‘The Star Spangled Banner’ Broadway Bares midnight show 6/23/13 – Video by Sam Bernero
Following a busy June with appearances at Pittsburgh Pride, all sorts of New York events and at Universal Orlando, Adam is back in California for a few open air concerts. The first one is in his childhood home of San Diego on July 2nd and then it’s on to Paso Robles on July 19th. Let’s hope that between concerts (and after) that Adam gets into the studio to work on new music.
For this month’s banner, I listened to luval‘s advice and posted a video – an impressive “Star Spangled Banner” that Adam sung before a very appreciate Broadway crowd. It’s perfect for the July 4th holiday but it’s just as amazing to listen to any time of year!

That’s a great panel. Miley has grown on me. Keith was actually pretty good last year. He actually knew about music and was articulate. Miley knows her stuff too, and as we saw today, has no filter and a sense of humor.

I think Adam is off by one year. 4 years ago…2009, idol was over and the Idol tour began. He must have auditioned 5 years ago…2008…for the 2009 idol show. Am I right?

Am I the only one who is bothered by Virgin Radio 96 interviewing Adam about Glee tomorrow even before we know what happened to Cory, even before his funeral?
I think that AI tweet from Adam seems a bit strange. It actually appears as though it is coming from American Idol, and they are using Adam’s ‘journey’ on the show as promo for the San Francisco auditions. That is all, in my opinion.
Of course, I hope I am wrong and that is not all!!
ETA: Ha, the math discrepancy could be a sign that the tweet is indeed from the man himself!

Mils I was hoping you’d be able to do this one. It’s been about a year since Des Moines. I miss you. My daughter will go to this one if I decide to go and can get tickets. she’s not that much into Adam but with Queen she’d jump at the chance.
Calgary, I agree, but, he may have been booked before the tragic events of this weekend. I just hope that he is tactful( we know he will be ) and manages to not be called a publicity whore in light of all of this.
Show must go on.
And since Adam is a newbie there, he hopefully won’t be perceived as being out in the public eye while mourning. However, he is now part of the Glee family, so he will need to be careful.
Oh, I just had a flash of a thought, what if Adam and Lea sang Show Must Go On? After all, Glee starts Sept. 19th and the show is the 20th? Wow.

Oh, Jojosie, I miss you too! It has been almost a year. What fun we all have together.
I simply cannot go to Vegas. For so many reasons, time and money being the main ones. I will keep all my whatsis crossed for a Midwest Queenbert show. Chicago, Minneapolis, anywhere closer than Vegas or New York. It would be beyond my wildest dreams for a Milwaukee show. But, hey, who knows? Paul McCartney is playing here tomorrow.
And to be really honest, Harley is having a HUGE blowout celebration here over Labor Day weekend, many performers will be here, including Aerosmith and John Fogerty. Wouldn’t Queen fit right in? Marcus Amphitheater holds 23,000. Hint Hint Hope Hope.

But it’s so exciting!!!
Jojosie, whenever I think of our Adam travels together, one of my favorite memories is of sitting out on our lanai, with goatie, outside of our room in Hawaii in our nighties and eating those casual breakfasts of papayas with lime and salt and muffins from the market with pineapple tea.
And those cute boys we saw outside our hotel in Peoria. Turned out it was the same Hotel for Adam and the band too. And that one guy who was pining for Adam because he said he had made out with him at a club in Atlanta while Adam was recording FYE. Remember how we all just laughed our asses off? Those guys were so seriously hilarious.
And, in Hawaii, those boys who were fangirling so hard, and we “convinced” them to go over to the barricades and meet Adam?
Jojosie, like we’ve said so many times, it’s not just the blog, it’s not just Adam, it’s meeting people like you and traveling and having these experiences.
Let’s all hope for health, wealth and tickets to ride!

Audition was 4 years, 5 years…yup, that’s our boy!
I am thinking that Adam being on Glee would make him more attractive for SNL?

And I simply must add the wonderful time we all had in Des Moines last summer. Our dinner party, our VIP day at the show, and our after show get together in jlurk’s penthouse suite, with goatie, rainbowgal, mlg, and adamaddict100.

I’m thinking that if Timberlake were the host, then Adam could have pop-ins on sketches, especially those ones in mascot costumes JT does outside stores to sell crap, with those hilarious songs. OMG. They could just riff and joke. Gaga did that with him too.

I am soooo excited for Adam on my tv this fall! Glee, possibly on Idol as as a judge and for a televised Queen/Adam performance from Vegas. Sorry I can’t make that one.
Will be leaving Vegas Sept 3rd and going back late October for a wedding. Doesn’t matter! My glad bag is so full right now. Happy for all who can make that Vegas event. Hopefully that’ll lead to a couple full concerts over here.
Yeah, he can hold his breath. 
He asked me if I was in Montreal, London, etc.. with you and I said “yes but you’re in deep doo-doo if your cousin finds out.” It’s such a small world ain’t it? Just a happy Glambert right about now!!

CWM and tlkc That is such a huge coincidence that tlkc’s boss is my hubby’s cousin. I just told Billy to keep his mouth shut and I only told hubby that Billy’s PA is one of my online Adam Lambert fan friends. He thought it was funny. He still doesn’t know about Adam in San Diego. He knows I was in San Diego though with innocent looking riskylady and riskyhubby. Still doesn’t equate them with Adam. Oh tlkc, Billy wants bribe money.

Hi Cher! I was thinking that we might get Billy to cover for you on Q+A iHeart by pretending you were in Toronto, lol. The back-and-forth calls to keep the record straight might be too much, though. Bribe money, my eye! He’s too full of glee over this secret to let it out.
On Friday I had a meeting with two Board members and he showed up at the very end. He spent 10 minutes telling the story then I added a bit about our group. When we were finished, they said it sounded like so much fun that they want to come to a Toronto Queenbert concert with us!
RE: Idol tweets this morning – both Adam and Idol tweeted about his SF audition. It was definitely orchestrated. As for the “forgotten” year – what’s a missing year here and there between 29 year-olds?
Mils, I remember your story about the cute guy who had made out with Adam and was hoping to see him again. Here’s hoping we meet on a road trip some day soon.
Do you think Miley blurted out Glambert yesterday on purpose? I can’t see an all-white Idol panel but maybe they are going to have 4 judges. It would be nice to see someone like Pharrel or John Legend in there. That would be a very “get-along” panel.

Adam looked kind of rock n roll-ish in that one photo with the girl group. That curly Q curl dropping down from his forehead reminded me of Freddie mercury singing “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Am thinking what I would love to hear Queenbert sing in LV. Most likely they will do radio gaga. I hope Under Pressure so Adam can show off that glory note.

Loved the interview. He was so respectful and sensitive when talking about Glee. Excited and happy to be on the show, but understanding the present situation of the cast members. And like the rest of you, I let out a “whoop” (good thing I was alone, lol) when he spoke of writing music like a crazy person, revisiting his rock roots, and being in love with rock’n’roll again. He was so cute talking about Brian and Roger and bribing them to perform with them. There is clearly such love and mutual respect between them. And Ryan likes him, too. He knows that a relationship with Adam is something that is worthwhile cultivating.
Wait !!! Whats that sound?? The Heart of Rock and Roll is still beating!!!!And from what I see I believe them!
