hope Apple’s team might be working on something.

    Things that make you say hmmmmmmm: two songs on TOH refer to radio.

    The line “turn on the radio” in ALN suggests radio can be a consolation.

    “Listen to the radio then I let it go” from These Boys portrays radio as a relaxer, a way to get over the minor “stuff” that gets you down.

    “The Light” as a source of inspiration could work for Apple.

    In terms of imagery, I think of “The Light” as a far off dot of brightness that you are getting closer and closer to; the light at the end of the tunnel. It make a great winter song; you know that moment on a dark winter morning when you are scraping the ice off your windshield before you make the trip to work. The pulsing rhythm is energizing at a moment when you really need it.

    Forgot to mention we went to see Sir Ian’s movie “Mr. Holmes” yesterday. Hubby btw is a huge Holmes fan and collector, and trivia expert. Well, he loved the premise and the movie and so did I! It’s wonderful and soooo well acted, with the lovely Laura Linney and yet another great English child actor.
    AND added bonus – we emerged alive and unscathed Pain Yes
