‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero
Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.
For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

It is exciting HK. I’m picking a boy. It’s great that the succession laws have changed now, so gender makes no difference.
I read some interesting trivia yesterday. Kris Allen and Prince William share the same birthday, both have wives named Kate and both are expecting any day now. It will be truly freaky if Katy A goes into labour this morning.
So nice to finally see the pic of Ron and rs meeting. That was a lovely moment.
As for “Feeling Good” !!!!! Did you get your new mic yet, Ron?
BTW, I read this over the weekend. Apparently the Prop8 people aren’t giving up without a fight: “San Diego Clerk Ernest J. Dronenburg, Jr., said on Friday that he wanted to pursue his own request for a postponement until the continuing validity of “Proposition 8″ is settled in state court.”

Apparently other clerks are planning to file today. This is a bureaucratic, behind-the-scenes attempt to delay SSM in California as long as possible.

Oh, Kate Middleton is at St. Mary’s hospital. My mother was a nurse there during the war. A mid-wife, actually. She used to ride a motorcycle to womens’ homes to deliver their babies, even during the blitz.

Brian is vocal in other songs too. Don’t care to hear that. It’s not like he’s harmonizing…just shouting into the mic.
How does that work. Does Adam hear him?
Brians vocals show up a lot in cos2mwiz’s video’s….I just find he doesn’t sound great a lot of the time.
I am thinking Adam hears him but would never say anything. I could be wrong.

So, I’m preparing for Glee and trying to figure out how to use the TV.
Figured out the remote and was watching something with a man named Maury Povich.
A paternity case with three adults who had all been told by various family members that one was actually the daughter of her grandfather, the other was the daughter of a family friend, and the son was actually his uncle’s child.
Mom is dead but they were all raised by some man named Harold and they really want him to be their “real” dad.
Closeups. All three of them have absolutely dreadful skin. Pitted and scarred.
Then we see Dad/Harold. The same pitted and scarred skin.
Okay, I know all I need to know.
Can.not.believe that people would go on TV and reveal this sort of thing to the masses.
Sitting there dumbfounded. Like watching a train wreck.
They actually did paternity tests for these people.
I am actually mildly curious.
BUT I, AND MILLIONS OF OTHER AMERICANS, AM NEVER TO KNOW!!!
BECAUSE NBC FELT IT NECESSARY TO CUT TO A SCENE IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL WHERE THE DUCHESS JUST GAVE BIRTH.

That certainly opens the doors to a lot of speculation…fortunately, we are REALLY good at that!!!
One speculation here at my desk is that Adam might have to keep the facial hair for a while.
Another is that when Cohen saw Adam sing with Queen (okay, in a video), he knew that it would be pointless for him to play Freddie, given that he can’t (as far as I know) sing. Def can’t sing like Adam. Or Freddie. So in shame and embarassment, he went to the producers and threw himself on the floor and begged to be released to avoid professional hari-kari.
Actually, that could make a pretty good opening scene for the movie!

So can he do Glee, and shoot a movie at the same time, write a new album, and have more concerts, and go out at night, looking for a new friend, and , and,
To be clear, Adam could pull off the performance aspect of Freddie but the more serious,sad, introverted part of Freddie and if it is added, his death, I think would be a huge stretch. As a hard core fan, not sure……
Also, Brian is a HUGE perfectionist, that is why there a so few concert DVD’s, he wouldn’t approve to release them, if it isn’t perfect the movie won’t be done.
LOL, I was wondering why we weren’t getting any updates on the progress of the movie. I think Sasha Baron Cohen exiting is huge. Not sure either if Adam could pull it off (except the singing), but will be interesting to see what is going to happen. Here is my guess….Queen will drop the making of the movie & scale it down to the small screen.
eta: IMO, if it was more like a documentary, with dialogue mixed in with real film clips versus a whole dramatic film, Adam, to me, would be great. But documentaries on Queen have already been done so IDK.
I personally would be nervous about Adam taking on such a big dramatic role as his movie acting debut. He would have to do a lot more than sing, and he would open himself up to a lot of criticism. He has said that acting isn’t his strong point and playing Freddie would be a very difficult role. Let him start with a comedic part in an ensemble piece and learn the milieu. JMO. Now if they wanted to wait a few years for him to get more acting experience……he could be perfect in the role.
ETA Just noticed your comment aely, and I agree with you.
IMO Adam should have absolutely no association with this film. He’s not a Freddiewannabe and should not be known as one. All these types of films are usually flops to start with, and all the crazies will be out in full cry.
