‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    It has “Stangers In The Night”. I’ll see what the arrangement is like and if I can learn it.

    Ron …. Have you tried SingSnap? It’s a very nice site and can be free or paid depending on how many songs you want to save. Huge collection of songs to choose from.

    To my surprise, people do seem to like this one.

    I have a problem with my singing. I don’t like the tone and that kind of negates everything. Laugh I just don’t think that it’s a pleasant sound.

    If there’s any improvement now it’s the new microphone that allows me to be more nuanced and have better phrasing.

    Yes. I’m a free member on SingSnap and it has a much larger catalog than where I participate on Redkaraoke.

    Problem for me with SingSnap is that you can’t upload and save your videos. They remain on the site.

    One is able to do that on Redkaraoke and provides direct links to upload a video to Facebook or YouTube.

    You CAN upload them on SingSnap … but you have to pay for them.

    I will never forget my arrival at Spawatel…I was so tired! I arrived alone, having left Adamized with Ceddies at their hotel, and was walking up to the deck and was a little intimidated by the swath of stairs before me…and someone was standing on them saying “Kradamour!” with open arms and it was Nekkid! and I went up to the deck and chatted with … jlurk and eywflyer, I think, but it was all getting hazy as I met so many new people! and was wondering where you were, because I was so looking forward to meeting you there! and I went in to dress for dinner – I am always slow at that, but finally was ready – and went down to the restaurant….and there you were! with about a thousand other people! It was very daunting, but somehow you knew who I was when I entered and introduced yourself and made a lovely apology – totally unnecessary! – for not being able to provide me with a kir royale. And you were charming and gorgeous, just as I imagined you. And it was just what I needed to cure my shyness and enable me to find my place at dinner and enjoy the splendid evening, with Nekkid and her lovely daughter across from me and TLKC on my left and lots of other wonderful peeps all about.
    I was so grateful for your warm welcome!
    How I would love to repeat that experience in that place!
    It is unfortunate that the mayor bankrupted the town with his plan for the music festival and it will never happen again…but for one bright weekend it was our Ste Agathe / Brigadoon!

    Ulti, I married in 1984 and I Need a Hero and Let’s Hear it for the Boy were the first songs played at my reception followed by the now iconic Celebrate Good Times. I loved the original Footloose movie and have loved Kevin Bacon since then. I was not that much into the disco music but these two songs were very appropriate at the time. They were just fun.
