‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    Thanks Miss Chaos! I’ll add you to the list. I didn’t know much about web pages either but know a little more now. Hosting a concert thread involves learning some stuff but it’s not that complicated. I’ll be happy to go over it with you should I need help in the future.

    Thanks so much Kradamour and nkd! You’re added to the list. Four helpers should be plenty as long as we all don’t go to the same concert in the future. So it’s good to have East Coasters, West Coasters, Northerners and Southerners! We’ll have all parts covered!

    Love to give you a hand, AL – and a foot, too, if needed. But it looks like you’ve got a strong lineup right now – and I’d probably need more training than the more skilled here.

    Good news from cos2mwiz – who put up those two great vids from ATT – will be at Paso with better – more centered – seats and hopes to get good vids.

    I’m retired, empty nest, and I’m here most of the time. No fat chance to go to any concert with you guys. So I’ll hold the fort.

    The Chinese fans were talking on Weibo about “how to get Adam to shave” and Gillette saw it retweeted it then said he could use their razor to shave. A joke but funny they picked that up.

    Gaga looks beautiful. Her rendition of the SSB was beautiful (except for her changing the words to suit her cause…if everybody did that…sports arenas, etc. there would be a backlash). Anyway, she has a lovely voice, seems to come naturally & with little effort, no straining…unlike K. Perry and some others out there IMO.

    Will have to think about the nominations, mils. I know IIHY with Adam holding that note at the beginning is jaw dropping. So many choices!

    btw I just came in from 1 hour of yardwork. So much rain here everything is overgrown. And of course I haven’t even looked at it for 4 years! Smile

    I got the impression from Brian May’s tweets overall that the collab with Psy is just HIM, Brian May, not Queen. Brian does a lot of collabs like that. He did mention that Psy is a Queen fan and knows a lot about them, but I still think the collab is just with Brian, similar to his collab with Gaga and others.

    I had NO idea what I was doing but it was fun trying to put it together.

    I was very precise as to when the photos would change in time with the music. That took a lot of note taking and a lot of care.

    So, damn it all, uploading it to YouTube didn’t transition well for some reason and it’s imprecise and not nearly the way that the original looks. The last note and the last image end together. But not in this version.

    Oh, well … it was still fun.

    I’m going to use the first photo for the cover of my CD. Laugh
