A very exciting past month for Adam – and for ALL of us, as well. Events from Chatty Man to Live Aid to Fallon to GMA to Trailblazers – and the interviews so numerous they became hard to keep track of. In addition, more beautiful photos including the stunning FAULT magazine with a more “uncovered” Adam than we’re used to seeing. Then, all through the later part of the month the watching for the Adds on radio/Spotify/Shazam/VH1, etc., and the resultant confusion about what should be done to make it happen.
Congrats to Adam for The Original High debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 albums sales chart. He may not have been number one but the album is getting good reviews and promotion is going well. The single, Ghost Town, is slowly moving up the HAC, CHR and AC charts. To top it all off, though, was the gay marriage ruling which must have given Adam, considering all he’s been through and all he’s done for the cause, immense gratification and happiness.
And onto July…summer may be vacation time for most but to Adam it will be more TV and radio promotion with some special performances thrown in – Splashion, The Trevor Project – and more.

As odd as it may seem I really enjoyed the posts on the previous page regarding what to do or not to do about “everything”. It was kinda like a back door “pep talk” for me. I’m not going to feel guilty about not buying, streaming, voting, etc. Although I do stream GT video. Easy to do that. It really does have to happen outside of the bubble. And from twitter it seems like it is yet very slowly. Enjoyed that article about all the streaming services. May they all crash & burn!
And I admit to not liking mixes…of any kind. Have said it in the past. But I’ll buy them. Under ten bucks on itunes is nothing. I spend way more for coffee every week.
The best part of this whole “trip” is getting to meet, know & enjoy the company of wonderful people here!
Am not going to have anymore angst. If it happens it happens & I so want it to happen for this lovely talented man. I’ll enjoy his crazy ass, his next fashion choice, his singing with Queen. I’ll do what I can and laugh all the way home.

I don’t know why anyone would feel guilty about anything related to Adam. We are all fans and nothing is required except to be fans.
If it has anything to do with what I am posting then I will stop. I really like the info and strategies that they provide on adamtopia, which is why I have been bringing it over, but I certainly don’t think anyone should do or buy anything they don’t want to.

I just made a conscious decision, close to the start of all this, to buy the album and singles but not to agonize over it. Trespassing’s reception was a disappointment, and I agonized over it. I am not going to do that this time.

After I posted, I felt a little guilty about sounding frustrated and down…came back to lovely posts from nekkid and glambot and luval….
TLKC, I second (third? Fourth?) the wish that you not stop bringing over the information you have been providing. It is informative and helpful, whether or not a specific fan will act on it (and we also have lurkers who might benefit, could be looking for just that kind of information).
The point made that the bubble alone cannot provide the success that Adam so richly deserves is entirely accurate.
Each of us can just do what we can do (and we’re ‘doing it beautifully’), and cross our whatsits and wait.
I don’t understand the concept of remixes. It seems pretty presumptuous to basically say “you made this song but I can improve it, so there!”
OTOH, it does bring more attention to the original song, and I guess that is why artists don’t complain.
I have yet to like an Adam remix, but I try to keep an open mind.
I just don’t get it.

Thanks for that proof, AL. Even though I listened to it live, I didn’t believe they were playing it.
I’ve liked some of the remixes on Adams songs…the IIHY one, and the Aftermath one, for example. Haven’t really listened to the GT ones yet.
I’ve been doing what I can to help with the sales figures. Being in Canada, it doesn’t impact the numbers too much but I’ve been streaming with Spotify and playing the video when I’m at my computer (which is almost all the time).
Warner Brothers would not have invested big money on Adam and Max Martin if they did not feel that they could make a profit somehow. We all know that album sales are down for all but a few. We, as fans of Adam, have created a base for his success. Now it’s time for the record companies to do their part. Adam is doing his with all those interviews and such. It’s a slow process and I’m crossing all my whatsits along with kradamour to see what happens.

Just watched the huffpostonline video interview…I am a stickler for watching to the very end, so glad I did…Adam had a little bounce to his walk as he went through the left border of the screen, it made me smile.
Overall okay interview, I thought, but the gay questions are getting really, really tiresome. When I hear them, I assume the interviewer has paid no attention to Adam since Idol. Bleah.

Guys, while GT went down on the BB Hot 100 from #77 to #85, The Original High album moved up on the BB 200 albums chart from #74 to #65.
Right now though, GT is moving up on iTunes, currently at #88. The remixes are up now.

All the posters make up what we are here. Nice, kind, friendly, funny, crazy, caring, respectful, and informative.
I like atop and go there for a lot of information too. Their format for the forum is different and I can see photos, videos, IG, and twitters from the pages without having to click them to open more tabs.
But that place is so big (has more posters and more international) that it’s hard to catch up.
I’m only lurking there … too shy to post.
I feel more at home and I’m loving all the posters here.

Speaking of the weather … the past weeks we got lots of storm and tornado alerts.
Last Tuesday we had to go down the basement because of a tornado was coming … It touched down near us.

Just found out I spent all my iTunes gift card on Adam’s GT and TOH album already.
I’ll get the remix GTs tomorrow then.
I only do 3 things for Adam daily … and I don’t feel guilty or shame.
1) Stream Spotify
2) Stream Amazon Prime Music
3) Play GT official music video
And buy lots of TOH CDs from various stores the first week. Then buy one CD here and there once in a while. I didn’t order any magazine … will get some if Barnes & Noble have them.
I don’t have any item that got signed by Adam. I never get to be close to him than seeing him from far away at the concerts I attended.
One of these days … I hope!
