With Adam out on tour with Queen, the main chat threads are relatively quiet but we still need a place where we can discuss all things Adam that are not Q+AL concert-related. However, I did choose a Q+AL+Band photo for this month’s thread since there are many great Adam photos and mlg posters in the concert threads for everyone to drool over. And after all, it is the summer of Queen + Adam Lambert!!

    ‘Morning! Back from NYC and have working on the 28th. Talked with Ron this morning and we are planning a dinner for the night of the concert at O&B restaurant, probably at 4:30 pm. The restaurant is very close to the ACC and has a dinner-in-the-round room. We will all get to talk about discovering Adam or the blog or WHATEVER as part of the evening.

    We also have considerable beverages left over for our July 13th soiree and are looking for someone to host the after-party which will be our last hurrah for this tour/this year. I will put more details on the planning thread later today. Grin Grin Grin

    Got home just in time. Flights to Israel have been cancelled and my driver told me about previous clients who were in a flight that circled the airport for 20 minutes because there was a missile attack toward the airport that the Iron Dome shot down. They were, understandably, nervous wrecks until they landed. I understand the thinking behind the airline’s decisions, but still, it is a victory for hamas when they can cause something like this too happen. I walked into my apartment building and saw my neighbor who said that the bomb shelter is open in case we need it. Still, Jerusalem is probably the safest city here. Don’t misunderstand the situation, life goes on as usual, just with more vigilance and with more worry about the kids who are in the army and putting their lives in danger to keep us safe.

    After the fabulous vacay and three Queen shows with all the wonderful get-togethers with my Glambert friends as well as family, I have come back to a war zone. Too surreal to comprehend.

    Sorry to bring a serious note to this joyful blog, but since I know so many of you personally, I thought you would want to know…

    Very glad you have some wonderful shows and meetings to look back on. I can’t imagine how it would be to live in Israel.

    rs– I’m so glad to see that you made it home safely. I was especially concerned about you when I read this morning that all US flights to Isreal have been cancelled “indefinitely”. You left just in the nick of time. Stay safe and look at your wonderful photos of Adam and your crazy friends when you need a break from the real world. Our thoughts are with you.

    rs: I cannot tell you how sad the situation in Israel makes me. My impression is always that there are 98% good people on both sides that just want to live their lives and raise their families, and they are getting hijacked by 2% extremists with their irrational agendas.     I’ll be quite interested to see what MJ has to say about tonight’s show. I have noticed that she, while always an admirer of Adam’s talent, has lightened up a bit since she isn’t “policing” people at her blog on concert threads.

    She still is at work banning people, etc, on threads that contain Adam info, concert stuff, etc. However, she does have a nice share of Adam threads, and includes him in a lot of “news.

    Like I said, it will be interesting to read her take on the show.

    I have been voting like crazy!! When I started Adam had 49.91%
    Now it is 50.1 %. Got to go back, since there isn’t dinner. Will look at video’s later. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
