A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

I can’t remember.
Morning ALL, I just reread my last post and realized that it could be understood that I was saying that the posts here were what was making me feel guilty. I want to clarify that it was all in my own head and I am certainly not blaming anyone else here. I was just seeing all this info about how streaming on spotify, etc. could help Adam’s rankings and I was feeling very frustrated that I couldn’t participate. I played the GT YouTube when I thought of it, bought TOH on iTunes, at a store here and through AO. With shipping, each CD was over $20. I am not buying lots of albums because I have no one here to gift them to (I still have multiple copies of FYE and Trespassing). But was I doing enough? So when I saw that I could buy the remixes I was happy that I could do something more. Then I tried downloading the free remix but it didn’t accept a nonAmerican address! When I finally downloaded it through Facebook and started listening, I hated it! The beginning was soooo jarring. So that is where I was coming from, feeling very frustrated. Of course I want our dedicated Peeps to continue to post ways to help Adam! I just have to let it go and be satisfied with what I can do from here.
And it bothers me when I hear that TOH isn’t doing well. It is as if they have already decided that it will go the way of Trespassing, critically acclaimed but not commercially successful. It is all a matter of expectations. Adam is happy, doing what he loves, pleased with what he is producing, and making a very good living doing it! If the damn radios aren’t playing it enough or if the kids who love the mindless autotuned crap that passes for popular music today aren’t connecting with it, well, that is their loss and they don’t deserve Adam.
That is all I wanted to say. I must go, RL is calling very loudly.

I missed the Houston show but made it to the Dallas show on the 10th last year. I can’t believe it’s been a year since NA QAL.

Well, it finally happened. There’s a first time for everything. You remembered asif but I … completely forgot! In 38 years, it’s never happened before today.
Now … you’d think that I might have been tipped off that something special must be going on when I woke up this morning and found a perfect red rose on top of my laptop. This is not an everyday occurrence. Usually I don’t find roses sitting on top of my computer in the morning!
But instead, bewildered, I carried it out into the living room where Gil was having his coffee and asked, “What’s this?”
When he said, (with a big smile) “Happy Anniversary”, I wanted to go through the floor!
I’m glad that he thought it was funny.

Dear rs, hard to believe but it was a year ago today. I was so happy to have you here and for you to be a big part of that evening and, of course, TLKC.
If I could turn back time, I would and we’d do it all over again. Being with you was what made it a lovely evening.
Awww, I’m loving the good tweets and press for QAL AND Adam himself in Spanish and Portuguese. And the top two radio stations in Mexico City and Monterrey have added GT. One thing I learned about Latins in my 20 years living in Nicaragua: They looove a great voice!

Hi guys , I’m just finished reading the angsty stuff from the last day or so, and I gotta say, I’m glad it has blown over.
Let me just express how much I appreciate everyone here, as people, as fans and as tech wizards. TLKC, asif, ulti, you guys bring so much here, you find stuff, you post info, that I would never in a million years be able to find. Kudos. And a many many thanks.
I don’t stream, I don’t spotify or shazam, I don’t understand it. As it is , I sneak my phone at times at work and risk being written up. I need to be more careful in the future. Seriously. I don’t tweet, and I’m not on Facebook. Much to the chagrin of many friends and family.
I watch You Tube vids, I vote in polls, I bought, count ’em, 15 deluxe CD’s. I have gifted several of them. I don’t call radio stations or send them messages.
I think that anyone who has time, tech savvy, and patience to do these things is helping Adam. However, as glambot said, so well, we can’t make this happen for him, it needs to happen on it’s own.
We, and I do mean WE, ( I have been put in my place in the past for using the word “we” as in, speaking for others ), in general, not everyone, but as a trend for some of us, we, tend to get a tad Debbie Downer at times about the difference between what we want to happen and what is really happening.
We tend to pick ourselves up and get our forward motion back quite well.
As for me, I’m a bit sad or disappointed that the album isn’t top 10. That GT isn’t top 10. That Adam isn’t on top. However, he is a household name, has huge recognition, the album is critically acclaimed, and virtually anyone who has listened to it has loved it.
I’m reminding myself of the positives:
He has been or will be on almost every major talk show. He is on VH1’s countdown almost every week. People had him featured for Mother’s Day and a positive album review, and top 10 things to listen to /watch piece. Rolling Stone featured him in a half page article when they had Freddie and Queen as the feature story. RS also had a full column about his Swedish connections, and a 3 star review.
Okay, so EW has been bitchy, but, we know that Slezak loves him, so who knows.
Michelle Collins, has done several interviews with him, and she was at NewNowNext, and seems to be a supporter of LGBTQ issues overall. I missed her on the View with the topic TLKC was mentioning, but, I would hope that she would have Adam on. I would love to see him co-host on Man Day Friday. That would be a hoot.
When he starts the international promo of the album he keeps referring to, that will be keeping him busy until December, we will have more interviews and more fun promo to watch and drool over, and more QAL , and more one-offs.
Not to mention, I really do think WBR will push Rumours out to radio with a great video. Many of us have been saying for years now that a great duet could be the real jump-start to his career. This may just be it.
And don’t forget all the magazine covers and photo-shoots. Holy Crap. They kill me.
One day after the pic up top of our thread came out, my workbert friend and I were ogling drooling and fangirling a bit at it,and another co-worker came in to our room, and saw it, and said, “Wow, who is that?” We just looked at her, and simultaneously asked “who do you think it is?”
She said, I don’t know, but he’s HOT! We said, Adam. And her jaw dropped, she really doesn’t like him, his voice, his looks, and lets it be known. But. This pic got even her.
She thinks Steven Tyler is sexy. Go figure.
As for me, I’ll be here, lurking and posting and enjoying every savory morsel I can. As I have for 6 years now. I’m glad he has some down time now at home to rest, relax and enjoy his friends. I’m sure he’s working a bit, but, love hearing that he’s listening to music and going out to clubs and seeing movies. As he should. I hope his creative juices are flowing, and that he is mingling safely.
I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for a midwest show. My casino here is a great venue. Also, the theater where he played GN. Hint. Hint.

mils Ditto for me…love your post! And I am so grateful to those of you (you know who you are!) who devote so much time bringing us at ALL so much information and pictures and interviews and clips etc. and keep us up to date. So much that as some have said it’s sometimes hard to keep up with. Behind the scenes those who lurk or semi-lurk do what they can to help our boy(Spotify runs 24/7 on 2 separate accounts at my house). We stream, we vote, we buy, we request…the list goes on. Each of us does something or a lot of things individually; combined it really is impressive. We’re doing our part but we can’t maneuver everything. What will be, will be. Meanwhile, I am so happy for the joy Adam brings to my life. The past six years have been so enriched. And it’s been a pleasure sharing the ups and downs with all of you. No matter what, it’s been fun. And the journey continues… Now where’s the latest poll and when will I find my OUT magazine?
