‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero

Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.

For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

    IMO Adam should have absolutely no association with this film. He’s not a Freddiewannabe and should not be known as one. All these types of films are usually flops to start with, and all the crazies will be out in full cry.
    Treat it like the plague, baby.

    I would still like to see Adam on AI, although maybe as a full time mentor instead of as a judge….but I’ll take either.
    I want him on my TV every week being himself, so that everyone can get to know the gorgeous man we know….but I don’t want to have to read the crap that would be written about him each week either.
    I really don’t want to see JHUD on there, there is just something about her I don’t like.

    hkfan Totally agree. I think Adam would be a better mentor and could really help the boring show turn into a fun and exciting show. IF, big IF, they let him run with it and not just sit in a chair like Jimmy did and do nothing for the contestants. (I assume he did the same thing this year) I want them to make it more about the contestants preparing, picking the song, arrangement, staging, costumes the whole performance and how they grow and learn than hearing a bunch of people that just say “beautiful” or “it didn’t work”.

    That is where Adam shines.

    Ron I am so very happy to see you singing, your new hair and beard colors, and to see you being appreciated for the warm and wonderful person you are with such a beautiful gift. This fandom is amazing.

    I have mixed feelings about the Freddie biopic. While I agree with virtually everything posted here, I do still think there could be a role in the movie for Adam, either vocally or in acting. I just don’t see him as Freddie. Sasha not only looked so much like him he could be plausible in the role, but, is also a much better actor.

    I do see Adam as a guest at one of Freddie’s famous parties and as helping with fill-in vocals. Remember Bo_Rap at the concerts when he was “dueting” with Freddie? It was very hard to tell who was who.

    I totally totally totally agree that Brian and Roger are rather micro-managers and can’t even put out enough Queen DVD’s for fans, much less put their stamp of approval on this film. Maybe it will have to go to premium cable like Behind the Candelabra did.

    OMG, krads, you just crack me up to no end!!! LOLOLOL. You finally turn on your TV, and what do you see? Jerry Springer? OMG

    Please do yourself a favor, and turn on PBS. There is so much ca-ca out there, please try to find something of some merit!

    Shows like Springer, Honey Boo Boo and any Housewife show, as well as Jersey Shore, and just about any reality TV on any network, or especially on MTV or VH1 are just, IMHO, pieces of sh*t! UGH Yuck and shudder!

    The first thing that I pulled out of the box was a sheet of paper – the invoice – and I see your name on it.

    From Kradamour? Why would she you do this for me? I know you have a generous heart but it’s not my birthday. What’s going on?!

    Then I start to pull out business-size-card envelopes but I thought they were just that … business cards in envelopes … with email addresses, maybe a coupon, thanks for your purchase type of things … and I was going to ignore them.

    But I couldn’t ignore the fact that there were four tiny envelopes. Why four? What’s in the first one?

    Be careful what you ask for! Hoping you are “gobsmacked” with surprise! It was so much fun for us to plan this small token of our affection for you.

    This is when the tears started to well up.

    But the floodgates broke with nkd‘s card:

    I slipped it out of its velvet pouch and put it around my neck … where it will stay forever.

    Aw ron, what a lovely gift, and you deserve it. And as for gift giving, everyone here should know just how generous you are! Aside from the beautiful rose, you presented me with a gorgeous cuff (bracelet)! How did you know how long I have been looking for one? It is perfect! Talk about being gobsmacked! What a wonderful community we have here, and what wonderful friendships we have created. It really is quite amazing when you think about it.

    I agree with those who have major reservations about the Freddie flick. A lot of fans are registering the same POV on twitter as well. Not too worried. It sounds as if SBC was the driving force behind this film. It will probably go fallow now that he has dropped out.

    Adam would be a great mentor on Idol if they let him do it his way but, the way Jimmy does it, that job requires working all week and relatively little air time. Also, you have to play the heavy a lot (at least Jimmy does.) I’d rather Adam had a job that required showing up for two evenings a week, gave him decent exposure, and left him with a lot of time to record a cd and plan a summer tour.

    Has anyone been working on the ‘clues” in the Arts and Crafts video? Fans think that Adam is definitely leaving hints about what’s next. People were talking about it on twitter all day yesterday.

    Adam rips two pages out of a book (FYE and Trespassing eras?) then smiles beatifically and places his hands on his MAC (Apple – Big Apple – NYC?) Knowing how many hints he dropped about leaving RCA, it’s hard not to speculate that he is communicating something here.
